I work in the military public affairs/information space and biblical, Godly, based reporting like this is the right, complete way to report on and discuss news topics.

My kids are very interested in learning about what and why these things are happening, but they’re also scared of what could happen in America. It’s such a hard balance trying to prepare them for what could very possibly happen in their lifetime while not terrifying them. Any advice on how to do that would be appreciated… they’re 11, 9 and 5 (autistic and ADHD and highly sensitive).

The fact that they have been halted, delayed, held in abeyance, halted temporarily....whichever euphemism you like...is tantamount to the proof anyone needs. If the Saudis had any great intent or resolve to proceed despite the events of 08 October, they haven't managed to show it.

It is very unfortunate. But, this is war. And a Holy war at that. The Bible is clear that before it is over that half of the world will be dead. And... That there will be few survivors. That there will be 10 women to every man. It's hard to wrap our minds around. Especially in the West. But, we have to focus on Jesus. Focus on what the Word tells us. God certainly has a "controversy" with Israel over covenant fidelity. That's something we've explored in depth previously, both in the Covenant and Controversy film series, as well as in written articles. However, now is not the time to call Israel to account for covenant chastisement, less than a month after the worst slaughter of the Jewish people in almost 80 years. We grieve with our friends and neighbors who are grieving and stand with the Jewish people for now. There will be a time to discuss covenant fidelity, in a humble and loving way, in the future.
I am led to believe that more Jewish lives have been lost to abortion than Hitler took. God sees that! He says the blood spilled on the land has to be paid for.

The "contemptible man" is introduced in Dan 11:21, so we would consider verses 1-20 (including the various wars and marital alliances) to only be historical.
Jesus also believed in justice; that's why He didn't free the repentant thief from the cross. Israel has "turned the other cheek" for 70 years.
