Walked in to Gussie La'Moores in Honolulu on a Saturday afternoon. Sat at the bar and watched a NCAA game with a stranger down on the other end of the bar. A few guys came in the back wheeling in amps and speakers. I asked the bartender, "do you have a band tonight?" She pointed to the man I had been conversing with about the game and said, "yeah Quite Riot" I was sitting at the bar, drinking a beer, and bullshitting about basketball with the lead singer and didn't even know it. Just treated him like a regular dude.
Some long and demented results from an old Finnish musician. Read at your own risk... I definitely know all these bands. I should recognize all of the songs as well but I failed. What happened?!? This happened: #4 - Didn't instantly recognize Metal Health (Bang Your Head). "Unbelievable!" shouts everyone from the USA. Here's my lame excuse: I think it wasn't as big in Europe or at least in Finland. #8 - The only thing that came to my head was one of the many riffs of King Diamond's "Arrival" (from the album Abigail) even though it isn't 100% the same. That's an album I've listened to a countless of times. I've definitely heard Accept's Russian Roulette album but I had forgotten that this earlier riff from Aiming High was quite similar. Double fail! Accept was actually one of my first favorite heavy rock / heavy metal bands. In Finland we always used to call it heavy rock but we said that we're just listening to "heviä" = "(something) heavy". I think I listened to the "Breaker" album the most. I loved the variation and the title track was one of the first speed metal (a bit like thrash metal) songs. It was released before "Fast as a Shark" (much more famous speed metal track by Accept). Breaker is probably the first great Accept album even though I do like the previous "I'm a Rebel" too. Well, I even like a couple of songs of their debut from the late 1970s. The bass player Peter Baltes used to sing quite a bit on these early albums. I've always liked his singing and bass playing and his vocals added a nice contrast to Udo Dirkschneider's sonic attack. "Sirkkeli" is how me and my friends used to describe Udo's voice. It's a circular saw in English. So, it sounded very pleasant of course and we wanted more. I'm quite familiar with the first 7 Accept albums but it's been a long time since I've listened to Russian Roulette. Then I went and saw the album track list and lots of memories and melodies came flooding back to my mind... My brain decoded a very strict message: "Go and play Russian Roulette! You need it! Bring it and accept it!" I hope it meant the album. #9 - Failed this one as well. The only song I remember from the album is the title track and only parts of it. It's been ages since I heard Running Wild and Under Jolly Roger. I somehow still remember the great singable riffs of "Genghis Khan" from the Gates to Purgatory album though. I liked the band back in the 1980s but that's pretty much all I remember from Running Wild. Conclusion: I am Heavy Metal. Or am I? I'm worried and quite puzzled. "I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam" but also failed three times. When metal doesn't recognize metal it could lead into an existential crisis. My brain got more aware and I sensed something... "Wide eyes watch, my number 156 is shown". I think I'm getting mixed signals from different bands. Then the Electric Eye formed its deeper analysis. It was revealed that my right leg is metal and my left is made of progressive rock. Then it showed me that my brain consists of explosive materials and had been mostly destroyed a long time ago. That explains the holes in my memory. I also realized why I have some trouble walking. I'm only partially metal. Unacceptable! That gleam... it's really a scream! What am I?? Who did this to me!! I have to stop Screaming for Vengeance... "No one can hear when you're Screaming in Digital!" Anyway, a nice little test. Thanks.
Vamos a verlo y voy a ser sincero Iron Maiden sin duda pa empezar , a ver ? Je je je aprobado !!! Y mola , sin cantante es más difícil . Para siempre HEAVY METAL !!

I love heavy metal but I didn't recognize any of prezented bands.
Shame on me!😢
Killer tunes, Nice work!
The only band I don't know, is *Running Wild* I'm afraid...
I know...
Shame on Me! 😔
It should be called... If you know all these songs, you must be at least 50 😜👍👍👍👍
Nope.
@@NinjaRunningWild It's a joke...if you had a sense of humor but....NOPE 🤣
@@NinjaRunningWild Nope.....Running Mild 💅🏼
Nothing quite like the originals! Maybe we could have power metal next time?
Oh man, The Ballad of William Kidd by Running Wild is easily one of my top most played songs. Awesome to see them included here!
Mercyful fate is the only band i could guess)) King Diamond one love!
Just Quiet Riot and Running Wild that I didn't recognise, but the rest straight away.
70s and 80s was my time.
Excellent.
It would’ve been funny if you just included 10 different Manowar songs.
That bass line on Crazy Train, though. So strong it's almost distracting.
Missing some Def Leppard in there.
Nice one. Completely unexpected. Keep going, dude!
There was nothing heavy on this list lmao. Listen to some modern metal and try again.
I guessed all these songs within one or two chords. I'm 42 and was a teenager (1990s) When everybody was listening to trendy Seattle bands I was obsessed with Heavy Metal when it was considered the most uncool thing on the planet. Running Wild is the only band that gave me pause to be honest.
Been listening to anthrax iron maiden metallica my whole life. And a band some adults might not even know. Storm troopers of death. They did the main theme for head angers ball on mtv. Betcha you didn't know that.
Headbangers ball** oops. So many other bands. Dio, moterhead. Judas, definitely def leapard, van halen, pink floyd, slayer, so many bro, whrathchild america. Anthrax is one of my favorites. Among the living and spreading the disease are one of the best metal albums of all time. And I'm only 15.
@@ASpingOfMetal Nice mention of Wrathchild America, the most underrated band ever. and spreading the disease is one of my favorite albums.
well I got Most of them, Didn't get the Running wild one, wasn't huge on that band never got into them
How about a new video title: if you can name all these songs you are old
I was born after 72...by several years. Still nailed it! 🤘❤️🤘
Nailed six of them. Guess I'm not metal. Damnit. 😥
8 of 10 ... maybe some are recent bands (I'm still in the 70's/80's/90's)? Many thanks for some new music. Your channel is really great for doing mathematics and engineering - better than listening to some of the original artists. Cheers
Ozzy and Black Sabbath, this Ozzy Osborne fella knows how to find good guitarists 🤔🎸
I may be a 90's kid (92 specifically), but it is thanks to my late father that I knew these songs and how to play them
ich kenne alles songs und ärgere mich bloß, das ich die ohne deine Hilfestellung nicht sofort erkenne XD. mach weiter so 🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍
I’m OG and missed a couple, shame on me 😂🤘🏼🖤
#8 and #9 got me
@@dresdensinn6669 holy shit, those were the same ones I missed 😆 now I don’t feel as bad..
Lol I don't know the second band and the song...
6/10 songs hit, is it acceptable?
Gosh, I ve failed on Metal Health, and I do like the song!! I just couldn't call it to my mind
Nailed the others in less than 3 seconds playing though :)
So accept but not Metallica. Um. Ok.
8/10 here. Great job with the list
Although the song referenced here is not from this album, Accept's Metal Heart is extremely under rated. I recommend you give it a go!
can you do a 30 iconic symphonic metal bands list? please.
Nice of you to put some Fate in there.
Die Haare wären länger, die Riffs älter. :D
you have to know your classics
Usually I ace these kind of things easily.. but I admit I truly didn't know couple of these and several I was thinking until the last second to get right. Cool list and all songs sound badass!
8 for 10 on bands. 6 for 10 on the song names
I must be welter weight metal...
I didn’t get numbers 8 and 9.
got 8 out of 10, I was born in 2002
Who originally created Metal Health.?
1) Quiet Riot
2) Slade
3) Iron Maiden.
If you know the answer then you really are Metal head.
2
You are correct. You're true metal head. 👍
Alternate Title: If You Know All These Bands You ARE the True Guitar Hero Player
Only missed #8 and #9.
I love these videos! 6 out of 10 shame on me 😂
Walked in to Gussie La'Moores in Honolulu on a Saturday afternoon. Sat at the bar and watched a NCAA game with a stranger down on the other end of the bar. A few guys came in the back wheeling in amps and speakers. I asked the bartender, "do you have a band tonight?" She pointed to the man I had been conversing with about the game and said, "yeah Quite Riot"
I was sitting at the bar, drinking a beer, and bullshitting about basketball with the lead singer and didn't even know it. Just treated him like a regular dude.
Some long and demented results from an old Finnish musician. Read at your own risk... I definitely know all these bands. I should recognize all of the songs as well but I failed. What happened?!? This happened:
#4 - Didn't instantly recognize Metal Health (Bang Your Head).
"No one can hear when you're Screaming in Digital!"
Anyway, a nice little test. Thanks.
🤘For me All🤘 Black Sabbath is my Legend 🤘🤘🤘🤘👏👏👏👏👏💪👍
Only Running wild, I don't remember any of their song.
I know Accept, but I love only their first album, so I don't remember that song
Quiet Riot is the only band I've never really listened to, but I got everything else. Struggled for a bit with Merciful Fate but I knew I'd heard it.
Lovebites Rules!!!
8/10 ain't too bad!
Only ones I didn't get were Quiet Riot, Accept and Running Wild. Born in 83, been a Metalhead since the mid to late 90s.
5/10 Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio, Judas Priest, Motörhead, not bad
I would have picked Balls to the Wall instead of Aiming High for Accept.
Vamos a verlo y voy a ser sincero Iron Maiden sin duda pa empezar , a ver ? Je je je aprobado !!! Y mola , sin cantante es más difícil .
Para siempre HEAVY METAL !!
That was fun. I was too slow in recognizing the first song. That it was Maiden was totally clear from the beginning. I loosed by MercyfulFate and was very surprised, that Running Wild made it to the list. Thats a 8/10 ! Ozzy was doubled, so why not Scorpions ? To easy ?!
And some other Bands were missing, like Metalica or Men O War.
I spend my youth with them. So it was an old men recognized old songs. 😉 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤟🤣
THANK YOU !
Never hear of accept or running wild, but 7 out of 10 isn't bad. The only other one I got wrong was the quiet riot one 😅 (know the band, know the song, just been a while since I've heard their music).
Maiden
Black Sabbaths
Dio
Quiet riot
Judas
?
Motörhead
?
?
Ozzy
I’m a boomer who loves the Rock I grew up with. So far, I don’t know any of these songs but have heard of most of the bands.
These sound like great songs, so I need to expand my horizons. Sometimes life gets in the way, and you don’t pay attention to where the music has gone.
I knew all but mercyful fate accept and running wild but now I'm interested in those bands so thank you ❤
