    Real nice! I like how you slowly go over each part and play it at a reduced tempo, often, it really ties things together. Sometimes things can get a bit disjointed when you’re just calling out frets and sting number. I learned from your Vincent video and I found myself getting lost a bit frustrated a few times but I persevered. You make some of the most accurate lessons on RUclips and I really appreciate you taking the time to do so. It’s making me a better guitar player. Thank you.

    Hi, The way I think of the first two bits of the intro is that it is a normal C shape simply moved up two frets, take lift up your third finger to begin, play the arpeggio then put the third finger back. Also think of it as an Am7 moved up 2 frets then put down the third finger to complete the "C" shape. The next move is a run down to G in a similar way to what is happening at the beginning of Kathy's song. No need to worry about naming the chords.

    Paul Simon has always been my favorite musical artist and I hope the fact that there are so many different RUclips channels with people giving tutorials on how to play his songs means a whole new generation is discovering him.

    Do I need that clamp that holds the strings?

    • @orinthiamartin1189
      @orinthiamartin1189 5 месяцев назад +1

      You need that, yes. At least if you want it to sound accurate. Otherwise it will be lower, but still okay-ish. Maybe in the wrong key. It's called a capo and they come in different styles.
