Instant Replay is a great card flourish that allows you to juggle a playing card in between your hands. The move is credited to Paul Harris and can be found in his Art of Astonishment book series.

@cutelittlebysam I used my old digital camera for this video. Seems like I didn't process the video with the right setting :( Hopefully I'll get it right next time!

For once in cardistry, i'm so glad that I had thought of that flip on my own. Practiced the back flip (180°), flip (360) and what I call a double flip (720°). Way easier to practice this move with a packet of a few cards, like 5 to 15. Believe me that's how I started with this as I couldn't really do it with one card. Then it naturally comes to you for the one card flip.

I find that practicing this trick intensely (over and over again, no breaks in between) and then taking a 5-minute break of doing other breaks helps a lot. I could only get it to land on the deck, sometimes not even oriented correctly (it was horizontal when the deck was vertical), about 2 times. After that break, I landed it twice in a row in a fairly good orientation. Practice and patience is key in cardistry.

I watched this and practiced a bit and learned to get it down and finally worked it into my ambitious card routine on a double lift. I found if you shoot it alittle farther with more spin i can get it from face up reveal in my right hand to face down on the deck. Works great right before my closing trick. Thanks bud and keep uo the good work. You and jarek are awesome. Two thumbs up!!

@ilovefudge1541 yup, hand size shouldn't make much of a difference at all for this move.

I remember learning to shoot the card with my righthand, so I came back to learn to shoot it with my left hand. It's amazing how much easier it is after watching this vid.

This is found in chapter 6 of close up kind of guy page 125. You can also see Paul Harris do it on one of the stars of magic videos think it's either two or three . Supposedly his sister can do it too.

One thing I've done consistently wrong with a lot of these flourishes is I would try to flick the card with my index finger instead of simply releasing the tension. It took some practice but shifting the action to my thumb to release was built on using the spring and the hot shot cut which have similar tension release techniques.

David Blaine does this move in one of his tricks, he startsdoing it and then is like "I can do it REALLY FAST" and just flicks his wrists, then he's like "did you see that?" and the cards changed places

I got the hang of using my right hand after a day's practice, but the left hand shooting is much harder...my index fingers are proportionally short (about a fingernail's length shorter than my ring finger) and I can't get enough leverage underneath when I'm holding a deck :/
