- Here is a step-by-step reprocess showing how to upgrade your new Miller 220 AC/DC machine with a CK Worldwide CK230FX FLEX HEAD torch. In this video we picked up a barely used Coolmate 3 off FaceBook Marketplace, and altered a new Miller cart to accommodate the cooler. Part numbers provided for CK products!

Really nice setup I’m thinking of getting one for my garage here at home.
I bought one yesterday for my shop. My guys love it.
ChampChamp awesome!
You guy are doing a great job explaining the whole process and especially the cooler but you’re competing with your music big-time it’s hard to tell what you’re saying sometimes.
Kim Seymour thanks ... still trying to get this editing stuff doen
Great video and information. the music overlay took away from you guys.
I know. My bad
Nice machine.I like it.
great vid
Seems like this would be a great video if it wasn't for the music in the background while you are talking. Regardless of whether someone like that music or not it makes it hard to hear what your saying.
Greg Wilkins notes
Awesome apparatus 🇩🇰
The music needs to go it's a huge distraction to the great information you are giving us. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
agreed!
Absolutely!
I agree
What you are calling music is crap interference.
I would love a list of the parts that were used in the video I have the same welder. Thank you.
Just found this video. Fantastic! I can't seem to find the CK worldwide numbers for the adapter/powerblock. Can somebody help?
Music is sick, modwelder is sick
I have the multimatic 220 would you be able to tell me what size adapter I would need for the output side of the regulator I took that part off bc it does not fit my hose and I can’t find a adapter that fits the threads inside the regulator
The dinse adapter is P# CKS SLWHAT-35
great vid this helps seal the deal with me. thanks!
With your experience converting to WC torch what is your assumption as to why Miller when asked the question: Q by individual: "Is this able to run with a liquid cooled torch?"
A by Miller: Miller advises that there is currently no way to make the Miller Multimatic 220 AC/DC Multi-Process Welder 907757 adaptable to a water cooler."
i.e. are there any safety concerns or any fallout with respect to damaging equipment? Seems the engineers could have figured out what Ck did, no?
As a Miller Pro Partner, we had some interesting discussions with marketing regarding this issue. In the end I was told this addition does not effect the machine or it’s warranty. It, in my opinion, would have been best with the option of water cooled torch.
What the name of the gas for mig welding sir...mix co2 with argon or only co2 ?
If mix gas how many persen?
Regard from indonesia
what band is this?
Great video! Why did you go with the 300A torch CK230FX vs 250A Torch CK20FX? Also, what are the brass extension coming out of the Coolmax 3? I don't have them on my unit, not sure if I need them. Thanks
I have other machines i use each torch on. Tend to find something i like and use it for everything
So besides the CK dinse connector, was there anything else to convert this to water cooled? I wasn’t sure on why you removed the dinse plug shell. Any help would be appreciated.
Lovebox you have to remove the shell to plug in the fittings to the water cooled torch, as the dense is where it circulates back
What song is this? There is some guy talking over it.
Great video and torch upgrade. Thanks for that. Any issue running 2 x 120 cu-ft cylinders on that cart?
We do all the time. I don’t know if the cart holds the 200 sized cylinders. Let me check tomorrow.
@@GarageBoundLLC Thanks, I think Miller says 2 x 80 cu ft is max due to weight but I thought 120's might work. Definitely interested to see if 2 x 200 would work too. Cheers!
How is the duty cycle on this machine, miller rates it at a lower duty then the larger machines. Do you have down time waiting for the machine to cool?
It’s obviously not meant for all day continuous welding. That being said, we do a ton of different jobs with plenty of welding and I have yet to hit the duty cycle.
Was that a Miller music video?????
So did you have to adapt the dinse connection to get it to work? I was told when I bout my 220 that it wasn’t water cooler accessible.
the video stopped after he got the housing off... wonder if that step was not needed.
Nathan Leemhuis it’s not supposed to be. Just buy the rinse plug from CK
Garage Bound, LLC nicee 👍 u think a cool mate 1 would suffice? Them thangs expansivee lol
Is the CK dinse connector an SLWHAT-25M or 35M?
25
Can’t you please send me a list of the parts you got to make this work besides the cool mate? I have same Millermatic 220 and want to do the same water cooler tig set up.. hope to hear back
Me too
Wow amazing setup could you please give me the part number for the dins connector kit / power block for the Ck230fx Tourch kit? Thanks so much for this amazing mod.
BushWalker SLWHAT-75M is the dins connector!
@@GarageBoundLLC is that suppose to be SLWHAT-25? I couldn't find the SLWHAT-75M.
Jake Dunlap the -25
Garage Bound, LLC awesome how you cracked the code and hooked this up to a water cooler! I want to invest in a multimatic 220 and build a setup like this. What is the part number for the water cooler? There are 2 on cyberweld.com I’m assuming your using the 230V style but I just want to make sure.
Hawaii Fabrication i have the coolmate 3 that has a 110 volt input power. You have to run a separate power source, but no big deal.
Interested in what you had to say. Not interested in your music though.
Do you have to use the foot pedal to use the tig ?
You don't have to. But why wouldn't you use it or a finger control? Scratch starting the TIG is outdated.
I wanted to watch this video, but the music made it so I couldn't hear what you were saying.
Excellent video welder content. Your music soundtrack is terribly distracting, please re-edit and lose it. I wanted to focus on your wise points and could not do so. Thank you for the video.
@garageboundllc Hey Man, the Video itself was great, you did a good job of explaining this setup for Guys that don't have any idea how a Water Cooled System works, but they probably didn't hear half of it over the fucking Music. I am a Subscriber, and I like your Guys Videos, but I can tell you now, I was cussing you throughout that entire video. I don't know who did the editing, but damn, you think that would've been noticed. I like Music when there is time lapse stuff going on, or nobody is talking, but not when some is trying to explain something or narrate a video. Just saying!
I think you need practice on you lap weld I saw a gap at the root of your weld.I have the same machine And have some complaints about it especially on thin metal start up.
Noted
Bout one minute is all I could take. Thanks anyway.
Sure wish i could redo that video. Your complaint is valid.
How will you be able to put the cart back together 😂😂😂
It fits inside
Awesome music
Awesome machine and good video except....the music. Seems unprofessional to me. Again nice work.
Love the info but that music CRAP. please leave that to the headbanger skateboarding crowd.
Please don't stop the videos their great. Thanks
I know and i cannot change it
Could have done without the music.
Good video but holy shit man that music is too much
Lose the annoying background music so viewers can concentrate on your message.
Had shut your video off before it was half way through.
This would have been a great video without the stupid music overpowering what you are saying.
I am looking to buy the same machine and water cool it also.
It would be awesome if you can re-upload the video without the music. At least mute the music when you are talking.
music was kinda annoying and distracting to what you where saying
God, please free this man from that music. He is so good... but that music is...
Music, if you can call it that, REALLY SUCKED. Made the video worthless.
