- Hi everyone,
This is my collage for week 22 of the challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller this year ( see below for details, if the #2024CW challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The prompts set for this assignment were as follows:
1. ‘A border or a frame’ ~ I chose one of the Tim Holtz Idea-ology window
frames, a round one.
2. ‘Something found in a library’ ~ An obvious choice was to use a
vintage library cabinet card... so I did.
3. ‘A bug or insect’ ~ A fussy cut black & white bee plus a gorgeous
specimen style tag that was gifted to me several years ago by my
lovely friend Joy ( thanks again Joy 😁) were my choices for this
prompt
4. ‘A piece of newspaper’ ~ I really hate how the ink from newspaper print
gets all over your hands regardless of how careful you are... yuck! So I
chose a cleaner option, a brown paper bag printed with a newsprint
design. Close enough I thought.
5. ‘Stitching real, drawn or stamped’ ~ I did some random hand stitching
with DMC stranded cotton.
Bonus ‘Paint splatters’ ~ Random splatters using both white and gold Posca pens did the trick.

Ha ha, that made me chuckle. I get soooo embroiled in the details sometimes that I really wish I could just chill and not be so OCD about them.....lol. So long as we both enjoy creating our layouts then that's all that matters in my mind. TFW and BIG hugs C xx

SNAP, the telepathy is still working across the miles ... I recently raided my stash and used a beautiful piece that a dear friend gifted me some time ago too (you'll need to check out my pics to find out which one, lol). I've also used similar colours on my June tag ... great minds thinking alike yet again huh. This is a fabulous page, TFS.
WOOHOO, 6th time lucky! ... and I 'think' I've worked out the problem - it would appear that if I write the IG word out in full, YT refuses to post the comment ... can that be right?

We have ALWAYS had great minds so using the similar colours and a gifted piece is no surprise.
