    The Escalade V is a very cool car and a great alternative to a GLS, X7, or a Range Rover. But the G wagon sits in a class of its own in terms of desirability. There's a reason why even 20 year old examples are worth crazy money.

      The only reason older G wagon's cost so much is because they 99% of the population can't tell the difference between a new and old one. Thus you could technically 'ball on a budget'.

      I do agree somewhat, but I think the Caddy does a whole lot more for the money. Why be just fast, when you can do it in the epitome of luxury

    • @georgimihalkov4781
      @georgimihalkov4781 Год назад +1

      @@jameskester7745 The Caddy definitely does more for the money, but the G wagon buyers aren't really interested in bang for the buck value, they want the status symbol. And if the epitomy of luxury is the goal, then the Range Rover and the GLS are the better options compared to the Escalade.

    This G-class might look like the first gen G-class that dates back all the way to 1979 but this second gen is fully new from the ground up. It's not old-school at all. The only three parts from the previous generation which were carried over to the new generation are the headlamp washers, the push-button door handles and the spare wheel cover bolted to the rear tailgate.

The GM V8 engines are the best, most produced, most swapped in engines for all makes and models, and overall best Automotive gasoline engine developed in automotive history. ( you literally cannot find and car that someone has not swapped a GM V8 engine into from Lamborghini to Yugo, search for yourself) en. To be honest, Jeep Wranglers hold their value better than any SUV. The GM (Chevy) V8 is the highest production and most used Automotive engine EVER.....yes..EVER.

    That exhaust burbling in the Cadillac is similar to the one in my Camaro 2SS 1LE. I can make it do that every time I lift off the throttle in Sport or Track mode (actually, I have it set to do that in every mode!), and it's a riot. However, I think the sound duration seems to last even longer in the Caddy, which is saying something, as it can go on for quite a while in the Camaro.

    I have read many reviews on the Cadillac Escalade but the "Elephant " in the room is the reliability with the 6.2 engine and the dismal fuel mileage on premium. I would until the glitches are worked out in a few years like the Blackwing and then the vehicle is one of the baddest M5/S6 killers out there. This has potential in a few years and they should consider aluminum like Ford as it might be give this better gas mileage.

    Re: the diss for recirculating ball steering. When Lincoln was manufactured by Ford's separate luxury car division, the Town Car had recirculating ball steering. When that division was eliminated and it was moved into the main Ford manufacturing flow in 2003, it got rack and pinion, which is cheaper and more compact. Why did Benz change the G to rack and pinion? I know space is at a premium in its front end. They used to mount the engine on a slant in the G class because it couldn't fit in flat.

Look out the kitchen window into the driveway and feel like something special is parked there. And the G-Class gives that a lot more. If I had 4 kids to haul about, then the story would be different... I'd buy a VW Multivan or something of that sort for the family and an entry level Cayman, a Nissan Z, or a Muscle car for me. For the same price on aggregate probably 😀

    The Escalade exhaust can be exciting, but always hearing that noise, at a certain point might be annoying. I don't really know whether or not, but it seems like that. When you say Mercedes, in this case, you don't talk about a normal Mercedes. That is an AMG! It has nothing to do with a common simple Mercedes, it's tuned, it has special components, and of course you know that, better than me, but someone might be confused and think, oh the Mercedes are so fast! No way, the AMG are! Alpina or M are, not BMW. And of course, the prices are much higher than a normal Mercedes or BMW. However my choice would be a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, if I would have enough money, of course 😄🥰Thanks for the video.

    There’s burble tunes and sports exhausts and DSG trombone tunes and then there’s the exhaust and firecracker tune on the Escalade V😂. But as Todd said at the end they rediculus, as is every “SPORTS SUV”

    Correction: the Escalade is a Tahoe, the Escalade ESV is a Suburban

    Cadillac Vs Mercedez? Good review and comparison, but there is no hope for cadillac in every way other than being cheaper. Period.

    Someone has a Cadillac V on Emerald Isle, NC I believe. Emerald Isle NC has many interesting cars. There's a restomod Land Rover Defender.

    These days the Cadillac Escalade is hard to beat. People compare it with other luxury SUVS but the Cadillac Escalade really has no Competition. Move over Rolls Royce, G-Wagon, and Bentley. There’s a Cadillac coming through. America is the greatest 🫡🇺🇸💪🤑

    Ain’t nobody driving that Escalade in the snow. They’re gonna sell a billion of those in southern California, Texas, the South, and places where it never snows. And that’s okay. It’s a baller car. That’s what it’s for. Look at me! I have money and I’m gonna show it off. Both visually and audibly.

      We're been quite surprised to see (and hear!) a full size ESV Escalade V this winter in Park City. Thanks for watching!
