The world is a better place with Jeff Lynn in it.
Their songs makes me always feel better!
As a kid growing up in the 70’s we had the greatest bands, especially ELO
Meeeeee!!!
Loved them fm Jr High and have tickets for this summer floor 30th row. They are some of the few remaining super-classics that aren't dead yet.
Thanks for the reminder.... LOL
Jeff Lynne wrote all of the songs and arranged them for ELO he is a musical genius
Yep - a genius and a legend indeed. That's why he's performed with and produced for a classic "Who's Who" list of the musical world for decades!
@@mountainguyyCompletely agree with you!!!!
He is a musical genius. 🎉
Absolutely true
Genius is used to easy these days. But Jeff Lynn said s a genius without doubt
I am 62 now in 2024 .This was my very first tape ever purchased . I was 14 . summer 1976 . I am still l feeling alive with Jeff’s music and so many many people, old and young , we are all in true delight listening to this masterpiece ,❤❤❤❤isn’t it? What a blast! 😊Thank you Jeff!!!
Pay attention kiddies ,this is the kind of music a legend creates.
Ok boomer.
@@tuomoluukkanen7265 Confronting truth is difficult for you I know.
Spot on brother !!
@@tuomoluukkanen7265 You can call me banger too
@Michael M. almost absolutely true
Who’s listening to this great song 2024
ME!
Me!! Wish I was there what an atmosphere!! And the great Langley sisters!!
Right hear in Phoenix, Arizona
Damn they are so beautiful!
Me I’m in uk going back to when there was peace for a short time, feck I wish we could go back when music and lobe ruled rhe world
Jeff Lynne is one of the most underrated musicians of all time. I’m 63 years old, and they have been on my bucket list for years! I’m finally seeing them in Boston🍀with my 34 year old daughter, who also loves them🇺🇸
lucky bastard i was gonna go but 300$ per tix
PS IM 63 ALSO
F&%K IT IM GOING
Listening from Sao Paulo. Great !
Wot a lucky lucky bastroid...
Classics like ELO are more appreciated the more time passes by....God given talent.
Jeff Lynne, keeping Celloists and violinists employed since the 70's.
Keeping BEAUTIFUL celloists and violinists employed......
No Jeff’s been kicking Cellists and violinists out of the band sense The Album Discovery
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 awesome !
@@nightisright1873 And replacing them with other ones.
@Moon Cat That's no wig you smartass.
A forty-years old song that sounds as if it was written yesterday.
Believe it or not, but Jeff is already 71 years of age.
You wouldn't believe that if you didnt know him.He hasnt lost a step , Jeff is a musical genius, and his entire band are phenomenal, Electric Light Orchestra is right!!
He'll be 71 in December, he's still 70
Si, el tiempo no existe!
But they couldn't of written it yesterday because they don't write them like this anymore....:-)
@@MrMsaldebar This is the irony of the situation isn't it? Songs like Livin' Thing, Telephone Line, Mr Blue Sky and the sublime "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" DO sound like they could have been written yesterday rather than 40+ years ago. They are the very definition of timeless music.
Rosie Langley on the violin is one of the three Langley Sisters. The other two sisters are playing the bass & cello fiddles in the background. Three very talented ladies.
and they're all beautiful. Rosie gets the praise here, but they're all so wonderful!
Every time someone likes this comment I will listen to this hymn again!!
It is time again my friend. Listen and enjoy
Time for another ear therapy session
Now ya got to listen to it 3 times over a friday, saturday and sunday since i not only liked it but commented twice. Awesome music with all they have done through the years.
Im from long island and i lov ELO NASSAU COLISEUM AND JONES BEACH
I LOVE ELO L9NG ISLAND LOVES ELO
Rosie Langley, one of the most beautiful women on the planet.
And so very talented
If she's not. She's tied for first. Great on that fiddle 🎻
Hey y'all. In my opinion Rosie is THE most beautiful woman anywhere on the planet. If she's not then speak now or forever hold your peace. I await your reply. Good luck.
Yep
Most beautiful and talented!
Rosie langley, the most beautiful Living Thing I've ever seen!!!
Yes
NKB Guy you are so right she is so gorgeous
By far🦋💯💜❤️
She must also had been an ELO fan learning their violin solos.
And can cook too! lol.
Sir Jeff lynne. Hopefully the king will recognise this man’s brilliance and award him a knighthood.
he probably turned it down. he's a genius.
1975-76-77 .... words can’t describe how great it was ... im glad I was there
Me too!!
The "orchestra" is what made this "band" so brilliant, Jeff Lynne was/is a visionary, great music is great music..
Yes I am almost Jeff lynne's age, and then I said the very same thing when this album first came out which I still have by the way, God blessed me LOL
composition made this "band" so brilliant. An orchestra is nothing without a songsheet
ELO sounds right. ELB, not so much.

I agree 💯
40 years later they still sound amazing
To Derek and all of the kindred generations who were chosen to decide the next age of the multi selection of must: my companions in taste.Does anyone know what one of the factors in classical choice? The test of time.SO FAR DO GREAT. So long for now.
@@mikeshea8077 ... You made word salad out of weeds.
@Susan Lucarelli ... Dessert! Top it with Cool Whip!
40 years ago I was 19... a great time to be alive & 19. Just saying. 😁
@@apryLwitha_why ... You have a great playlist. One from Red Sovine you might like is Giddy up Go.
Still sounds as good now as when it did back in the 70s
I'm thinking that ELO is a unique situation where the principal (JL) and most of the key people are alive, playing, and the soul of the songs is excellent, and the string arrangements have been polished and just glisten like jewels. For example, the violin part of this song sounds more complex now than in the older album cuts. The cellos etc. are now played by serious professionals, not some talented hippie kid DANCING around a stage with a freaking cello! It was cool looking but this is better musically.
Sounds great
You people that think he is really singing crack me up😂🤣
@@oyetos almost as absurd as the Wibury's performing
@@etaoinbshrdlu It is fantastic that Jeff can now perform the songs live as they were intended. Worth saying that the strings are backed up by (at least) one of the three keyboard players using the very latest orchestral samples. Those sounds weren't available in the 70's / early 80's. Cheers.
Bucket list item: see Jeff Lynne's ELO live. Soundtrack of my youth.
Rosie’s incredible talent is only surpassed by her beauty
Completely unnecessary. Sleep well...
Agreed Marcel, only idiots pretending to be woke will not accept the obvious. I’m certain Rosie would love your comment.
You seem certain..lol.How misogynistic to assume women want their looks remarked upon by strange men.
There is nothing wrong with calling her pretty. Shut up
All those women are beautiful 😍
Reading the comments I realized that Rosie Langley caught all attention. She is really beautiful and showing a bit of her legs drove people crazy.
So Jeff's 71? It's the new 45!!!
I am 64 I can remember playing elo in my car on my Craig powerplay the best money could by in late 70s it was awesome my bucket list is to see them live
I had the same in my mother's Plymouth Sport Fury! Hooked up to Jensen CoAx 6x9's. Heaven on wheels.
Better get a move on, Jeff's Farewell Tour is this year - 2024.
I almost can’t believe the quality of Jeff Lynne and the band in these live performances I’ve viewed, just awesome
Its the quality of talent!
Sounds just like a recording.
He looks so damn happy to be playing his own music again. Well deserved.
Well, there is Rosie playing along side.
The chick on the violin good lord almighty I would melt next to her. 😍😍😍💯🎇❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Very talented . What a smoking babe!
One of the few bands that's difficult to cover. Such an original sound, even to this day.
Rosie Langley is the best looking violinist in the band's history.
Jeff Lynne is someone I would love to have a beer with. I've been listening to his music FOREVER. As a classically trained pianist I'm still playing in rock bands at 67, started with the Beatles, lived on ELO music in the 70s and still do. I just keep coming back to songs like this one. He has been the driving force behind so many great projects and awesome music, but has never wanted the limelight. He has always been, and will always be a tremendous talent. Everything he touches turns to gold. His music will live forever.
Sir yes sir
You're a classically trained pianist and are still playing in rock bands at 67? Time to find another hobby....
@@unclerudy9797 Why would I do that? I'm having a great time! And I'm 69 now!
I've always loved E.L.O., & have always thought Jeff Lynne had such a cool voice!
Not a screamer, nor does he need to...
Thanks for the memories & sweet contributions to my childhood! 🎸❤️🎻
I agree, John! I was ten when this song came out. I loved it then & even more today!
We were so blessed with bands such as ELO❤ most of todays music sinks without trace.
If much of today's music can even be classified as music.
Some of today's music should be played at a hockey game.
who is listening to this in feb 2019,still as good as ever.
Fantastic!

Man that violin solo kills me every time
Rosie Langley. WHOA BAYBEE! This concert just would not have been the same without her. She is a stunning beauty and magnificent talent on the electric violin.
Maybe you should stop being a creepy fucker and leave her be.......
Her sister is not too shabby either....
But her brother got sacked from Coronation Street ( Bruno Langley) Todd Grimshaw.
Nooo manzana
This song by Jeff is incredible all the different instruments blending together to make this Beautiful song ! And speaking of Beautiful that girl playing the Violin ❤
I would pay premium ticket price to sit in the front row looking at Rosie..the music is a bonus!
Great looking violin..I couldn't keep my eyes off it.
Yeah, violin just marvellous!!!
What dress? I was looking at the gorgeous violin!!
Got two girls myself!!!
Must be a Stradivarius!!
wait, there was a violin? LOL
Whoever would thumbs down this your beyond help but seek counseling for your issues
they are tone deaf and morons
The most under rated band in history
Jeff Lynne has got to be the "coolest" human on the planet, he just keeps going. I first saw ELO in 1974 in Omaha Nebraska and if they would come back to the U.S. I would go see them again today.
Michael Pollock pp
Michael Pollock ... They are. In August and I have my tickets. 😀😀😀
I thought ELO is from US.☺
the main man
You’d have to get inline behind me. Lol
Rosie Langley, besides being a talented violinist, has one of the most beautiful smiles in the world!
Beauty inside and out
Twenty years from now, I would be forced to leave a huge thumbs up comment, they’re just that good 👍.
Rosie is magical.
Jeff Lynne is a musical genius.
Fabulous ELO performance!!
Rosie Langley is just the most perfect woman on the planet! I have contributed about 100,000 views at least just for her.
Forget clods like the Kardashians, Miley Cyrus, and other non talented bims. THIS is what a true beautiful woman is.
Nothing sexier than a beautiful lady with talent.
Agreed...
And Agnetha Faltskog!
1000% agree!!! And this is coming from an ‘86 baby lol
I wonder if Rosie know's or has any clue of just how beautiful she really is? Her gestures, her looks and her movements are very natural and not pre-set or thought out beforehand. I do not think I am the only one who can see these things.
😛
Just cant stop listening. Best live sound ever.
I totally agree with you. It is well known that Jeff is a perfectionist. But that his perfectionism leads to the fact that you can't hear any difference between a CD or the live version, is unprecedented. I am now 66 years old, but I can't get enough of it!
@@J.Brachthuizer WIth you! You have me by a bit, I am 57, but damn remember growing up on ELO....what great memories and great music!
Remember my Mum and Dad buying me Out of the Blue in the 70s and I have been hooked ever since. Should be Sir Jeff Lynn.
OMG ,,THANK GOD FOR ROSIE,THAT'S WHAT WE FIGHT FOR
I like Jeff's reaction when at :10. He looks at Rosie like "crap, she can play!" LOL. Turns to drummer to confirm and he gives the nod yes.
Or maybe he was just looking to see if everyone was ready and the drummer was nodding that he was. You read a lot into it that just isn't there, probably because you would eat the corn out of Rosie's shit just to see where it came from.
@@WichitaGuy56 wow, you took literally every word out of my mouth. He obviously asked her to come play Glastonbury, he knows she can play. Also, I would also eat that corn...
@@WichitaGuy56 Holy vegetables Batman , that's way more information than I need. Yikes!
There's a handful of 70's bands which I need to listen to everyday, one of them is ELO, even from its creation back with The Move.
Jeff Lynne has many talents, always thought he had some real class. Cool to see the old timers still playing, right behind them.
ELO is a natural antidepressant.
Those were great times. My son is 21yo and he listens to same music that use to listen to when i was his age. He always tells me how good our music was. This may sound corny but i tell him, He listens to the music but we lived it.
Its a crying shame Jeff Lynne hasn't received a knighthood..he is mega talented..from e.l.o to travelling wilburys and concert for George..music to listen to over and over....thankyou Jeff
Jeff Lynn is ELO ... songwriter producer ... intelligent and genuine ... all round good guy ... bonafide genius ! thanks.
The shot with the seagull was perfectly timed.
The sound from Rosie's violin brought tears to my eyes. She is not only beautiful, she is soooo talented. She must have had classical music training as part of her education.
She makes it look easy to play that good. That is the pinnacle of true talent. Effortless incredible ability made to look easy to do.
Talent and a hell of a lot of practice
@@cooldudicus7668 Of course, she work with Jeff Lynne....but man what a woman.
A violin sounds great by any good player
She is goddess beautiful.
Best live band in the world!!! Jeff Lynne's ELO please Tour in 2022.
I remember skating to this song in the 70's and getting my first kiss at the skating rink! Lol I love those memories😊
Still brilliant ,,and brilliant,,,and did I mention,, I think it's brilliant. For those that might not know, Rosie Langley (violin) ( Edie Langley Cello)is one of three sisters , all musical ,Gita Langley, Rosie Langley, and Edie Langley, they come from a musical Family.
Actually, that's Amy Langley on cello.
Rosie Langley ....a flawless performance.
A Hungarian rhapsody meets rock an roll.
A beautiful woman playing a beautiful instrument the string section makes the classic ELO sound I absolutely love it
And better legs ..than kaminski...
😊
Rosie….absolutely one of the best additions Jeff ever made 👍😎
I love Jeff's accent and especially the way he says "thank you very much, lovely"
and Jeff's still got IT. Not just a show but an event is what he offers. You're Still Rocking Jeff!
JOHNNY CARSON: "You know what the hottest concert touring the country is this summer? Jeff Lynne's ELO. That's right. Jeff Lynne is taking his band on the road, and doing all the old ELO songs. And it's supposed to be the most elaborate presentation you'll see this year. In fact, insiders are saying that what Jeff is offering is not just a show, but an event. [pause] The bad news is that ticket prices for events are ten times what they are for shows."
I remember seeing Jeff and ELO do this same song 40 years ago mid 1970's in Louisville Kentucky , the violinist then was a guy with long black hair, he had a bright blue violin.
Was an unforgettable concert and stage. Jeff Lynne is something special
That guy with the blue violin is Mik Kaminsky
Mick Kaminski also (if my old memory serves me well,) had a record of his own released in the 70`s. I believe it was called Violinski and it was played on that blue electric violin.
Rosie just takes my breath away time I see her perform. Such an incredible violinist, and so beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I fully agree!
2:33 Great to see Jeff's family in the audience...LOL
lmao
I like The Jeffs in the crowd at 2:33. Too funny.
4 of them? - Bit of madness in the celebrations

Majestic strings and Jeff Lynne who really now should be awarded a knighthood for his contribution to Brit and world music. His collaboration with his ELO collective is still so relevant today.

rosie langley-breathtaking beautiful
I first heard this song when I was 17 driving my girlfriend home one night.
That was 50 years ago, I consider this to be my favorite song of all time. I love it today as much as I loved it then. Thanks Marty and RIP.
Ah, Jeff Lynne. What can I say? He is the Nikola Tesla of music! Absolute genius!
Jeff Lynn he's my guy. The beautiful redhead on the violin - just wow she is so talented. and beautiful
Jeff's voice is timeless. What a unique and unbelievably good sounding set of pipes on him.
Will never get tired of Jeff
great performance by the amazing Jeff Lynne.
beautiful girl aswell ;)
Ronald . I.
From my first ELO album, purchased in 1976. As a violinist and fan of both classical music and the Beatles, how could I not fall in love with this!
Just talking yesterday, how I love when rock bands add some orchestration to their tunes !
This is by far the best band to do it. Not just here and there, but the root of it all. Jeff, is a genius ! Add the Traveling Wilberrys to his resume and you can't deny he is legendary.
I can't believe right at the end Jeff says "Thank you very much, lovely " no. Thank you for this performance, is amazing.
ELO IS AS GOOD AS THEY DID BACK IN THE DAY!! THIS SONG IS TOTALLY PERFECT
AND THEY HAVENT MISSED A BEAT ( EXCUSE THE PUNN FOLKS) HAHAHAHHA SORRY
It is just amazing how this live version sounds almost exactly like the studio version back in 1976!
Seeing the entire band play, it's a living thing! ❤
Now i understand why this song is so angelic and beautiful as i never knew who and i found out today that it is a living thing = WOMAN !!!
I was a french pupil visiting England and trying To learn English in 1975... in 2019 i still remember the words of this awesome song... Magic!
Jeff Lynne's one if the most under rated artists. This is awesome music
Ya know what.....he just looks like he's having fun.Living the dream.
Rosie Langley is amazing, multi=talented and can turn a guy on just using her eyes
Jeff always understood the power of the visuals that made more people 'see' and hear his amazing music.
But i'm not a fan of having the front row of the audience some 90 feet from the stage 1:54.
Seems like a bad joke , back in the 70's we were about 10 feet from the stage if that
Thank you father for showing me this fantastic band/Acoustra xx
Such a beautiful song! I loved Jeff and ELO from the first time I heard them. His songs, arrangements, mixes, etc. speak to me. I only wish I could personally thank Jeff and ELO for the years of excellent music that stirs the emotions and evokes beautiful visions.
Elo and Jeff's music will never get old i was living in Daytona beach fl first time i herd them Seabreeze sr High on the beach awesome times i had there 1984
