The reason it is too loud is the output is scaled to drive speakers directly. You are most likely driving the preamp level inputs of your factory Bose amplifier. The answer is to put a 1/2 watt 1000-ohm resistor in series with each of the four positive line outs between the head unit and the amp.

It takes ages to read from USB or SD card when I first switch it on. The radio is absolutely diabolical and won’t receive a station unless it’s very close. I updated the firmware about 2yrs ago but still no joy. Are these newer models a lot better?

I blame it on what I believe to be insufficient RAM in the unit. Most recently just 3 months out of it's 3 year warranty the Bluetooth has stopped working. I checked with VOXX Intl. and they want $285 to fix the damn thing. The repair would have a 3 month warranty but the unit already cost $1K to begin with. An almost $300 repair bill seems a bit steep IMO.

Shino FourSeven FiveSeven You can fix the loud volume in your settings. By default, it’s setup to be used without your Bose speakers but because you have an amp, you have to adjust a setting. I had to do it with my Bose system. It mentions it in the description for my Eonon. Mine has 4.4.4 but I’m guessing it’s the same for yours. I’m copying and pasting directly from Eonon’s site. “Please enter Factory Setting of the unit (Password 1688) - set Amp Ratio as 25%, and turn off the Key Tone.” Your password might be different from mine though. You can email Eonon for yours.

my 2006 impala ss was not on the list either my brother has a 2007 Yukon and it said it only works with 2008. The Yukon Tahoe and Suburbans are the pretty much the same trucks they will work. This company is not even from America so i don't think they know what years started far as trucks and cars.

That shield controller isn't Bluetooth. You might be able use a Andriod Bluetooth controller. That shield controller is some other shit but I have 3 of them. You can't hook those up to normal Android
