    It’s crazy how different Nick is off the court. He did some good commentary over the last week or so at the Australian open. As entertaining as he is to watch when he’s playing, perhaps he’s better off not being on the tour because this kind of behaviour is disgusting. I don’t mind the odd laugh or bit of emotion shown but he was nothing but a bully and a child in this match and he’s done it many times before this too.

      Keeping him in the match is the worst thing for him. He wants a default so he can avoid the reality that he is not and never once has been as good as his fans want to believe he is. Losses absolutely shatter his little ego, that's why he tries to deflect from his own lack of success with childish tantrums.

    I'm all for chaos, and I enjoy what Nick brings (or doesn't bring 😶) to any given match.

      @@thebigsquirrel50 in my personal opinion sports like snooker, tennis etc must stay away from all the clowns like Balotelli, kyrgios fognini etc .. they don’t bring anything to the sports and they ruin matches like this one. Sinner was so professional and quiet but another player could have lost his match because of this continue talking of kyrgios . And ask yourself why when there’s a problem in tennis 95% of the time is kyrgios , tsitsipas, fognini … I really like to watch playing tennis and not seeing 🥎🏸 smashed on the ground and chatterbox like him

      Except he is good enough on court, that's nonsense, one doubles grand slam under his belt, final at Wimbledon and beat all of the big three on his first meeting with each of them, yes he sometimes had a bad attitude but that doesn't mean he's crap at tennis.

Winning a doubles slam being primarily a singles player and reaching a slam final doesn't merit saying he isn't good enough. He's massively talented and works out when needed. It's only his mindset and his injuries what prevent him from being at the top draw. It's only something mental and the fact that he doesn't view tennis as the Big 3 do

    wow going absurdly crazy over nothing and can't control himself and throwing a tantrum, cussing and harassing the umpire too much. I wouldn't be surprised if the umpire would get hotheaded and come down to punch him man. The way he talks shit, acts like he did nothing wrong, gaslights you as if you were the problem why he is losing, and then constantly belittles you like you are below him... This is insane. I hope he quits the sport.

    As right as Nick was in this case (i genuinly think he had a fair point, bc the walkie talkie thing was actually unacceptable), he shouldve been defaulted easily. I dont know what it is about these refs, if they have a rule they cant default somebody like Nick bc of the big crowds or anything. Btw: I am a big fan of his, but there are 3-4 of his matches he should´ve been defaulted just bc he kept trashtalking and insulting in an unacceptable way.

      i agree on the walkie talkie part but you have to realize that it's not the umpires fault. someone else from the staff wrongly used that channel, maybe it has to be turned on in case of any emergency

      Not enough to be defaulted considering people payed good money to see Nick play. I've seen McEnroe call the umpire a cocksucker and only get a point penalty plus the whole bad boy thing is good for tennis.

      @@cw9282 I am not saying its specifically his fault but what i am saying is that Kyrgios complaining about "how is this possible in a tournament like Miami" is right. I am playing competitive tennis myself and i can say that some disturbing noise and forced break like this is super super rhythm breaking. And in a tournament like that it should not happen.

    I’ve tried to see the good with Kyrgios…but I think I’m done with that. Hey may be a good person off the court, but he is just the worst type of toxic on the court. I’ll probably use him as an example to my kids of what talent with no poise or grit looks like.

    Both sides are in the wrong: kyrgios
    shouldn't have been hounding at him like
    that for the whole match. While bernardes,
    who had his walkie talkie loud, could've
    muted and most of all, he gave nick a point
    penalty for saying something to his friend
    about him doing a better job at being an
    umpire, which was too unreasonable

    Bernardes is full of his own ego he forgets his job at times: it's not about him but about the game. His role is to provide the best background for the game to happen.
