Actually the reason why it sounds like a vacuum cleaner is when you install the fully adjustable transmission it has straight cut gears. Straight cut gears whine listen to the German touring car M3 in real life youll hear the whine.
In GT5 the more power you add the game just increases the pitch of the sound, untill it sounds like your driving round in a rocket powerd vacum cleaner.

as i said at the beginning of my previous comment I was comparing Forza vs GT5. I guess each game has weak pieces and just to make it clear i never said GT5 was a bad game I just think that Forza has more atractive caracteristics

@mohiahmed1 It really depends, if you want to 'just' cruise around there are better games out there. But having said that, on a full HD TV, GT5 in car graphics are some of the best out there. So cruising around the Nurburgring in a classic car is fantastic. But like I say, it depends what sort of driving you want to do :).
Luckily the next gran turismo will have like 500 premium cars and better sound (i mean much better sound). For now even if i own both games i will stick to forza, because even if the handling is not that realistic its still realistic as hell (for a game, if you are a sim freak neither of the two games is realistic enough for being a simulator)

How can 2D backgrounds, and paper crowd be "good detailing on track" since GT5 tracks feels empty, and i wanst playing much GT when i had the console, i dont feel the emptiness in Forza, and vehicle movement isnt strong GT5 side, i feel more grip with road in forza 3 then it was in turismo. excuse my bad english.

everybody knows the R34 has twin turbo so where is the turbo sound??...when you play forza u can hear the turbo and BOV ..forza is better every single way

Both games have their pros and cons. I like both games for different reasons.
