I'm 34, and have been on a self improvement journey for a little over a year and a half now.
Stopped drinking, started working out, started eating correctly. I lost 70 pounds. I got my budget right, I paid off $50,000 in debt. I saved money, I bought a house. I got a better job and started a business, now my income is over $11,000 a month. Life isn't great, but it's amazing how much I have turned around since 2021.

I give you props, I’m the same age though I’m nowhere near where you are in life. I’m still in debt, can never seem to find or get a great-paying job, and it’s looking like I’ll probably never be able to afford a house. If I may ask, what do you do for your business?? I’m always curious how/why people start a business… I think some of my problem is that I’ve never found something I’m good at that I could even do as a business, and I’ve dabbled in many many things over the course of my life and here I am still trying to find something I’m actually good at

The best advice I received when I was going through my divorce is, "take the high road". Don't be petty, don't slight the other person when you've been slighted, don't live by that "an eye for an eye" mentality. Take the high road.

It's more challenging to create a strong financial portfolio, so I advise you to get help from a professional. You can then receive strategies that are specifically suited to your long-term objectives and financial aspirations.

Quite true! You don't necessarily need to be a flawless investor; all you need to do is seek advice from an expert. I began investing in 2016 and pulled a profit of roughly $900k that same year despite having no prior investment knowledge.

I'm a courteous driver, I know how to merge. I don't drive slow in the left lane. If i miss an exit ramp, I don't stpp 3 lanes of trafgic to pull off, I go to next exit. I put my lights on at night. I'm in the minority and it's not right.

As a retired engineer I am convinced that the bipolar nature of our society has a root cause. That cause is "Only vote for one." Everyone must pick a tribe and it must be Democrat or Republican. Let us vote Y-N for every candidate? This would also get qualified non-typical politicians into the mix.

@vipero00 valid point, though (speaking from Germany) the polarization is more extreme in USA than here, but getting worse here.
Anyone normal human being who has even a basic understanding of the issues at hand and has an opinion on them, is likely to be (more) conservative on some issues and (more) liberal on others.

Best investment strategy for the average person is to buy high quality, no load mutual funds in good fund families (Fidelity, Vanguard, Janus). Use the Morningstar ratings too. I did deep-dive investing at various times, but found that, over the long term, my mutual funds did better. If you think about it, the top tier research analysts at those companies know a lot more than you do. And, it can free up time & intellectual/emotional energy for you to focus on other things.

@@xpaulx838 You can't be rich if you are born in extreme poverty in an undeveloped country. I'll break it to you in most countries outside of the first world Western meritocracies, there is an enforced class/caste system. In India if you are a black skin dalit you will never be as rich as the white skinned aryans unless you move to the United States or other similarly advanced countries. Elon Musk don't count because his family were rich white colonizers profiting from an enforced apartheid system & bullying Africans. In the Philippines you can never get rich having a job there, so you must move overseas to have a higher paying job to afford your family a higher quality of life. If everyone were listening to this video & do what this video says then everybody will be rich, but that never does happen just as long there is an enforced class system where trust fund babies become plutocrats & have a very unfair superior advantage over almost every other person their generation. You're being naive to believe there is a classless society in this world or what I was saying poor countries.
