Great reaction.. Will always love Ivar he's misunderstood in alot of ways, hate when people say he doesn't feel or care for anyone when he clearly does alot, which is mainly why he's the way he is with people. . I think he loved his brothers too but he felt like they didn't love him back growing up, so when they decided to not give him the leadership because of their pride or the tradition that the oldest should lead instead of recognize his intelligence, he felt hurt and take it has a humiliation. So he became ruthless to get the recognition that he wanted and thought he deserved after all those years. I kind of understand why he did that. People who despise him seems to forget that he has an handicap who ashamed him his all life, and in top of that suddenly he lost the one person who loved him no matter what and he lost his father which who he didn't have enough time to spend and get to know him better, learn from him a better behavior and they died, leaving him with brothers who don't acknowledge him for what he could be to his people and to his family, and finally left him when he wanted natural revenge against the killer of his mom. Ubbe could of taught him to be mercyful but instead he has too much pride to help his little brother just because he rule over you. What Ivar has become is on them too.

He often lets us glimpse emotions and vulnerability throughout the show, but usually only for brief moments, yet we get an idea of who he truly is deep down inside. Season six is my favourite arc, where we finally get to see more of that real Ivar he’s always been, but had to bury deep inside most of his life, since instilling fear in others was his only means to gain respect when he was young. He’s one of the most complex characters on the show that goes through a rollercoaster of character development, masterfully portrayed by the actor who plays him. Most people do not understand this character, but he’ll always be a favourite of mine. He carried the show after Ragnar’s death, which was a tremendous task for the actor, because he had large shoes to fill, yet he succeeded, doing an outstanding job. Vikings is hands down one if the best tv shows ever made, I’ll always keep coming back to it and rewatching it.
Imagine what Ragnar's Sons could of accomplished if Ivar didn't turn on them and splinter their power and start civil wars. Then again there is an argument to be made that it was Lagatha that was responsible for fracturing the brothers bond that ultimately led to them turning on each other.

Of course all you say is very true, but lets be honest we love him because he is very hot most of all hahahaha, if he wasnt as good looking as he is NO ONE will like him hahahaha. There is a good reason why they put such a good looking lad to play Ivar and its because no matter how cruel he is we go like: ohhh well he is been mistreated, he is vulnerable ohhh yes he is good looking too so its fine we still root for him to do good and be a better person.

He killed the seer because the seer would interfere with his ruling (would probably confirm to other people that Ivar's not a God) 4. Bjorn wanted to fight for Kattegat, it ain't Ivar's fault they were that stupid that they got obliterated by him, lmao 5. That baby would die either way considering it had a mouth deformity. 6. He's young and he doesn't know how to rule because he has no experience..Also he doesn't know if he would be rather loved than feared which was stated in one of the episodes.

Because they're are actors who played the villains and succeed to make them be loved by the fan base and other who will be hate and doesn't like at all no matter how they are much hot. Ivar for example, he is the kind of villain that we love to hate.

And I hate that, because Bjor is no genius, he don't have a mind of a strategist and a leader, yes he has compassion and he knows how to fight but that's all, he doesn't have ideas to make his people evolve, he is good for traveling and war but he's not meant to be king. And has much I love Bjorn, he doesn't deserve to rule because someone betrayed his enemy and give him the chance to sneak into the city, but it was not his genius ideas who got him there.
