I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago and love your content. I’m headed to China in a few weeks so I was researching YT clips and you popped up. My father and I watch an episode every night. I was wondering if you could do an episode on best payment apps to download (WeChat, Alipay?), maps (I hear Google maps don’t work in China?), and hotels (I hear some hotels don’t accept foreigners). That would be extremely helpful, especially for those who can’t read Chinese. Would GREATLY appreciate it! Keep up the good work. Watching your episodes is what I look forward to in the evenings! And your relationship with your parents is admirable. 💝
I would recommend you download alipay, and link your credit card. For maps, Google maps can download offline maps. Whilst you're in China, you can use Amap (that's the best), but not in English. You can search using Roman numerals though. And for an English alternative, Bing Maps should be a good choice.
Try bing maps if you need English. And you should download some offline maps on Google Maps before you come. 高德导航 (Amap) is the best, but it's entirely in Chinese. You can input pinyin, but obviously there's an issue if you don't know exactly what location you're selecting. For payment apps, I suggest Alipay and link your foreign credit card before you come. Hope that helps.

They saw, watched, looked China by their own eyes a different world. I am from Nepal but now in Sydney, Australia sponsored by my younger daughter, likewise my elder daughter sponsored us Hongkong a decade ago and our son sponsored us ( with my wife) last year to visit the UK with thanks and blessed them. All of the food looked so good! I love the shots of the city during the nighttime stroll, especially the upward ones of the skyscrapers~ I think I have Bob's eating humor figured out. From the fancy restaurant at which he had to cut a red sticker over a fish dish, he said it tasted fishy much like saying the eggs in this video taste like eggs. At one of two Hong Kong restaurants, he started cooing after eating pigeon and at the other, wondered if he would start wailing like a ghost before eating the fried ghost shrimp dish much like how in this video, he wondered if he would be walking out the restaurant sideways after eating crab. What I wasn't expecting was Heather's humoring enthusiasm when pretend-agreeing to do a skywalk lol~
Mom & dad looked so sweet & cute walking together (dad's arm around mom). Dinner looked yum! Glad mom & dad enjoyed it & the sights of SH! Funny, when all of you walked out after dinner, I felt cheated, no dessert! Thought maybe you were going to get something sweet elsewhere. That sweet rice looked interesting! The pearl tower looks nice blue, but I thought blue with purple looked good too!
