Adding tech pros to VAR and complete transparency with being able to hear the officials' decision making process is probably a road the FA /EPL simply won't go down. Far too simple - and honest.

TBF, Howard Webb wants to have live audio of VAR but the governing bodies won’t allow it. Hence the Mic’d Up programme being the best he can do.
I’m not a Peterborough fan but I do like Darragh MacAnthony as he speaks the truth and gives his honest opinion. He is right that why do lower league clubs get given referees from higher divisions as a punishment for the referees previous mistakes. The rules are the same at all levels

I still cannot believe we're still having this conversation when the answer is ridiculously simple.
1. Mic the referees.
2. VAR only gets actively involved for offside decisions or if they see an act of violent play missed by the referee.
3. Each Captain or Manager can appeal (within 30 secs) of a penalty being awarded, a card (any colour) being awarded, or a goal being disallowed or scored. This forces the referee to go to the VAR screen and watch replays provided by the VAR team to review his decision. Each team gets three appeals a match and they keep an appeal if the referee's original decision is overturned.
This simple change let's the referee do his job freely, gets VAR out of the picture and puts the onus on the players and manager to back themselves when they dispute a decision. In other words... put up or shut up!
Great ideas. On point 3, would it therefore not be possible to appeal the non-award of a penalty?

One thing they need to cut down on is the amount of repays in a game, it got ridiculous to nearly missing the action
Off side is easily sorted out, there has to be a clear gap between the attacker and defender, does away with fingers and toes being offside.
So players don’t have bonus for good performance, win, goals, clean sheets etc!
Most jobs in any industry have a bonus scheme!

Why would you pay your striker a bonus for scoring? That's what they're paid to do in the first place.
The offsside rule should be changed to where the attacker must have clear daylight between him and the last defender ie all his body offside, not just a toe or a shoulder etc.

Easiest way to manage off side is or the var ref to get three looks at it at normal speed and if they can see an offside then call it off, if they cant then it has to go in the favour of the striker. Current system is measuring toes nail width with lines, the strikers dont have goggles to show those lines, they are just guessing as best they can, sometimes from across the pitch!!!
Football needs to stay as natural as the game should be. VAR has fucked the game up already. Blue card as well. Known spot on with the ref bonuses. The ref is expected to Put a good performance every time, their professional refs

The lines for OffSide are killing the game, I'd do a video revision, if visually you cannot tell the offside, THEN Err on the side of the forward, hence IT IS NOT OFFSIDE, keep it simple.

Offside can definitely be improved, maybe it should be feet only for example. It's crazy seeing a wonder goal go in, only for VAR to take 5 minutes to decide that a hair follicle was offside.

You cannot complain about referees earning more money when players earn that money for 1 week... the hypocrisy is astounding. Referees have to deal with the childish imps running around the pitch. Thry should be paid atleast a respectable amount. They dont jeed the respect of the public, they need the respect of the players and managers.

Follow the rulebook the basics
For a referee to get to ref a Premier League game logically he is of a higher standard than what League 1 or 2 currently has that's why it's not a punishment for them leagues, if he does a bad job in them divisions too he should be dropped to the National Leagues.

Make it even fairer and have the refs paid by the clubs and they get paid the average of the wages the people on the pitch are getting paid. So obviously, they get paid less for most fa cup match than they do for a premier league game. And the refs get paid on a per game basis.

No one wants VAR. It was refreshing watching the Championship football last weekend with Ipswich Soton, which was reffed by the awful ref Salisbury, and with no pressure from VAR, had a really good game. No VAR proper football, which everyone could enjoy
