This piece of music is single handedly one of the most disturbing yet perfectly fitting pieces of music for such theme as lust. The hellish quality to the track gives this eerie feeling the characters are walking into an infernal underworld as the music bangs from seemingly all angles and overwhelms the viewer, almost like they cant escape from this alternative portal they just walked into.
Thanks a lot for sharing all of this, it adds so much more depth to a song which didn't get nearly enough credit. Whenever I hear this it sounds like absolutely vile suffering and torture. Sort of like a white hot needle prodding into the mind instead of the body. But there's an incredible harmonic eeriness which I love too, like those prolonged grinding noises behind the thumping heavy beats. Really well done Ren Klyce and Steve Boeddeker, you added something proper special to this scene, albeit something that's dark and sinister sounding 😊 With the "I am sitting in a room", on the tenth pass, it sounds like Alvin's moved from a metal box into a room with crystal walls, and each time he goes through different passes, it's as though he has a reverb meter which he keeps cranking up. That end result is SO weird and wonderful 🥰
Strangely for me, the song is written with lust and arousal, which sets you up for sex, so to speak, and it works fine. You are excited, but you see the most terrible crime in the film if you already watch it 2 times. the first one doesn't work that much. Which kind of puts pressure on the viewer. he was aroused by the girl's moans, in such a terrible situation.
@@VasterLordUlquiorra Indeed, and I get your point. That sort of music doesn't get me aroused. It's got a vibe more akin to wrath. The only slightly arousal element is the subtle weird whispers of a woman. Each to their own, but those sounds stimulate me mentally, which I prefer to physical stimulation. Both together are mind blowing! 😃😄🙃 Also, I seriously doubt the woman who was the victim of the lust sin was moaning, she was likely screaming in some of the most brutalised, excruciating pain imaginable. All those acts committed for the Se7en deadly sins were truly horrid, but lust and sloth stand out to me most.
What instruments can everyone make out? I can mainly hear drums and what I think sounds like a guitar, my mother reckons that there's a tambourine in there too.
