WOW this video is a decade old!
I still don't understand why this youtuber didn't hit 1 mil, he's got good content.
He was quite popular on RUclips for the time. Not sure why he struggled to grow his channel much after this. I've just been watching his old videos recently because I loved watching them back when they came out.
@@Captain-Sum.Ting-Wong I know it's a year old, but I think it's about adapting to the algorithm. I think culturally, since streaming and all the online stuff, it killed the physical media for interest.
Taking gaming for an example, if you would of started 6 years ago for you gaming channel you would be in the 100,000 plus subs now most likely. If you started 10-15 years ago, you would of been big for the time, but highly forgotten now. It's quite sad, on how it works.
@@RubyMVmistress Excellent surmise, Ruby. And I agree that coolduder should have a mil subs. I liked him as an actor and several years ago, checked if he had a channel, boom! Happy result.
@@HungryForTastyFoodAndComicArt Yet look at how many subs Coolduder has now days! I say, he’s done well, except I do miss the Don & Murph sketches myself
@@tomthemantv6482 agreed, I have nothing but praise for the man, both as an actor & as a youtuber. 🍻
You literally morphed into a skinny person. I remember these old days of don and Murphy. Crazy weight loss
Great job.
Great insight on these, wow I remember the 80's man...there was so much stuff jam packed into the 80s that you literally have to divide it into pre-85 and post-85...and that goes beyond just movies. The real Golden Era of everything where everyone hung out and created memories instead of texting.
Thanks man you introduced me to a lot of horror movies I never would've heard of if it were not for you, so thank you!
Why am I surprised that you know "Night of the Comet"? That movie is classic! Good job with the review..best horror movies came out of the 80's.
Just watched night of the comet yesterday. Must say I was not impressed. Fun to watch with friends but as a film in general it’s pretty shitty
80's horror is the best. Return of the Living Dead was awesome.
ROTLD is awesome comedy gore punk rockers excellent soundtrack & Linnea Quigley dancing in the graveyard
Thank God I was born in the 80s you like dawn of the dead from the 1970s
NO WAY IS THIS YOU! Oh wow! Well done! Look so much better now, way to go. And way to go sticking with a passion so many years through DVD's and movies. What an awesome guy
Rewatching some old Coolduder videos for 80's horror recommendations! Can't believe this was 13 years ago!
EVERYDAY BAPE!!!!!
@@BasedNozz Coolduder everyday!
I attribute my entire dismal career in reviewing horror movies to this one video. Thank you Shawn, you made me and continue to make me feel like my voice matters in the monolith enigma that is the horror community even here in 2019. Doolb666 shall return, Hailz to the King Chauncy! (my bad for grammar and spelling) p.s. slime city is fucking classic.
70s and 80s were by far the greatest era in horror. However there still is some great horror being made today as well .
i love watching your old videos haha... you've come a loooong way!
I've started checking out your videos and I really like a lot of them. Keep up the enthusiasm and good work. Thanks for doing them!
Your room makes me want to put up more posters. :P
I love 80s horror great collection
Cheers for this pal, reminded me of some films i saw in the 80's that i now want to see again.
Keep posting pal.
I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for posting your videos. I've always been a big fan of horror films, and your videos provide excellent ideas and suggestions for films I've never seen before. You certainly have great taste! Thanks again!
I really like Halloween 3! Although it has nothing to do with Michael Myers , it does have a cool concept ( albeit the " cheesiness " ) still a cool movie to me!
ok....let me stop this vid for a second. NIGHT OF THE COMET!! I HAVE ALWAYS loved that movie and NO one mentions it ever!!!!!!!!! Also, the blonde girl in that was ALSO in CHOPPING MALL!
Cool vid coolduder! I am a big 80's horror movie fan and you have given me some valuable info on 80's horror movies that I have missed and need to watch! Thanks dude.
Not too sure how I stumbled upon your channel - but i'm glad I did. Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make these videos and for sharing them with all of us!
Night of The Creeps, underrated 80s Horror movie.
Damn , I hadn't noticed this video is 13 years old
👆👆Thanks for the feedback. Expect more videos soon, message the above address I got some special gift for you as my lucky subscriber…
Thanks for this review!!! I love 80's Horror/Sci Fi. Some of these I have not seen and I'm real excited now and have something to look forward to!
I really like your videos. Great recommendations, good commentary with tidbits of trivia and a steady pace. Keep 'em coming! :)
The 80's is still my favorite decade for horror, although this new decade is catching up.
The Creepshow DVD is great. You should really get it. It has a great retrospective documentary, and the audio-commentary by George Romero and Tom Savini is a great listen.
Favorite 80's horror movie: the Thing.
The best horror decade
Why there is no Evil Dead (1981) ? :( Great movie!
I watch your new videos every week. You haven’t changed one bit. 😋
Hey, Shawn. I wanted to say thanks for this video. I learned a lot from it. Hope you keep making these.
Disappointed not to see the likes of The Thing, Christine, Cujo, An American Werewolf In London or The Shining but great video, very interesting!
Every movie can't be his favorite
The Thing! That is a classic right there.
He tends not to talk about the real 'classic' ones but more the kind of trashy, cult stuff.
Yes but they're more "mainstream"
They're the obvious choices. It's more interesting to hear about the lower budget movies, especially the ones you have also seen or heard of.
"The Gate" is another interesting one.
"Cat's Eye" is cool too.
"Nightmare" has Emilio Estevez.
This guy deserves to have at least 1 million subs because his videos are just awesome
i love watchin yer videos! they give me a lotta good ideas of movies to watch that i havnt seen yet! :)
so thanks fer makin them.
what happen to Christine 1983
Ahhh The Memories!😉
I love listening to this while I do my school work. It calms me.
i really enjoy your commentary on these 80s movies in particular because i'm a huge 80's movie buff as well....
You should make another one of these videos.

+MTM ENT. its awesome lol
I can't wait to get a job in order to make my own 1980-1990 horror collection I fucking love the 80's and yet I was born in 95' haha
I was born in 94 and still love movies older than me haha
You were born in 95' and you don't have a job yet? *facepalm*
Sean Brown do you realize your watching coolduder a 31 year old virgin who hasnt had a job since working at a movie theatre years ago and still lives with his parents
LoveThemBroncos "This guy I watch on RUclips lives with his parents, therefore that gives me every excuse to never have a job and do the same." Your logic is flawed.
LoveThemBroncos leave Shawn alone, he's awesome
Thanks!! Very informative... I've seen all your collection vids now :D
I'm a really big movie fan I've been watching movies for years but I just recently started collecting dvds I have 300 so far your videos have really good recommendations I have enjoyed all the movies you talk about
The first Friday the 13th is the best? Really? "kill her mommy, kill her" "oh I will honey, uagh" Yeah...... the first one's not the best, Parts 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 are much better.
The new Friday the thirteenth is shit same with any other 21rst century horror movies
you had me until you said 8, 8 is my least favorite and arguably the worst slasher of all-time
You give really good reviews about movies and i am now going to see some of the movies that you have shown
Thanks
Watching your videos brings me back! Cant wait to catch up with all your new videos. I forgot your name and youtube page but i did remember you were in BANSHEE!!! so I found you on imdb lol.

Thanks so much for mentioning Invaders from Mars! I've been trying to find it ever since I saw it when I was a kid (maybe on Joe Bob Briggs MonsterVision) but couldn't remember the name of it, and none of my friends recognized it when I tried to explain the plot.

I love 80's horror. One of my all time faves is coming to DVD this Oct. Night of the Creeps. It's about time..long overdue. Plus, Return of the Living Dead is a must have.
i am glad you have made these posts i have followed your stuff grate liked that film you were in were the guy and you were in front of a house that apparently was haunted
i used to watch you back in these times as well with another account, how time flies
Dude, you've built a nice small business via the net! I'm happy for you that you work doing your passion!
What I love about Nightmare on Elm street 2 is how Freddy wreaks alot of Havoc in reality instead of mostly in a nightmare.I could definately see how someone could like it.
Great Collection!
The Return Of The Living Dead Is My Fav!! I am so bad that I can watch it like 5 times in a row lol
damn didn't know you were collecting since 15 years! haha good job! impressive work

Dude I love Nightmare part 2 as well! So underrated! It's one of Freddy's darkest films.
horror is my fave....thank you for posting!!
I always loved "Halloween III," and Dan O'Herlihy as Cochran was fantastic in it -- the music is very good, as you say, and Dean Cundey's cinematography is excellent. Good choices, here. "Motel Hell" is another great rare cult classic.
you do a gr8 job !! and night of the comet is fantastic ...
