Darragh comes across as a salty biff. I don’t often agree with Martin Keown, but he was spot on about player’s ambitions.
Both statements can be true. If you're at Brighton and you're playing wolves away, as a player, you know it's not that relevant to the Premier league, which in turn probably means no viewers so you're naturally not going to play as you would if it's against one if the 3 teams battling for the title.
Brighton’s ‘current’ business model is to scout well, buy low, coach well and sell high. Darragh is chatting shite saying it’s disrespectful to call that out and throwing his “if you owned a club” weight around

If he think his players are Happy to play in the championship he is a fool everyday they are hoping that a bigger team watches them
Of course, but majority of the players aren't good enough for that step up, and I imagine they know that. Of course the top players are hoping for a move but squad players are happy where they are

100% with Keown on this one. Not many players who have talent or in their prime will choose to stay at Brighton over a top 4-6 club if the oppotunity come. My feeling is that Darragh "understandably" wants to protect the reputation of his club by not accepting this about his players.
Don’t like that Darragh at all. Think he’s a passive aggressive and I don’t trust anyone who overcompensates himself as an honest man.
The only Brighton players not thinking about progression are people like Welbeck & milner..... Everyone else knows the score...
Even if someone from Brighton doesn't fulfil his potential and stays there for a bit too long, they will move him if they have very talented youngster in his place. It's all about the profit.

Nah, I think Keown owned him this time. Keown is right, players that play for a club like Brighton will see big games like the one against Arsenal tomorrow as an opportunity to put themselves in shopping window for bigger clubs.
@@iykeharrison9161 players know that a single game does nothing! The scouting network is massive these days, and single games make no difference, it’s about a body of work.
I agree that Brighton players will be thinking that if they have a good season it could bring them a big ticket move, but no player is looking at a single game with the exception of a lower league player in a cup match.

Brighton are the new Southampton, many said how well that club was run a few years back . However, if you keep selling your best players it will come back and bite you in the end. It did for Southampton and it will for Brighton.

This is the problem for Brighton these days, as soon as they bring in a player, the media seems to be pairing them up to another team, they have become a club that can't hold onto their players, but that may not be through choice, the bigger teams are demanding they sell them to them by offering bigger wages, Chelsea is a good example. What are they supposed to do. I'm hoping FFP can put a brake on some of these clubs spending ability, to stop all this happening.

Woww thats a bit cruel, they are a good club and doinv really well they deserve more credit than that. De zerbi has done a great job there ,not beaten at home since august that takes some doing.
