I'm so happy there's another video! You make everything so clear and easy to understand. I have learned so much from your videos and your books...... I am 70, and have loved pop up books since I was a child. Now I make them for my grandchildren, thanks to you. Thank you so much!!!
I am a Japanese who enjoys making POP-UP works. The video of Dr. Duncan Birmingham is very helpful. I am always grateful for your help. We hope you will continue to stream the video. I pray that the teacher will be in good health forever.
I'm glad I found your channel! I have your purple book about pop up mechanisms. It is what really took my pop ups from unsatisfying to work I could be proud of. I wrote a pop-up book to propose to my wife mainly using your mechanisms. It worked, we've been married 12 years. Thank you, I still have a lot to learn.
Great to hear that pop-ups charmed your wife! The newer book "Pop-Up Design and Paper Mechanics - How to Make Folding Paper Sculpture" is much easier to use than the purple one. Although the purple one does have a good range of mechanisms in it the whole method involves a lot of laborious measuring - When I wrote the newer book I had a much better understanding of the whole subject so everything becomes a lot easier - as shown in the tutorials.
Mr. Birmingham, thank you for your tutorials, I've learned so much from them! Resently I've uploaded a video of my first pop-up book, I often looked up some things in your books and videos while making it, thank you very much!
Thank you for showing your work - I think it's a beautiful pop-up book - lovely illustration and very imaginative and accomplished use of a nice range of pop-up mechanisms in the design.
Thank you for your explanations and for making us work on the projects making the patterns and measurements. Thus we learn and understand more about mechanics and its applications. Thanks for your time and patience. Always take care!!
You are wonderful! Been watching a long while since episode one. Thanks for sharing your talents and these paper mechanisms that others will share but not teach. Thanks for inspiring creativity in us all, young and old. We appreciate you 🙂
I love all your videos sir! I was delighted to have received a notification of your recent upload. Calm and Smooth explanation easy to follow. You are like Bob Ross of pop-up books to me whom I equally admire. Hope you are well and safe. Thank you!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! I do simple popup but every time I try the complicated stuff I fail. Thank You. I tried to make a popup book for my daughter and failed. I am going to try again.
I hope it works this time! Actually some quite simple pop-ups can be very pleasing if they are nicely illustrated. A lot of the pop-ups that are designed for young children are mechanically very simple but have big, bold, very colourful designs on them.
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials! They helped me make my own pop-out book! Love from Romania! (I also bought your book but I like your videos more 😋)
Dear Mr. Birmingham... Thanks a lot for every single video you did ... you are really inspiring me like many others ... hope you can provide another payment gate for donation since PayPal does not work at my place ... best wishes from Palestine, other than that you deserve all respect :-)
Thank you for your encouraging compliments - if Paypal doesn't work from your place maybe you could just redirect a contribution to some other artistic enterprise near you.
