- Trying to get her ready for smog and then get this other problem. In a way im glad it happened now and not in a middle of somewhere. The pump also got delayed by FedEx so that kinda sucks also, wanted to install this over the weekend, but looks like ill have to try and do it middle of the week between work shifts
The good news is its a problem that i wont have to worry about in the future and the smog and lights and brakes inspection went well.

Nick its your water pump. Its not hard. The fan clutch is the hardest part. Because you really hold the pully from sinning. Also put vaseline in the grove for the gasket. It will hold it in place so you wont fight it.

Hey I was having the same issue with the onboard computer doing its self test
p1000 code, as I drove my for over a hundred miles and still had the cell diagnosis come up on my scanner..... can you please let me know if those steps you have to do must be in order as far as you know I'm going to have to try doing it thank you..

Looks like bearing failure on water pump.also check belt idler pulleys as well for wear and tentioner i had to replace all three ouch.
Thx yea I’ll check everything once remove the belt and I know there is a seep hole in water pumps here do you know what it’s for? I’m guessing when bearing starts failing?

hey there i have a 2005 f-150 stx when i first plugged my autel ap200 scanner in it showed po446 code ( evap ) i played around with my scan tool paid for the ford option to use on a ford so i started to do scans all of a sudden got the p1000 probly from turn truck on/off alot so could i just drive the 100 miles or so to clear it...let me know thank you
if it's leaking after you turn it off its the water pump, at least that has been my experience

@@FixItNick I wrote that before I finished watching the whole video, I did not see you saying about buying a new one. Either way, the water pump has a small hole, which releases water when the safety seal is broken. When the engine is running, the water becomes Hot, the thermostatic valve opens And releases the pressure The pump, but when the heat valve is closed The water pressure increases and causes it to come loose from that small hole in the pump. I had the same problem in a car.

No I haven’t, is it worth it? I have a BlueDriver that works in all vehicles I believe except the f350 LOL
FixItNick yes it is worth it. All you need is an ELM327 with the switch and a windows computer. The program is free.

Im going to have to give your list a try even thou it says Ford Motor Company Driving Cycle. I am on 720 miles of driving on my Cherokee XJ and the system is still not ready I'm desperate to try anything. Hopefully this will do it.
Update me if it works, I’m guessing it might because it needs to monitor all those stop and go etc and should be similar on most vehicles, check out link for more details, google urs truck and P1000 see if find anything specific
@@FixItNick Update: so before i tried this Driving Cycle on my 98 cherokee XJ i have already put 720 miles on it and only one monitor that wasn't ready for smog. Last night i went through the steps. And nothing. Since its the Catalyst monitor that isn't ready i tried step #7 few times. And still nothing now i am at 800 miles on it and not ready for smog. Sucks, i was hoping it would do the trick. Maybe every car make has their own specific driving cycles.

It doesn't give me a code it just shows me which monitors are ready and which once are not. Its all good though as many miles as i already put on there i should be ready any time now. LOL
What about hose if have crack hose that mean you have need new hose radiator the best option just ask

@@FixItNick just info for you Ford was a bunch of ass holes when it came to these clutch fans the fans come off counter clockwise just some good info if ya didnt know once you pull the fan off you are golden
Oh and a amazing tool worth buying for the clutch fan it's a 42 mm wrench lisle makes a pneumatic set of fan clutch wrenches that you can hook to a air hammer and it helps a ton mine was stuck and over tightened by the factory
