July 2020. Still loving ELO
Last year I had a bleed on the brain, which gave me a stroke and my left side paralyzed. My dream was to walk again, and be me again.this song inspired me so much when I was really bad. Now a year later, I am walking again, without a stick I might add, I held on tight to my dream, the words in this song were so apt for me, I thank you Mr Jeff Lynne.

Hello everyone, it's just little old me, I'm doing fine now ,even though it will be six years this year ( 2021) that I had the stroke. I am leading a fully independent life, I have some problems, especially with fatigue, but I'm getting along ok. I have just read through all the comments and surprised people are still commenting on my first comment. I want to wish everyone health and happiness for always, and to remember to 'Hold on Tight to your dreams.

At 68 years old, I have come to the obvious conclusion that Mr. Lynne and the rest of the ELO band members have helped shape me and most of my entire generation into the happiest and caring people ever! Too bad you other "people" missed it! Thanks to Jeff and the band we had so much fun! Tell the others; You should have been there!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and make an inductive leap and infer, based on your overwhelming insight and readily apparent grasp of the lives of the 'entitled generation , that you might have missed something along your way! Keep at it. At your age, I would have self destructed. I'm walking a mile now and have gotten a bit straightened out. I hope to up my distance soon. I'm 68. Since I started walking , I don't feel quire as much of an old man. I've loved it since these guys came out with it. Keep exercising !

When at rock bottom I first heard "Total Eclipse of the Heart". The music is great was so depressed by it that I almost went over the edge for good. This ELO piece balanced it and helped pull me back. (And if you are ever in that dark place remember things do get better. It took a long time but they really did, and by a lot. Never give up.)
