Such a great song from a band that cannot be destroyed. The Church will never rule, but they will always exist. I've seen them live more times than I can remember. Each time was different and special. Timeless and unforgettable.😲
I live in China so missed this tour, but did anyone see them at The Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill on this tour? The first time I saw them was in Chapel Hill, albeit in much larger facility on campus, in late '88. Still the best show I've ever seen. Of course, I was on ecstasy and mushrooms at the same time (the dreaded MX missle), but I was sober, so I remember it! But, the next year I saw them in Raleigh, NC on GAF and the venue was terrible. Second best was London 2004 on FY tour. That was freaking awesome. The whole place was rocking hard! Anyone at any of the above 4 shows?
Maybe that person liked the Church the way they used to sound, and decided to do a search. Found this, and, did not like it. I also used to love them, until Kilbey ruined then with this pretentious, artsy fartsy crap. Hey, to each their own.
looking forward to seeing them in the uk after 7 years - have been playing the album (plus 3 bonus tracks) for 7 months and just realised the first line is not citizens of Boston - you know they like dropping names about US towns - Miami and Laurel Canyon added to the long list- is it an official single? i assume most of the church army are 40-55 so have trouble with those download thingies - not a single cd single from this album- hope something will be available in brighton on the june 5
music + painting, what more could you want
One of their best tracks in a super deep catalog of amazing music. A stand up track out of an album chock full of rich sonic tapestry.
As astonishing tonight as when I first heard it.... stands up to many repeated listens
Awesome video with Steve's art work.
Thanks a lot for the info!😉👌
I used to think the opening line was: "Sinners of Boston"...anyway, marvellous song
the best new Church song since Block
The Church just go from strength to strength. First saw them in 1981 in Sydney - been a fan ever since :)

Majestiy and power ! Great opening song !
someone doesn't like it, yet this person obviously found it somehow??? over 14,000 views though. That's cool.

Enjoy Yourself, It is later than you think %)
great song...awesome eerie beginning
2:51: The Scream by E. Munch
The very beginning sounds like the very beginning of Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu" Check it out!

Love it!! Great video, too.
Don't know what they're calling 'majesty and power' either. Like 'shock and awe'?

EERIE! Great opening track...
great song. great vid. could have been a bit more ghost in the fog with word ups.. or just no text at all and golden, but fun in fine fettle
Only Steve Kilbey could use the word blotto and make it sound cool
…soon after dandy downer…😊…at 3’26”
Post the lyrics?
Good for background music. I was a huge fan in 1980- Gold Afternoon Fix, then not
Great song !!
They forgot the apostrophe in the 'it's'
I'm an editor, I notice that.
