i don't think i've seen such a big smile on Mareks face but seeing him drive the Lada down the highway is awesome.

Сколько смотрю канал и не знал что Марк русский) Поздравляю с покупкой машины мечты. Тем более в Польше найти шаху это подвиг, у нас то их мало в нормальном состоянии, а там боюсь себе представить. Удачи в ее тюнинге и доведении до ума, еще раз поздравляю Марк!

I just love old cars. Whether it's cheap or expensive, they all have a story and memories from many people associated with them.
I never expected a Lada to be in this channel, I have the wagon version of this car and I think the videos about it will be very helpful! also grabbing some inspo bc you guys have a unique style
Congratulations, I love that car. Now that I remember it was my father's first car when he was 20 years old or something like that, I'm from Argentina and here they are almost non-existent, it's a very tough and reliable car

Some of the stories I have talking with my grandparents are when they finally got a car, a Lada are wonderful, the trips they were able to take and the places they were able to visit in it are amazing. they later got a maluch but they always spoke fondly of the Lada

Old Zhigulis... They made all the way from Russia to Brazil. We have some Zhigulis here, too... Their numbers dwindling each year, but overall, nice cars.
My grandpa had one, I always loved that car, and one day I will have one of my own. Even if I have to import it from Europe.
I agree with Marek, there is nothing really good about the car, but when you grow up with them, they become special.
Nothing is fancy on a Zhiguli, it is nothing more than four wheels, and engine and seats, but it is MAGICAL.
I know this is a lot late, but congratulations, Marek. Dreams are not made reality every day.

Congrats, Marek! Ladas are great! I do own one, 2103, from 1976 as well. And dash is originally from 2103/2106. They been same. Newer ones didnt had those centre top, round vents, or Wood-like co sole surrounding. . I hope it will give You a lot of fun and Joy to drive it!

Love the idea of a longer shift lever, I guess it would be beneficial to make/install a short shifter to compensate for the longer shift knob travel:) watching this video has definitely brightened my day, good luck with the new car and cant wait to see more of it

I always fancied a Lada. The plan was going to be buy it in UK, drive it to Moscow, sell it for spares. I looked into it though and it was hard to travel into Russia by car and not bring it back out. Also at the peak the UK were exporting 1500 Ladas a day back to Russia. There aren't a lot left here. Saw a nice brown lowered one for sale with 2L zetec a while ago. Should have bought it!

A few years ago i had a 4takt Wartburg and the gear stick was a 50cm long wooden axe handle. It was the best, i can only recommend, 11/10.

ladas are actually one of my weird dream cars too,they're really rare here in the uk, I love retro boxy cars,they look cool slammed,it is a legitimate piece of history and people can actually get mad performance out of them, gunna be cool to see where this goes

pretty cool car, but not in stock for sure, had like three of those, first stock, second injector 1.7 swapped, rebuild suspension + lowered + welded diff, third carburettor 1.6 with drift suspension and welded diff ofc, and it such a big difference between stock and right build jiguli
what a coincidence, i also had 1,6 carb with drift suspension and welded diff! goes crazy as fuck!
I am happy for Marek. He fulfills a dream. It reminds me of my childhood, Trabant, Wartburg, Lada, Skoda, Saporoshez, Wolga. Great vehicles that still trigger emotions in me.
A very heavily modified version, the reinforced one 🤪 Steering column with an ignition switch from another car. The ignition switch should be on the left side. But no car has the character of a VAZ. Marek can follow one of the Polish Lada projects with a V8 from the BMW e32 - Lada 666 by Pepez.

Its okay, Marek. I can relate. I bought an old 79 Cressida for the same love you have of that bmw. $8,000 for a 50 year old car thats not reliable anymore, has a slow carburetor engine that wasnt meant to go 80mph on the freeway, has a lot of problems that need to be fixed and handles like a wooden horse carriage rolling over cracks and rocks. But despite all that, we see our cars as perfect antique relics like we are under a spell of beauty.

Great deal for Lada in such good condition. In Russia we have higher prices for cars like this.
Your 2106 is from 1996 and my 2107 is from 2012. Those cars are completely same, except injector engine.
To lower it you can just cut one or two loops on the springs. If you weld the diff it will become a winter drift car ready to go.

This is rear wheel drive! What else can you ask for. Aren’t there many suspension upgrades available for these cars? That is what I would expect based on the fact that so many were built and they were around for ages. If it was mine, I would put a Saab turbo engine into it. These are bullet proof, should be available fairly cheaply, ca be set up with Trionic and with the Trionic suite you can even map them to your liking, Should be good for a few hundred horsepower - good Swedish style…

hey there with love with russia, you guys must swap lada 16v engine and also install turbo, for example order block from lada 21083 and install head from 120nd engine (from 16v) than u need forged pistons, crank from niva, and also pistons
the final step is turbokit)

For a lip try to find Kenmerry one, also there are shifter relocation kits for ladas, you can try to find it. There are a lot of these in Ukraine, so so you can try to order it from here, I think we got delivery options for Poland

If I would have a lada i would deffinetly put a R4 shifter in it and itt will makle itt sound like a supercharged car, also it can give down the power way better and its still useable:)
