I had to smile when you talked about slipping the kicks between the hands. I was playing around with the six-stroke roll and put the singles between the doubles and it struck me that that could be a groove...so I've been working on it. I'm pretty sure somebody else has done that...but I just haven't come across that. Anyway, I love the idea of mixing up licks and or rudiments...I'm just getting into inverting...

My foot needs to be faster for this to work. Maybe keep playing with my beater adjustment too.

Its all about reps. The RLKK inversion exercise is great for you foot speed so focus on that and youll see a real improvement.
