This is the most informative video on UPCs etc.. Ive watched tons of videos on UPCs and none of them had such a clear explanation on UPCs as this video. Great job.
This was so good. Do you have a video on how to get photos of the products on the item as well? So when the customer is about to buy they can stroll through and see pictures of it?
Hello Camron, great video as always. I got one question regarding creating the listings and get the FNSKU to embed on the product label. Can you create listings without finished product images/ label to get the FNSKU with only UPC code? I want my FNSKU design on the label so the manufacturer does not need to stick them to each unit.
This video really breaks everything down so you can easily digest the information, I was so confused until I watched this, now it all makes total sense. Thank you for this insight. :) awesome content
Great video! In the last section you mentioned the manufacturer has to put on the FNSKU even though there is an associated UPC. I do private label selling, have attached GS1 UPCs to the products and send them to Amazon with the FNSKU barcode. That being said, I re-barcode products with UPCs for WFS and other places I sell. I want to eliminate FNSKUs for new product launches and use UPCs so my packaging is consistent and I can stop wasting time re-barcoding items. I know there are plenty of sellers who use UPCs for every location they sell. How can I send them to Amazon with UPCs to save steps and time? Thank you!
I am trying to list a product from a established brand however, this new variation is not yet listed on Amazon so when I am trying to list it advises that the UPC that I input, which is on the on the back of the product, is not associated with the brand. Is there anything I can do to list? Should I get a new UPC from GS1? Am I even able to list a variation that is not yet listed by the brand?
hello Camron, great video. How many UPC do I need if my product has 2 items? Let's say I am selling a product and added a bonus item to it. Would I use 2 UPCs for the product itself and the bonus item? Or would I just use 1UPC as it sold as 1 unit/product? thank you
Thank you for the great video! Q: Do we need to put both UPC and FNSKU on the packaging of the product? Or FNSKU will work as we are generating UPC code to create an Amazon listing only and does not need to be on the packaging, right?
Great Video as usual! Quick question, if I have a skin care "set" that includes 3 or 4 different products (wash, scrub, lotion... etc.) but they are packed as a "set" in one box, do I need just one UPC for the box?
This is the same question I have. I'm just getting started. I'm leaning towards 1 upc per "sell" so 1 upc for the box. I have a bundle or set and I also have variations of the set. So I'm thinking 1 upc for each color/variation of my bundle.
Question for you: my upc code is on a bottle. The bottle is inside a clear/plastic bag. The FNSKU is on that bag. Both codes are visible. Is that a problem at the warehouse?
Cameron- I have been watching your videos religuously and I really need some help with shipping my private label products from china straight to Amazon Warehouse. My supplier said I don't need an FNSKU for my product since it has the UPC. Also i'm trying to understand all the shipping options, my supplier is telling me the products will be shipped using their own shipping carrier. Does this sound right? - and if so how do I set this up in seller central to give them labels! A cry for help literally!!
is it ok to print both the FNSKU and UPC codes directly on product packaging? This would save me from printing labels to stick on individual products and save me from the $0.55 cost for FBA to do it. Especially since I plan on also selling on Shopify and maybe elsewhere using the UPC.
Hello James , many thanks for your grateful videos . so i did my first item list on Amazon and tried to send my first Shipment to Amazon but the action message said " This item already exists and uses the manufacturer bar code" i don't have a manufacturer bar code, I want to use the Amazon bar code. so can you help me sort out this problem, please
Hi Camron, I am in the very beginning stages of trying to sell on amazon. I really appreciate your videos. I want to sell hand made items. Can you give me any guidance on using bar codes or sku codes or what I need to do to sell these on Amazon? Thank you, Mary
i have question is that when we apply for upc on GS1 its ask us about company name address we dont have USA address what do you give any tip left it or put our country information
Great content ❤ thanks for sharing . I have a question though, So I have my 600 bottles of parfumes , and I want to divide them in 3 categories . and I need barcodes for them , Now should I buy only 3 barcodes for each category, or all of them for like 600 different barcodes? or I can use GS1 Barcodes to buy just 3 for each categories, like i have 1 categorie of black parfumes for men , 200 bottles , then second categorie of phoenix , 200 bottles and third one is royal 200 bottles . so what should i do ? buy just 3 barcodes and print them in 600 other barcodes
Yo Cam!! Good guide!! Can you make a guy for noobies on best practices to contact support.. and to actually get them to do something. Hi. Thanks for video.Could you please help me? I have in 1 package 3 different colours of balls do I need 1 upc for the package or 3 different upc for each colour even if I will sell them by 1 package of 3 balls.
Kinda confused. Can’t you just lost as not having one and it’ll be created for you? I don’t understand the difference can someone explain ? Does this help with listing hijackers?
I have done this and I keep getting an error for the UPC and code. How long does the UPC take to update on GS1 for Amazon go finally approve the UPC I just paid for ?
This is the 1st video i find helpful About UPC . @camronjames all Of your videos are really helpful keep it up like that 👍 but i have a little confusion do we need to get upc for already listed items on amazon ??
I want to set up some new listings but i don't have a brand registered with BR yet. If i buy a barcode what would i put as the brand? can i get a "generic" barcode or does that brand listed in GS-1 have to match brand registry?
If i am a Dropshipper who's not in the usa and my manufacturer in china and will be shipping the product to customer from china without amazon fba services which barcode type i should use?
Question. If I purchase an item from China and they are already being sold on Amazon do I need my own UPC? Also if I am selling 4 different colors of the same item in one package do I need 4 UPC's or just one because I'm selling them as a set?
All this information is spread widely, they'll only need my fnsku for the packaging. I had my custom packaging created with a specific size space for my fnsku. Now my product is uploaded to my fba inventory, it turns out they have opted to use my manufacturer bar code instead of an fnsku, which is a little annoying as I could have had the supplier working on my product over a week ago and I wouldn't now have to have the packaging amended Make sure you upload your product to fba before getting your packaging manufactured as you have to put whichever barcode they dictate and If you get the wrong one put on, you will have to manually label every product, which means you'll be unable to get it sent direct to a fulfilment warehouse
@valleriemagnequestin1730 hi so if I have 100 of the same product I only need one upc right? Do I just make copies on my copy machine? And paste on my product
Guys i know this might be random, However i want to start selling on Amazon i find it extermely diffecult All these code , listing products contacting Alibaba , actually one of the seller in Alibaba told me that they are printing lables for me so i don't need to print label , How accurate it is i don't know . Please if you want to share any ideas i would appriciate it . We can work as a team . Many Thanks
I created UPC codes using GS1, and then generated barcodes using another website since GS1 didn’t provide me a free barcode. I had to shrink the barcodes to fit onto my labels (my product is small jewelry) -- I’m concerned that they won’t work? Does anyone know if it’s okay to shrink a barcode proportionally in Word-Label sheets?
You and every video I view are extremely confusing! Why does everyone talk so much, and so fast? Just give the information with out all the dabble! We don't need your personal information! The videos here are just as frustrating as Amazon requirements! I purchased codes with GS1 they stated, they are GTIN. I get that they are referred to as UPC codes as well, however you state in your video, "we will get both," what's BOTH you just said they are the same? Well sent my UPC codes to my manufacturer (over seas) and they have printed these codes on my products packaging. Also, I viewed a video here on RUclips stating they made their own SKUs, which Amazon requires for "stocking purposes," which are required for approval by Amazon. So, I created my own SKUs and sent them to my manufacturer. Now, my product's packaging has been printed with both codes, and YOU state here that "Amazon will submit these codes," so, which is it? If your statement is true then all my products packaging is useless. When I began the "add products" section, I added the photos and information required, and was then referred to "registrar" the "Brand." What's up with this! If Amazon approved my business to sell on Amazon Central Selling, which by the way is the business title listed as the "Brand," why register again! This is so confusing, stressful and time consuming! Amazon keeps this up everyone will be moving their products to ETSY! Ugh!

So many types of bar codes.... Which type of them do I have to use to sell on Amazon ? I want start sell coffee under my brand name.
This is the most informative video on UPCs etc.. Ive watched tons of videos on UPCs and none of them had such a clear explanation on UPCs as this video. Great job.
So, when selling an item that already exists we can just copy their UPC? Great video.
This was so good. Do you have a video on how to get photos of the products on the item as well? So when the customer is about to buy they can stroll through and see pictures of it?

Thanks, this was helpful. I'm an experienced merchant with Shopify, but dipping my toes into FBA for some hero items in the US.
Thanks for all your Great Videos!

Now I have no doubts, now I understand that for my product I just need the ASIN and the GTIN to be able to sell in Amazon and retail stores
Thank you!
Show us how to print barcodes from GS1 please
Amazing video! One last question, do we need to put both the FNSKU and UPC barcodes on the product, or just the FNSKU?
Thank you for the great video!

HI dear sir the private label product mean like you buy from chaina

Do you need FNSKU if you FBM, instead of FBA?

@@33_Sha I got the answer from another person and he said you stick it to the box containing several units and not on each unit
You need to stick FNSKU code on each item.
$25 barcodefor every product? Does that not increase the product cost ? How do we make profit? Am I missing something plz😢
Yes, but you order to your supplier 100 units for 1 product that means you only need 1 UPC.
