Here Is A Quick Tutorial Of How An Amazon FBA Business Works (AMAZON FBA FOR BEGINNERS - Step by Step) -
Step 1: Create An Amazon Seller Central Account
This is the backend of Amazon, where all the products you see on the massive website are listed and managed. Once you have an account, which I will show you exactly where to go to do this, you will be able to do everything needed to start selling on Amazon...
Step 2: Find The Right Product To Sell With Amazon FBA Product Research
You can Use Amazon's Best Selling Lists (Just Click "Best Sellers" on Amazon's Home Page) to see what items sell the best on Amazon, and to use this to come up with your own product ideas!
You can also use Amazon Product Research Tools such as Jungle Scout, Helium 10, and Viral Launch to search through millions of products on Amazon, to help find a winner!
Step 3: How To Find A Manufacturer For Your Perfect Product
Using Alibaba, you can sort through world class manufacturers and pick the best possible option for your future money making product. This is the step everyone usually gets overwhelmed with but Alibaba lets you direct message hundreds and hundreds of suppliers instantly, making it as easy as it's ever been!
Step 4: Get The Product Shipped To An Amazon Warehouse
Using Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), all you need to do after your product is manufactured is to get it sent to an Amazon FBA Warehouse.
You can do this by hiring a freight forwarder! What a freight forwarder will do is handle all shipping, tariff, bond, and logistic responsibilities for your product. International shipping is one of the most complicated issues I have ever tried to learn, but a company Freightos and many other companies has made it easy & inexpensive for Amazon Sellers in 2020.

I just spent almost two hours researching UPC's and GS! including various websites selling "cheap" barcodes. When I finally landed here, I got every question answered. Thank you.
So just to be clear, only the FNSKU goes on our product and not the UPC? The UPC is just used to get the FNSKU?
That is exactly what I couldn’t figure out, unfortunately he is not explaining that. Because I usually only see one barcode on a product.
Yes! You can go to GS1 to buy a UPC. That goes into the listing. Then you label your product with the FNSKU. That is what Amazon uses to track it through the warehouse and you as a seller so you can get paid.
UPC just ties the product to your brand. FNSKU is what's on the product and what amazon scans

You have not even realized... but You was one of the first ones who informed to Amazon Sellers about GS1 = 1 for $ 30.

Hello Cameron. Just discovered your channel, your videos are entirely helpful. One major question I would love to be cleared up. If product I'm using already has a UPC code on the box it's in, do we still need to buy and get UPC? or can we just enter in the upc #'s and list it; and skip right to the FN SKU stage without having to go through the hassle of purchasing UPS from GS1?

Thanks for making this video. I do have a question. I am using Ali express for my products, I sell on Shopify. I do not have ANY UPCs or Barcodes. I am running into to walls trying to get amazon to approve without UPCs and they denied me. Should I invest in a GS1? I am afraid of losing a couple thousand by doing so.

Hello,
If a third party is selling barcode numbers, they should have already been registered to a company in Gs1’s Gepir Database. It will not be possible to have your company’s information reflected in that system unless (under that barcode) you were to purchase the original company. This is not an issue for most companies worldwide. Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot that really cleared a lot of confusion on this subject.. Just one confirmation I need; my understanding there will be only one bar code on the product ready for shipment to Amazon warehouse and that is FNSKU, and that is the reason Amazon is asking to cover any manufacturer barcode on the product. Do you recommend to purchase two separate GS1 accounts for each brand? GS1 allows you to enter a brand in the box when creating a GS1 UPC and thinking I can differentiate the brands when creating the barcode to work for brand registry? The one you showed on the book is not called UPC, it's the ISBN. Both are part of what we call GTIN's. All GTIN's are UPC, ISBN, EAN and JAN. Essentially, they're all the same but term-wise, they're different. ISBN is for books. More power :)

Hi Emilija, I actually looked at this video when purchasing barcodes too. I received the same error message and i contacted Amazon. In short, Amazon requires you to get a barcode with a company prefix. Meaning you will have to get the 1-10 package if you want a barcode. The video must be wrong/outdated.

Lets say that I bought a product from one manufacturing company but I got a better deal from a different manufacturing company on the same product, can I use the same UPC CODE on the new product? Please advice and also can you explain the processes of the UPC on how I goes, for example, I buy the UPC what's the next step? How Does GS1 is going to know our product or how is going to appear on the UPC data base, I'm guessing that that UPC is going to be unique for that specific product right, what about If I decide no to sale that product anymore? Thank you! If the same product essentially, you can use the same UPC. Should be able to change the brand and product on GS1 if you switch it out, would have to double check with Gs1 though

You can use the personal account in most circumstances but creates an accounting headache :/

I've got 10k into this venture and hope and pray it goes well. Although, when I go onto the GS1 site it doesn't show the option of getting just one GS1. Also, my other question is, by using a GS1 barcode will this eliminate the 5665 error message associated with this?
That is weird, this was new to me as well so maybe they are only rolling it out in certain areas. And no, you will still need brand approval but will help you get past that.
here in the uk I paid 119 Pounds + 20% VAT for 1000 Barcodes from GS1.
They don't have 10 barcodes or 1 barcode option yet.

EU Barcode will work fine from GS1 for whatever you want to do in US marketplace

Is an FN sku just for FBA?
I've used barcodes from nationwide with my best selling product, dang! Haven't been in trouble yet but it's really worrisome, and there's no way to change the upc barcode.. Do you have any adivce/?
No, you should be fine though if it was awhile ago, hopefully. No way to change unless you make a new listing. Can try to contact support to ask as well.
WARNING: DO NOT BUY THE SINGLE BARCODE FROM GS1. I did this and Amazon will not accept it. In short, Amazon requires you to get a barcode with a company prefix. Also, FYI, after you purchase, you assign your product to each barcode and then when you go to list your product in Amazon, put it in as a UPC.
