Hi Jon, I’ve always loved this song, and thanks to your incredible lesson, I can now add “Homeward Bound” to my repertoire of songs (in progress). It takes a lot of skill, effort, and talent to try to sound like the effortless talent of Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, etc. Learning the song (chords, riffs, etc) is one thing, but learning the nuances and technique of Paul Simon, etc is the challenging part. The introduction to this song is a prime example of Paul Simon’s guitar playing style - hammering on and pulling off, favourite chord patterns used and repeated in this and other songs, his picking pattern, etc. For me, that’s why this song is “in progress” because it takes considerable effort to sound like Paul Simon. I’m getting there thanks to your wonderful lesson. I’m impressed with your skill level and teaching ability. Thank you again!
