Did anyone at WatchMojo actually play Stadia? Because alot of errors in your video could have easily been noticed by actually TRYING the service. Like claiming you have to pay both a monthly subscription and buy the games just to play them. That's completely wrong.
Great job getting everything wrong. Do a little of research should be the bare minimum. But I guess is easier to sell clicks. Also stadia never failed as per your title. It just shifted the business model to a GamePass type of service, which should work to avoid these stupid videos.
You don't need a subscription to play if you buy the game. How do you still have this wrong 2 years later? And it's your #1 reason why it failed lol. You're literally part of the #1 reason why Stadia is failing - spreading lies. Let me say it again: you don't need a subscription to pay and play a game on Stadia. The console is free.
I'll echo everyone else in the comments here: YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY THE SUBSCRIPTION! IT'S A COMPLETELY FREE PLATFORM WITH FREE ONLINE GAMES AREN'T ALL 'FULL PRICE'. ARE YOU AWARE OF THE CONCEPT OF SALES?
of course, I wanted to get a first hand experience, but 1. I don’t have a bank account, and 2. School and homework had to be cleared out. By the time I did them it would’ve been too late.
I'm from. India and i was waiting for stadia to comee but now it's been shut down, from my opinion i think it was a great service if u had a good internet connection
They didn't learn the lessons of OnLive. It had to be a subscription service. No one in their right mind would pay for full price games that you stream.
Onlive was ahead of it’s time. Even when it closed. It was bought by Sony who used its technology for the PlayStation Now. A more successful game streaming service
I can compare Stadia's business model to paying $10 a month for a Netflix subscription but still having to buy or rent movies you want. How the hell does that make any sense?

I have 1,000s of hours on stadia and play daily... it has the same input lag as my PS4/ps5... it had minor issues at launch but where fixed within a couple months... most people that have strong opinions on it have literally not tried it within the last 12 months.. everyone that I've had try in my home didn't even know they were cloud gaming until I told them... it hasn't failed...
@@j64 How blind do you have to be to know that it has failed. Just because it works for you does not mean it worked for everyone else. This video is literally showing you facts. I pre ordered Stadia day one. I had it day one of launch. I wanted it to work so bad but they gave us broken tech.
Stadia works great for me, it was not great at launch but now is my go to way of gaming. It's just sad how many videos there's been on youtube that gives such a negative view of stadia when in reality Stadia works great (if you have decent internet speed)
Its amazing that ALL RUclips content says you need yo pay sub and buy games. It has NEVER been that way. It has ALWAYS been pay for "game pass" and/OR buy what ever game you like. Sure I guess you can blame Google for it bad communication but it also proves how much research these RUclips channels dose...
The thing about gaming is that you are only as good as the best version of yourself. It's the reason why now when people review Nintendo switch games they review them on the superior OLED device or when people review PlayStation 4 they rarely review the base PlayStation 4 and they review the PlayStation 4 Pro actually to compare it to the next jump with PlayStation 5. The issue that Google had is that you are correct in that you didn't have to pay a subscription to play the games but if you wanted the best service you have to pay if you want 4K 60 frames a second you have to pay if you want to get all of the bonus free games you have to pay. So when you take Google at its best version and you compare them to others it looks really sad because as someone else said they should have used a Netflix or gamepass model and not treat a digital store as if it was a physical one.
You #1 entry is straight up misinformation. The Subscription is for being able to play the games in 4K resolution, AND access to Free Stadia Pro games, in fact signing up now gets you 30 free games. If you don't sign up; you can still play the games. You do not need to start a paid subscription just to play on Stadia.
Since Google failed at having a game console, I guess they won't be good at making their own streaming service or make good movies and TV shows (RUclips doesn't count, FYI).
Microsoft(Azure), Amazon(AWS), Google(GCP) are the top 3 cloud computing providers worldwide, they even own they're own private internet infrastructure like submarine cables, that's why Phil Spencer said that they now see Amazon and Google as their main competitors going forward
Actually Google didn't failed at making the game console. They have built a good working platform. They failed at attracting people to the platform. If there are enough games and users to the platform, there is not much to complain about. It is just a new style of doing things.
The real number 1 was that people didn't, and still don't, understand how Stadia works. The MoJo given reason of "Pay-To-Pay-To-Play" just proves that people not understanding Stadia was the actual reason... because Stadia "service" was always free, you only had to pay for the game. Paying a monthly free gave you access to 4k and surround sound (and eventually the free monthly games).
Staida was not always free not true bro you had to pay 10 dollars per month for like seven months and seeing how this video is about why it failed at release it a fair game
@@lorddiethorn That is wrong. To have access to stadia on day one you had to pay for the founder edition that gave you a Chromecast Ultra, the founder controller, 3 months included of Stadia Pro + 2 buddy pass to let 2 friends access the service . After those 3 months you were free to not renew and use the service for free playing games you bought or free to play games. Google gave a free stadia Pro month for everyone during the first lockdown in 2020. Stop spreading misinformation, you have copied and pasted the same comment many times under this video.
@@FantiR hi moron bro please for the love of god learn how to fucking read or remain a total moron. You had to paid when stadia first released and this video is why it flopped harder than a fish on the dock at release…. Ok that is number one number two staida is for dumb people who lack common sense. Because you could have gotten on the beta of xcloud for no cost. Stadia pro membership cost double the price of ps plus which I am sorry you are spending sixty dollars more per year. And let’s not mention stadia is not doing well because it’s a shit product. Ok now you can like a shit product that good for you. If stadia does not work for everyone the same way with the same internet well then it’s a bad product. You see this not the fault of just stadia however, gamepass and psnow allowed you download hundreds of games and by the way both of these services Don’t have hidden cost once you pay the sub fee. And stadia need high speed internet in order to run. Since you can download games to pc Xbox and ps4 or ps5. It’s not a big deal. Also the load times on ps5 are about half a hour even on a download game with fifty plus gb so the downloading of games is not a big deal. Stadia failed for several key reason. Lack of. Games all the games on stadia at release where old as shit. They had only one game you could not get anywhere else. Many companies didn’t want to work with google because they have a history of killing product if it does do well right away. If they had the brains that god gave bird’s shit they would have did what epic store did give companies money and make stadia the only place you could play that game. Not spent ten million dollars on games that were more the most part at least six months old. Now the second reason is the internet issue stadia was not free at release and most people were not going to shell out money on a new product that is unproven. Especially when it fact for nearly the same price at release you could bought a ps4 pro for two hundred dollars vs 170 for stadia. And unlike stadia you could give away games to your friends. Hi don’t spread any miss information now the buddy pass was not working at release. That is a total failure on google part. This what my brother did and I gave Him about ten games and I game shared. With him as well. And at the time you can buy ps plus and psnow for the year for 120 dollars and gain well over 800 plus games. Not to mention you probably could sell that same ps4 pro with all the ps plus games for a nice payday. I know people who have done this. People do it on steam all the time. I will be nice today and I won’t even get into how they puked all over themselves at the launch. The second key reason is of course the cost there games were overprice and many people still like owning physical media., seeing how if you still collect physical media u can shop around on console I had like five places I could buy games. I had live five stores in downtown pittsburgh that would sell me games and like two of them will sell me newer games within a weeks or a month out of release for like twenty dollars off. I had Amazon as well and the chain stores like target and Walmart. Not to mention the ps plus store. Now for pc I had like five different locations as well I had the epic store gog and steam plus places with keys. Not to mention as I mentioned in a early post steam sales are legendary in the games that you can buy for cheap for the price of three fully prices games I get like twenty games or more. Stadia sales won’t be able to beat these deals any time soon I highly doubt anyone can. And unlike stadia I can play most of these games offline. Now stadia probably could have done well enough if it was a Netflix like service like Apple Arcade, psnow, gamepass. Gamepass alone jump from 18 million users end of 2000 to something like 28 now probably closer to 30 million users. Stadia has not even broken five million users at least people didn’t download the app and you I think my download the app multiple times. Not sure how they count it. I mean the ps app has well over twenty million users I only used it to claim ps5 games when I didn’t own a ps5. So by the time I got my ps5 I already had something like 20 games for it plus the the twenty plus game ready day one for ps plus users. Many people have said they would not go on to stadia because if I am going on to a streaming service either you allow me to download games (gamepass and psnow) or I pay a front cost for everything. Both gamepass and psnow allowed you to play game on pc or console. And with xcloud you could play games on the go. Then there are things like geforce now which unlike stadia has a truly free version you only get to play for a hour however, I don’t many people would spent hours playing games on there phone nevertheless you don’t need to spend any money outside the sub feee and you are playing game you already own. There is also the fact and this will never change no matter how good a streaming service is it will never be as good as a local because of Physics. You are not playing the game on stadia on the pc, tv or phone it’s playing the game on a pc farm. And if you are not need a server blade or near a node it going to take more time. There is whole video review from the stadia haters that is what the staida fanboy call them. They were unbiased reviews saying yes this game works and sometimes well however, compared to the old ass console it does not run that well when it should be blowing people out of the water. I mean the Washington Post meme of how bad it was day one. Stadia is not a good product this a fact there are better services out there that give more stuff for cheaper or better. Stadia when white label that is never a good sign it does not do good number. Stadia had a Brief window of hope. When it showed that stadia run 2077 better than the older version of the console but it failed or could not capitalize on that fact. They didn’t have first party games there own stuido was shut down. Microsoft in Preparation for expansion there gamepass Library and getting ready for the new Generation of console bought five different studios before they bought Bethesda and it’s parent company. That is not even mentioning what they did a few months ago. Google half ass this which is what they do with a lot of there products and this why they have the website killed by google. Stadia is probably going to end up there or they will sell the tech to a company they are after all already renting it out. Psnow bones were the service onlive. Gamepass was building for years. Google drop the ball the entire time maybe it works for you. That does not make a good product because even on stadia Reddit page people have said I played it worse than my Xbox or ps4 or even my pc. Google does what they always do overhype over promised and under delivery if Australia head high speed Internet and was one of the 14 countries there probably be 100% returns because google would have broken promise day one. But have a good day. Have a good day if you loved this product so much you would be playing it not crying on a video. I am at work sitting at door making sure people sign in so I got nothing better to do right now.

How in hell do you fuck up such a silver plated service like that? The worst part is, that everybody wanted it to succeed. I'm glad I took the ShadowPC route instead.
Funny because it was the contrary for Nvidia GeForce now : at the start they were being shunned by a lot of developers, but they remain and now they have become the best cloud gaming service
It's not the best... GFN is a Windows renting service. Stadia is a console in the cloud. It doesn't run Windows. It has no subscription. No queues. No Steam/Epic. Stadia is literally a console while GFN is a remote PC. They aren't the same thing.

Bro stadia is going white label because it’s has not done well. Companies don’t really good white label if they were doing well. There not making a ton of money off the games. They killed. There first party company they are no longer paying for triple A games which is why most games on wiki don’t show stadia anymore. Stadia has been on life support since it was not going to be a Netflix like service. It’s bad business model anti customer compared to GeForce now, Xbox gamepass and psnow. Geforce now has a free version and let’s you play games you already own. Both gamepass and psnow let you download hundreds of games for no cost outside the sub fee. Asked anyone what would they rather buy an Netflix like service or something that you have to pay for each game and nearly nobody would say I would rather play for each game. Many might I don’t really play that many games but for the most part they would say the Netflix service is better and this why stadia was an failure. Go watch the worse console release video both of them on RUclips they show the massive issues stadia had at release and in its first year. Also got take gameing from the save person different channel goes into deals what some of the issues before release. Stadia is an failure. It does not even break an million player per month. I know old ass games that break that per day let alone Per month. It’s was a flop and just because you and few others play it does not mean it’s good or Successful. The ouya games lasted seven years before that finally died even though you can still used it as emulate box.
I wouldn't pay for a subscription of Geforce Now for just very few games that are missing in Stadia. For example, the Witcher 3 is missing in Stadia. If I need to play it on Geforce Now, I need to pay at least $49.9 for the subscription. The Witcher 3 is only $19.99 on Steam. I can play a similar game, such as Assassin Creed Odyssey , on Stadia without any subscription.

Been loving my Stadia since march 2020. I have decent 200M connection and I'm casual gamer. Only thing I'm missing is some AAA games like GTA and some PS exclusives
It didn't fail lol.. it's still growing a library of great games, and new players.. cloud gaming is something that not a lot of people understand and don't wanna invest in, but it's definitely the future of gaming and google stadia will grow once people realize that..
I bought into Stadia but only because for the $60 price I got Stadia, a new Chromecast Ultra, and Cyberpunk 2077 (which played very well on Stadia). It was actually very good. The controller sucked but it still worked very well in my experience. It's just a shame that it clearly felt like a Beta. Had they labeled it as such then it might have had a better reception.
Playing on local hardware is still the best way to play games. I gave streaming games a fair chance but the technology just not there..... yet. Its got potential but now i just travel with a console.
@@lorddiethorn I ain't wrong next gen will be cloud but it'll be by Xbox and PS instead of Stadia 🥴, hope you have a good internet connection by then, otherwise you'll be stuck still playing your old school games lol 😂
Let's simplify top reasons why Stadia Failed 1. Pay $129 + Monthly fee + full game price to "stream" your games anywhere (oh... you don't even OWN the game after paying full price... o_O) 2. Lack of exclusives (as they mentioned) 3. You NEED internet to play your games. 4. No physical titles means no tangible ownership of your games and cannot re-sell or trade in to help buy more games. I get it, cloud streaming is complex, but the business model of gaming today isn't going to work with a netflix like model. Why would any DEV support a platform for $10, $15, or even $20 a month , when they can make more at selling their game for $60, $70 each Before you mention Game Pass or PS Plus (PS Plus is a joke honestly) - Game pass is the closest thing we're going to get, but even that doesn't have a lot of AAA content that isn't owned by Microsoft. EA games are older titles (not recent) and yes Bethesda being on board helps a TON with value, but again, no COD, No Blizzard, no exclusives etc. So game Pass is a nice temporary gaming solution for when a game is out on it, you play it for 1-2 months, then cancel. Done. My point is, the Netflix "streaming" model for gaming just isn't sustainable. Google thought people would be crazy enough to pay FULL price for a game + a monthly fee... GTFO here... PASS
I just got Stadia, primarily because I can't find a Series X or a PS5 nor could I afford a PC gaming rig. And after playing Stadia on my Atari VCS (basically a mini PC) for a few weeks, I'll never go back to a console or a gaming rig. So It's not a failure. If you want to see a failure, just look at the PS5 & XSX restocking issues or the current prices of gaming cards.
Reason #1 Stadia failed: Google couldn't be arsed to put in the effort to make it work (which is exactly why everything else in the google graveyard is there to begin with).
While things may be pointing towards failure, I certainly hope Google can pull out of this nosedive, throw some marketing dollars into the project, upgrade the hardware, and attract more developers to increase their library. I am a casual gamer and as such I quite enjoy stadia and have for about a year and a half. I'm a pro subscriber so most of my games consist of the ones they give me, but I have bought several as well, the most recent being Far Cry 6. The service has its place, not all gamers are hardcore, not all gamers demand the highest possible graphics or the latest and greatest game. But one thing I dare say ALL consumers want is honesty in advertising, and Google needs to get off their tails and produce what they initially tried to hype up.
As someone with a functioning PC there's little to no point to Stadia. If I want a subscription service, game pass is a better deal. If I want to buy games, the library is both bigger and cheaper. Unless I was the kind of person who absolutely needs to play every game on max settings or on the go, even at the expense of latency, why would I waste more money on an otherwise inferior product? As to why it failed, I'd give an honorable mention to its fanbase. I might have given Stadia a try out of morbid curiosity were it not for the fact that every time I looked the thing up I was met with scores of rabid and absurdly toxic Stadia-stans. Similarly to their close relatives, NFT-bros, the average Stadia-stan's devotion to shilling their investement in the name of "the future" and "technology" is intense to the point of being cringey or irritating at best and cultish or straight up creepy at worst.
I tried Stadia for a month. While it's ok, i didn't like that I had to use a chromium based browser like Chrome or Edge, while I am mainly a FireFox user. (But it was expected). Also the pricing killed it for me. If I have to pay the full price on a game, I expect to have the game even if I'm offline. What happens to my games I paid for $70 to $90 when the Stadia shuts down?
@@quandrixtwincaster5738 no your not you fool lol. Steam as an offline mode they also said they will give people months before they shut down and you will be able to download the games. I am using Stadia and it is amazing. Stadia anyway have not failed. It is for sure the future. It is simply a new amazing technology and people are laggard to accept it. Do we want also to talk about the joystick? Well, it is amazing.
@@Wyatt843 sure that you don’t physically own your games. Because are you owning them with Steam or with PlayStation or Xbox when you do an online purchase? Anyway. There is Google behind. What is the possibility that they will shout down the servers? (This is the future technology) And even if there is this possibility, what is the possibility that Google will not find a solution for his customers? I see an higher probability of data lost with Steam or Sony in this case. You know what is the issue? Before there was an Oligopoly between Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Now, thanks to cloud there are entering in this market companies like Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Boosteroid ect… So, the previous companies are not happy, this is the issue.
@@Wyatt843 I don’t see the issue. You pay for a service which is more or less like Netflix and you have an amazing gain. You have: No downloads, no upgrade of patches, you can play with your Pc (every type, even if you are a Mac user), your TV or your screen, everywhere and you have a Joystick always ready with no setups. And also you have not the initial investment for the console. For me this service is astonishing. I love it and I would never go back. And I have no doubt that this will be the future.
Wow don’t let this mislead you. I use stadia as my primary way to game. With more crossplay arriving and more and more games, another100+ just this year, it’s so easy to play. This is sad

The idea of Stadia was always intriguing to me but I never gave it a chance. Scratch that, I haven’t given it a chance “yet”. I like the idea of playing games anywhere with any google device or any computer with chrome downloaded. Gotta see if it’s worth it since I have and are paying for subscriptions on PS and Switch. The number of good comments on here gives me hope though. I do like one idea that one person had in the comment section. That they should of just started off with indie games. Allowing them small studios to gain some exposure and probably turnout to be great Stadia exclusives.
People using themselves as a counter argument for Stadia failing is the same as people saying they had a Dreamcast or WiiU so that means it didn't fail.
@@adnanasif9538 I didn't say it the best thing, so don't put words in my mouth. I do, however, know from experience that Stadia is quite capable, as well as still going, which is proof that the title of this video itself is a false statement. It cannot have "failed" if it is still available and new games are being added to the platform. Also, unless you have first hand experience with it, you aren't speaking from a knowledgeable and qualified point of view to say it doesn't work.
honestly i just started getting into stadia and im not gonna lie ive been kindve impressed so far. i already bought alot of games on my xbox but since i sold it figured id try it out and at first my connection was all over the place and then i realized in order to play i had to play the game in 720p. started trying to use it on a up to date chromebook that i got today and i literally played cyberpunk for hours in 1080p and am kinda wondering if it goes by each devices capabilities. either way im still very impressed and honestly i feel like i would get more games on stadia. thought i would get one of the new assassins creed games the next time it goes on sale
Stadia has the same resolution for any screen capable. As long as you have a screen and an input device like the Stadia/xbox/ps4-5 controller/mouse keyboard, then you can play literally anywhere. I personally use my Samsung Tab s8 ultra of my Chromecast ultra to play
@@jefferyflood not really but you do need at least 10mbps to run at 1080p. To get 4k, you need to be a pro member and have a 4k capable screen. There is an extension for Chrome called Stadia enhanced which forces 4k as well
Good on you guys sticking to a dying platform with no future while everyone else were saying how stupid that was especially considering how many products have been killed by Google. How's the new Cyberpunk DLC running now?
Why are we lying about two pay-walls? If you buy a game you do not need a pro subscription, and that has never been the case. You buy a game, you play it. Pro gives you free games, and 4k. That is the difference. I buy a game, I play it.
I love Stadia. The controller, if you use it, is better than PS. You don't have to update games. You don't have to remove games to put other games on. It was the only system to actually run Cyberpunk correctly. You want to trash the system, but it's actually very good. Maybe y'all getting some backend money from the other guys?
I have loved my Stadia experience. I don’t have any game consoles because it’s too much investment for me, so this was perfect. I got two Stadia Premier packs (controllers + Chromecast) around Black Friday 2021 for cheap, so I’m fairly new to the service. I don’t find Stadia Pro to have a very exciting selection and customer service is AWFUL (expect over a month for a “resolution” and the resolution to be, at best, free Stadia Pro service, which is meh). I bought Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and a few other games. They work excellently at home. However, at my friend’s (who also has very fast internet), it’s very slow and lags a lot. 🤷♂️
As someone with Google Fiber, it was a pretty good experience at the start. This video and a recent post from the Stadia FB page (having to say that they are in this for the long haul) does not look good for them. Out of any of the major companies I would still bet on Google to do it the best, but the market just isn't there and they'll be waiting a long time to be super profitable probably. This will probably be shut down. Fortunately I didn't spend a ton on it and I hope there will be a way to extract the few games I purchased there (mostly with Google rewards points) into my Steam library.
There are many problems with streaming games. 1. there is always a risk of a game being removed or altered - if the plug is pulled on a game there is nothing you can do. 2. The internet is not 100% dependable no matter what internet service you have. 3. With the portable Nintendo Switch available - what is the need for streaming?
its cheap as hell, no subscription needed, i just bought cyberpunk and instantly played it for hours, it has its faults. I KNOW THAT BETTER THAN MOST STADIA FANS, but i like it because i can play my favorite games, so it really comes down to preference. have a good day!
Absolutely LOVE my Google Stadia. It hasn't failed at all, it's going stronger than ever and is still a fantastically dependable streaming game service. Red Dead 2 and Cyberpunk are so much better to play on Stadia. No sitting around waiting for updates to download and install. Did I make the mistake of buying Rainbow Six Extraction? Sure did. Did I wait for a millisecond to download or update the game before playing? Hell nah, Stadia. PS5 and Xbox Series X are going to be obsolete by the time they're readily available. How's that going to look for the next generation of gaming consoles? Cloud gaming is going to boom when the next generation of consoles is still unavailable and overpriced. Get on board now and start building your library for the future. Did you keep buying CD's? DVD's? No you use Apple Music, Spotify, and Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and Peacock. Gaming will absolutely go the same way when technology allows.
Stadia is AMAZING for solo or campaign games. You can play them anywhere without having to move a huge console around your house. You can also play it on your phone if your 5G is fast enough. Stadia is also great for cross-platform multiplayer games... but other multiplayer games are hard to use because Stadia doesn't have a huge player base like the more established consoles. Luckily I don't really care for multiplayer games (only Fifa, which is fine on Stadia, I always find people to play against)
Stadia works like a champ and is one of my favourite ways to game. It's unfortunate the Google repeatedly dropped the ball with this offering. (Though that does seem to be their MO). The product itself works extremely well - I really hope it has a resurgence, but I fear it's going to fade away sooner rather than later. It's too bad - it was nice not having to worry about rig specs and updates.
If microchip and gpu prices keep skyrocketing way beyond affordability, eventually we all may be begging for a service like Stadia to just play any new game. This includes both pc and console gamers.
Wow you dumb one google gaming cost more than something like gamepass which has all first party games day one and hundreds of games so it’s cheaper in the long term
What I remember reading secondhand is that there's a semiconductor shortage at the moment that's been going on for a few months now. It's affected all aspects of tech from PCs to cars. One company even resorted to using **gasp** analog speedometers! for their newest cars because of this issue.
Funny, I was just playing Hitman 3 on Stadia last night with no issues. 4K 60fps on a computer with no graphics card. Could have fooled me that it is dead.
I feel like if Google started with the traditional Living Room experience and grounded the tech with some exclusives, the streaming only concept would’ve been accepted when we game on the go. The quality of the games were actually quite good streaming at home but never confident going mobile. The Switch was the go to for on the go, but that’s another conversation.
They need to polished the business model behind stadia. Made it consumer friendly rather than another way to cash grab. Who knows maybe they can implement the idea in metaverse.
Oooohhhh, Google Stadia. The Failure that just keeps on failing. Personally, what killed it is that YOU STILL HAVE TO BUY THE GAMES!!! ON A STREAM GAME SYSTEM!!! And you still have to par the monthly service!! How dumb was that!?
The real season stadia fail was because they didn't advertise their free tier. If they invested in informing people about being able to just buy the game and play on an old laptop or old pc they could have had an audience. You can basically play destiny 2 free to play without having a console or a powerful PC. But o well.
#1 is 100% wrong. You don't need the subscription to pay for games and play for free. Never had to. 2 years later and you folks still don't get it. You're part of the reason why it's never taken off. You and all the other article writers that keep getting this one, very important fact, completely wrong. Stadia, the service, is 100% free. You can just buy the game and play it, no subscription required. Google should honestly sue every single one of you for spreading lies.
@@adnanasif9538 Point #1 is you have to pay the subscription to pay for games to play. 4K wasn't mentioned. In point of fact Stadia said up front that there's a base service (1080/60) and a subscription (4K, HDR and claimable games).
Hi, I'm a stadia pro subscriber and I mean it's the coolest thing. I live in Romania and a gaming PC is very expensive, I can't afford one, ps5 and xbox sx are not available... So stadia allow me to play at a very good quality, very good games, with great ease. So... Stadia's great. P. S. I have 1gb/s internet so I don't have the latency and everything moves flawlessly
@@rayanad4359 It's only like that now because the Stadia is a sinking ship and it has been for a good while now. I believe it might be in your best interests to jump that ship ASAP.
Yes I have used stadia since launch. Works great, so handy to be able to play games on multiple devices.... unfortunately alot of people think stadia is a subscription service, stadia pro is optional. Just buy a game and play (like you would on a console) but yeah the internet think it's dead for some reason? I'm still playing, I would find it hard going back to downloading and having to deal with storage. But yeah works great and I will continue to use it, why wouldn't I?
@@LukeySixx Don´t justify using something you like and have fun with. I use Stadia for playing Division 2 and ESO. It works great for me personally because of the convinience. But sadly haters gonna hate...
Well. I'm still playing with Stadia and I have my own experience. I have to say before anything else that I'm not an every day gamer. I'm just an occasional maybe a re-starter gamer but I really like this platform. PROS: 1. After Xbox 360 was released I was really excited to wait to a console where you can play with keyboard and mouse also. Not just contoller. (I know there are some converters and they are good but not the best) 2. I cannot feel the imput lag. My gamer friend also tried it out. He sad he really had to concentrate to the lag to feel it. Ha also said it's absolutely playable. I've also tried out other cloud gaming platform, the xbox cloud gaming and geforce now. At both platforms I can clearly say that the imput lag was higher. Xbox was unplayable. 3. At theese times when even entry level video cards comes with horrible prices and at some consoles the situation is similar.... It is the best option for gaming. I've got a modernc PC but I've also got a laptop from 2012 with integrated graphics (It's really weak) but it worked with stadia. Doom, Doom Eternal, GRID with a laptop without dedicated GPU at 1080P..... I quess it's not bad. IT's FUCKING AWESOME!!! 4. If I calculate with normal GPU prices I can also say that not everybody can afford them. Stadia is good for them also. 5. In the stadia store you can buy games but there are some offers when games are cheaper. For example Cyberpunk 2077 at 50% cheper than the original price. Just as on steam. For pro users there are offers sometimes with 90% drops. I just write that even you've bought the game with PRO subscription and you don't want to subscribe for longer time than you won't loose your game. 6. You don't have to make updates on the games and you don't need big size SSD-s to store them. Everything is in the cloud. When some games needs a lot of spece (for ecample 100-150 Gb) that's a big advantage. CONTRAS: 1. Picture quality: Yes.... you can see that the video is compressed but if you have to choose between that you have to buy a better video card to games becaome playable on PC or you can play any games without PC improvement that it stays on you. I can afford the lower quality because even that is not bad (YES the Overall quality is not bad) 2. Wifi problems: tipically at 4K resolution but sometimes on full HD also there were times when there were latency times. It's not stable on wifi. Use Ethernet. I cannot say anything else. At 4G use 720 P on your mobile. It will be fully playable and when the diplay is small that's not a problem. 3. Times when the games are available: I'm living in Hungary. Stadia was avalable here from 2020 December. Before that time Mafia Definitive Edition release was in the news on Stadia. It became available last year's October. Much more than a year later than the original debut time and just Mafia 3 Definitive Edition..... This is unnacceptable. I cannot say anything else. 4. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: Game libary. Let's see Stadia as a Console like PS or Xbox to Demonstrate the problem. It's a relly good Console. A strong one with controller and keyboard mouse support and for example if you prefer Xbox Contoller than PS or Stadia Controller you can use those also. But how can this console keep the race without AAA games? No way.... it cannot keep up with the other companies. Summary: - Stadia is a good solution for Console and PC gamers also. A company who can own a technology like this don't have to make and sell consoles and repair them if there is a big issue with it (red ring issue for example with Xbox 360 at microsoft, hardware hacking ability at first generation on Nintendo Switch). - You just have to buy the games and you can play them and you don't have to update them. BUT there are not enough AAA games on it. The Company have to invest or they will fail and this really good platform will be completely dead. - I have to say that also Google is responsible for this situation also BUT NOT THE ONLY ONE. Game developer Companies are also has the responsibillity for this (just like at Geforce Now where many developers taken out their games from the platform) My question is the following. If somebody pay the game just as on Console Stores or for PC than what is the problem??? It was long I know it. Thanks for the video.
@@volkerball3 No Witcher 3. If Witcher 3 is on Stadia, many people will not play other similar games on Stadia because Witcher 3 is very rich in content and very long. Second, no Elden Ring. Google needs to invest a lot of money to buy the copyright.
@@volkerball3 Some games on Stadia are good but they aren't top games in their field. For example, Sekiro is an older version of Elden Rings. It's good but cannot compete with Elden Ring now.
@@yifeipei5484 Yes that is the point which I don't understand. They've made something which is .. maybe not the best best a very good alternative thing to play games without regular investments on your PC. Than why they've made this platform? They've invested surely a lot of money and knowledge to it. Than why they've want to fail.....
I’ll every now and again use the PlayStation remote play app on my iPad relying strictly on network speed. Even under these optimum conditions the gameplay wants to hiccup every now and again and input latency can be an issue. I can’t even begin to imagine how well a remote play model would work by utilizing something as bipolar as an internet connection.
Stadia was built for people who don't have strong PCs or latest consoles. Those are people from countries or locations that can't afford these high tech machines. It just so happens that in these locations people don't have good internet connection or don't have the money to pay for a service product, or both. The target audience and the product did not intersect.
OMG. What a nonsense. No. Its not Steam with another paywall in front of it. 1. You don't need to pay Stadia Pro to play the games you buy. 2. To play Steam games you need...guess what? A powerful computer. You can play Stadia games even directly on your TV, on a crappy tablet, smartphone or a regular computer that you would only use for work. So the paywall that you have to play Steam games is way higher because a decent computer costs over $800. Stadia is just a traditional console but in the cloud. In the same way that you normally buy a Playstation for $400-$500 and then you pay for the games, with Stadia is the same. Except for the fact that you don't have to spend $500, so you can spend all that money buying games...and you can buy A LOT with that amount. Nowadays people may prefer subscription services such as Gamepass or Netflix. But there are also people around there that want to play FIFA, Red Dead 2 or any other and don't be force to pay more every month. Or be afraid that the game may be pulled out of the service before they even finished it. The biggest problem for me with Stadia is the lack of games. But is by far the best performing cloud service (lag is almost non existent for me) and is something I use in addition to Gamepass, Switch, Meta Quest or Playstation. Is just another platform. It has its pros and cons. But no other offers you the possibility to play triple A games everywhere with this level of performance. This video seems to be made but someone who has only played Stadia for a couple of hours.
I think they got paid by another platform to do this video. Literally nothing in it is true. No one mentally healthy says so much crap unless they got a hidden agenda.

@@jordanwhite352 also day one you had to pay to pay to play
You #1 entry is straight up misinformation.
The Subscription is for being able to play the games in 4K resolution, AND access to Free Stadia Pro games, in fact signing up now gets you 30 free games. If you don't sign up; you can still play the games. You do not need to start a paid subscription just to play on Stadia.
You did until they made the base plan free.
Since Google failed at having a game console, I guess they won't be good at making their own streaming service or make good movies and TV shows (RUclips doesn't count, FYI).
Hmmm... RUclips Red... wink wink
It is just a new style of doing things.
imagine if Google focus on creating PC gaming handheld device like ROG Ally or Lenogo Legion Go
The real number 1 was that people didn't, and still don't, understand how Stadia works.

Staida pro is double the price of ps plus and Xbox gold not to mention ps plus and psnow together are 100 dollars for the year so you get well over 800 plus games for the cost of under two games. You are dumb fanboy. Geforce now let’s you used three different markets places so you will find the lowest deal vs only one place. And steam deals are for everyone you don’t have to pay 10 dollars per month to get those deals I can buy 20 to 30 games for like 400 dollars and save like 1000 dollars i highly doubt you can get anywhere need that deal from that price and unlike you I can just carry my labtop in my book bag if I need to play on the road and I don’t need to worry about dated caps or spotty internet because I can play offline so if I am in a forest near Mountains I still good.

Let's simplify top reasons why Stadia Failed
1. Pay $129 + Monthly fee + full game price to "stream" your games anywhere (oh... you don't even OWN the game after paying full price... o_O)
2. Lack of exclusives (as they mentioned)
3. You NEED internet to play your games.
4. No physical titles means no tangible ownership of your games and cannot re-sell or trade in to help buy more games.
I get it, cloud streaming is complex, but the business model of gaming today isn't going to work with a netflix like model.
Why would any DEV support a platform for $10, $15, or even $20 a month , when they can make more at selling their game for $60, $70 each
Before you mention Game Pass or PS Plus (PS Plus is a joke honestly) - Game pass is the closest thing we're going to get, but even that doesn't have a lot of AAA content that isn't owned by Microsoft.
PASS
Netflix like service can work but not stadia and pa plus has some pretty good games on there and you can download the games so it does not matter
Surely the Stadia is looking pretty good right now 💀
I love Google Stadia A lot but it has some problems and I hope the best for Google Stadia in the future
Stadia marketing team: "Ah yes, let's tell people how good it is to play cyberpunk on stadia."
When u hav first mover advantage, you either set an example of how things are done OR what not to do. Stadia sure was the later.
Not to be that guy, but it’s latter 🤷🏻♂️
@@andrewalverson7088 sure was that present time
As someone with a functioning PC there's little to no point to Stadia.

CONTRAS:
1. Picture quality: Yes.... you can see that the video is compressed but if you have to choose between that you have to buy a better video card to games becaome playable on PC or you can play any games without PC improvement that it stays on you. I can afford the lower quality because even that is not bad (YES the Overall quality is not bad)
Summary:
- Stadia is a good solution for Console and PC gamers also.
The biggest problem is Google doesn't want to invest money on Stadia.
@@yifeipei5484
That is the point which I don't understand.... Why? They've made the best gaming platform for Console and PC players also.
@@yifeipei5484
Yes that is the point which I don't understand.
Reason #1: Nobody ever heard of it ...
everyone has
Stadia was built for people who don't have strong PCs or latest consoles.
Only one reason needed: Phil Harrison.
Every gamer knew this would fail from the beginning.
At least Amazon Luna is a lot better than Google Stadia.
It hasn't failed. When I play on my galaxy fold with my 8bitdo controller, I can't help to feel this is definitely the future of gaming.
Fully agree. It just needs to gain traction and have more AAA games
Wow and how many other people use? Gamepass alone gain well over seven million users since the end of 2020 stadia has failed to gain more than five million
@@lorddiethorn Stadia is still only 2 years old. Give it time and it will eventually gain more following
@@lorddiethorn dont be a fanboy
@@lankiebd lol how the hell am I being fanboy. I simply made an statement that gamepass alone gain seven million users in one year while stadia has yet to gain five million people who used the app it does not even break an million users per month. It’s bad product for multiple of reason. Terrible release. Lacking games that you could not get anywhere else. Having to pay ten dollars per month for well over an year to use the product(this an fact at release) stadia pro is double the price of things like ps plus and Xbox gold. All the games on stadia were at least six months old. There was no real market for this because one simple fact you had to pay for each game. So most people said fuck that. I am not defending gamepass as an fanboy lol I am just pointing out that it gain well over seven million users since the end of 2020. Stadia is an mess because of it’s business model
Everyone say the incoming failure before launch. They totally screwed Jade Raymond but she's in a better place now👍
Stadia hasn't failed its still going... I've been playing stadia for over a year now and I love it ... I didn't have to buy a expensive console ... just a controller. Love being able to jump from TV to laptop to phone tablet ... especially when my wife wants to watch TV and I can just swap to my tablet and keep playing ....
Me too!
So example to me why it’s going to do white lable
@@lorddiethorn have you tried it though?
@@justinwheeler2179 I have psnow and gamepass for pc why would I waste money also example to me why a company would go white label if it was doing well.
@@lorddiethorn just saying, don’t trash it if you haven’t tried it. I’ve had nothing but a good time using it.
