Taking the GMC in for service was a cattle call with a crap loaner and no understanding of the customer time and experience. Cadillac was as if I was buying another one. I will not own a GMC by choice based on the dealership experience. Before anyone attacks, this was over 3 different dealerships for each brand due to relocations.

Couldn't agree more. My '18 ESV has only needed oil changes. Dealer picks up my car, leaves me a newer Cadillac as a loner. Not only is my basic maintenance free, but they'll replace wipers and not charge me. My car comes back detailed. Because of this I bought my wife an XT5. I think I've set foot in the dealership twice. They remember my name with a damn mask on!
In Britain we think a Range Rover or an X5 is big. Then you see them next to an Escalade or Denali and they're tiny! Personally, the Escalade interior sells it for me.

Yukon Denali has the better exterior and definitely has a better road presence over the Escalade. Interior in the Cadillac is nice but I think they are counting on people who like gimmicks to buy it because once that screen breaks it’s expensive but that’s why people lease those.

Found a better deal on a gently used Escalade than I could another Denali. CPO 6yr 100K mile warranty. Cadillac service is so much better than GMC. I will say this though. I will not own the Caddy out of warranty.
It depends why you want it. If you want it for luxury then the Cadillac. If you want it for a family and more practicality then GMC. I have 2 messy kids so I went for Yukon but once I’m an empty nester I’d probably go for Cadillac-but a smaller suv. Won’t need full size by then.
I think the Denali gives a better first impression because when you see Escalade you automatically think big luxury big spender . Plus that Denali just looks better with a little Mud and dirt on it and still has the same features of the Cadillac

They both are equipped with the same gas engine. Why Escalade uses premium.? Just because you are rich, doesn’t necessarily mean you would have to use premium gas.
Amazing how expensive the big GM SUVs have become. They are by far best of breed, but unreachable prices. These are what people buy nowadays for status instead of Mercedes and BMWs.

Both vehicles offer excellent choices and you can't go wrong with either. IMO, I think the Escalade is the best on the exterior and interior and may give the Denali a serious run for its money and make the Denali buyer think twice, maybe three times before getting the Denali. If anyone ever notice, sales of the Escalade started in early October and currently, the dealers are struggling to keep Escalades on the lots due to high demand two months later while the Yukon is slightly getting discount but not by much.
If you have the money go with the escalade if not go with the denali its still a very nice truck and super bad ass l, if you dont wanna waste extra money go with the Denali, but personally for me i have to go with the Escalade idk its just calling my name, but it wouldn't hurt to give Denali a test drive see how i feel in it
Yukon Denali is for the long haul. Escalade is for the now, no more then ten years. All that tech will be a huge pain in the rear when it decides to crap out on you. So there, thats should help with your decision making.

Great point. I have seen a lot of older Yukon’s on the road which makes me feel better about their dependability. I’ve owned a Buick for 7.5 years and have loved it and no major issues and that’s why I want to stick with GM.

I’ll take the Denali, I love this new redesign and couldn’t pass it up. Although that big touch screen on the Escalade is cool and all, I don’t need it. The augmented reality is a bit of a waste too, tbh. The only thing the Denali is missing, are the massage chairs and some ambient lighting (also not needed but would be a nice feature- along with cooled captains chairs in the 2nd row).
I do. 3 kids and a dog. We live in NJ and travel to Main, Canada, Florida. Sometimes with my parents, so 7 people total. We also use Thule roof mounted cargo capsule. Regularity tow as well. Have Yukon Denali XL and switching to Escalade ESV in the summer.

Some people have large families or need towing. I think 95% of buyers of these SUVs would be fine with a minivan but have the money to get something a bit cooler.

In my area I actually see more Denali than non-Denali Yukons. Generally owned by very wealthy families who could afford a GLS/X7.

Just got my Escalade Platinum and I love it! Upgraded from a Z71 Suburban. Definitely more luxurious!
