Hi, love, love, love that paper ! Great job putting this album together. I too like a chunky album and the way you've crafted this is beautiful. Cheers ! Janis.
OMG!! This album is AMAZING! I absolutely love it! So inspiring...thank you so much :) I also want to say that your video was a real pleasure to watch..you articulate well..and you album is beautiful (I love chunky! lol) I could watch your videos all day..keep them coming!!!
This is such a cool album! Watching this video had me runnin to my craft room lol, so much inspiration! Thank you for sharing! Also your family is gorgeous:)
Suzanne! This is an absolutely gorgeous, beautiful and AWESOME Christmas album! You hit a home run with this album girl! BEAUTIFUL! Love all the tags that you made using Kathy's awesome example a few weeks ago. The tags are beautiful. I want to know how you made that Santa tag towards the end of the album. Very unique! Also, what spellbinders did you use to make all the tags? And punches? Thank you so much for sharing this Suzanne! It's truly a wonderful album for you to share for years to come. The papers you used are truly beautiful. If I had seen the Kaisercraft paper alone, I likely wouldn't have chosen it, but you brought it all together and made it look so lovely with this album. Congrats!
Thanks! By 'Santa tag', do you mean the one with Santa's arms open? It was a die cut piece from the MME Sleigh Bells ephemera pack. I used it at the top of the tag and reinforced the thin paper with a circle I punched out in thicker card stock. Private message me if you want to know more. The Spellbinders dies used for as tag toppers were: Labels 28: Item # S5-127 Labels 20: Item # S5-026 You can buy them at Joann's or Amazon.
A Creative Muse I'm going to have to get those two dies from Joann's. I have Labels #28 which I did a practice tag which turned out nice but the die is a bit curved on the sides, so you have to trim the edges a little to make the tag...which really isn't a big deal. I thought it turned out nice. When I move some pics off my iPhone onto my PC, then I can take pics again and can show the tags I made. Kathy is so smart and creative! I wish I had her brains/talent! LOL
Diane Starr-Jordan I hope you got the dies on sale at Joanns. If not, try Amazon. You can find the papers cheap at All Scrapbook Steals website. Good luck!
I absolutely LOVE your album, it is gorgeous. I am in the process of making this album myself and like yourself, I could not choose which designs to put in or leave out so I ended up using them all :) Needless to say my album is very chunky also, do you remember what size spine you used and what the measurements were for the hinge binding? I would appreciate this information very much, Thank you again for showing your great work.
I love what you have done with this tutorial. One quick question the paper with the ornaments and the candy cane on the first page what line did you use, what about the star in the front cover on the tag.
I think your album is beautiful. I am so new to all of this. I don't even know where to begin. It's very overwhelming. I remember seeing tutorials and now we have to buy them. Does that come with everything? I'm soooooo confused. 😳
I watched this over and over and well over- - I just love this type of layout of the book. it can be adapted to many different papers. I was wondering if you have a tourial for this. I wanted to say I just love your talent. I'm here in Oklahoma, do you mind if I ask if you teach in a craft store and most important are you local.
Thank you! And you're exactly right. It's rustic and modern. The paper lines were: My Mind's Eye: Sleigh Bells Kaisercraft: Christmas Basecoat Fabscfraps: Didn't see a name... Good luck!
Hi Laurel. Here's the link. It's by Judith B Stamps. Search "place photo" if the link doesn't take you straight there. www.stampsbyjudith.com/?q=node/617
Hi Suzanne just came across your lovely mini and I have to say I am impressed! Just fabulous! Of course I want one just like it so I have a few questions. What did you use around the reindeer neck, the punches and edger you used especially the snowflake one and the chipboard pieces, you mentioned something about a kit? the other question is what came from Fab Scraps. I have never heard of them? I hope you don't mind the questions, they say imitation is the greatest compliment and that is so true. Your work is lovely Cheers Mary
Hi Mary, Happy New Year! Glad you asked. The snowflake punch used on the angled pockets is an EK Success punch. I think its named 'snowflake'. The next punch is a Martha Stewart star/ snowflake punch. Look on the EK Success website or in Google images to get the correct names. I need to start writing the names on the punch! LOL! I think there was a scrolled flourish punch as well, that's EK Success from Michaels. The chipboard pieces came from the My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells line. Check out the entire collection at the All Scrapbook Steals website. They have them for 1/2 off! And a discount on shipping to. The Fab Scraps was the papers which were very vintage and traditional looking. Almost distressed. The strips did not have a collection name for it. At least I didn't see one. Look up Fab Scraps.com and if you see paper with the tons of Santa faces on it, that's the line! I just checked. The Santa paper reads: SANTA C69 005. I hope this helps. And of course the tutorial came from Kathy Orta at Paper Phenomenon. Good luck!
I love this album. I remember watching it over and over
