      I'm surprised that there wasn't more of a fuss made about this. While we don't get in a strop about it, alling an Irish person a 'potato' could be quite offensive to some people, given the history of the Great Famine, which I'm sure Kyrgios knows about. Potentially take a similar type of comment into another context and another nationality/race and there may have been some serious repercussions for the boy.

      You use your challenges wisely therefore, and if the linesperson is making too many bad calls they'll be replaced.

      He's absolutely right. That ball was way out and if an umpire can't see that going at 90mph he shouldn't be in the chair. But you can expect them to clearly see serves at 130mph? Sounds hypocritical to me. The umpire needs to pay attention to when points are done and if the players need to challenge. It's their job bro u can't say he's not right on every level cuz he is

      Kyrgios is pissed about the line judge not calling the ball out when it was very apparent, and kyrgios had to use a challenge to get the point. he also tried to challenge near the end but was apparently ignored by the umpire and was also pretty mad about that.

      @@ferapple I work in the tennis industry and believe me it is very likely forever for the majority of tournaments going forward. They are retraining the line judges for new roles.

      i can see where your coming from but i think he honestly gets a lot of flak in some scenarios. He's an honest guy and will call everything as it is with passion. If he knows something is wrong and he's absolutely sure he'll say it, that's not to say he's an angel either, he should always move on when it gets to him too much.
