We've come a long way with Pokemon. I hear this song and it sounds so fresh and recent....but the game came out over 20 yrs ago. It's good to bask in these memories when life was simple
I could go right from the elite 4 to Red with around a level 50 team, as long as I had a crap ton of revives. You get to a point where you risk attacking until you're down to just one pokemon, and play the revive game for a bit where Pokemon A is knocked out, then B, then A, then B, until they finally miss one or PP out on their best move and can finally counter because I have more than one Pokemon alive. Of course that's only in the original. The remakes made him even more OP. I didn't bother. I'm not too into grinding for hours just for the sake of one optional boss battle.

So Ive only trained one, which was Typhlosion, the rest of my party was only used for environmental purposes like surfing or rock break. I got to the elite four with an level 60 or so (i guess) Typhlosion and beat the entire elite 4..... not the champion though. Eventually I became champion when I had a better team. Lol
Karen has both Gengar and Vileplume on her team... Most of you would reply and say they're not dark types or some shit, but they're coincidentally my two favourite Pokémon...

(Currently looking for Steel Wing TM and will evolve into Scizor eventually, just probably not before my challenge) Jynx- Sing, Powder Snow, Psychic, Ice Punch Charizard- Dragonbreath, Flamethrower, Fire Punch, Fly Raikou- Iron Tail, Spark, Roar, Quick Attack. (Might grind coins for Thunder TM- not sure yet.)
my first times to Elite was with Slowbro lvl 49, Kindgra lvl 51, Typlosion lvl 55, Espeon lvl 48, Pidgeot lvl 46 and Ampharos lvl 48 , after i switched my Slowbro for Tyrannitar when i went to face Red at Mt.Silver
