    Although this seems expensive, if yall think about it, a top level hunting compound costs about the same, and the crossbow is a lot easier to shoot and operate.

    I want this crossbow so bad, but it cost so much. I shot 6 deer last year with my friends R20 and this one is so much better. I cant justify buying this to my wife and family of 6.

      Well you know if you shoot a deer at 450 ft per second or if you shoot a deer at 430 ft per second or if you shoot a deer at 400 ft per second the deer is dead and it doesn't know how fast the crossbow was shooting so on my opinion you have made the right choice this crossbow cost way too much for what it does I mean I understand everybody wants a fast crossbow but if you can shoot one shooting 4:30 or even 400 ft a second what difference does it make the deer won't know the difference

    Ravin crossbows are almost 100% ambidextrous. I notice a southpaw shooting this in the video. That's huge. Barnette are mostly ambidextrous too now. Better than tenpoint, their cooking mechanism would leave dents in the cheek of a lefty. Im blessed, I can shoot left or right. Which means I can adapt to my hunting environment for the best shot. Great video.

      Its loud... I just got one, and it is twice as loud as any of my previous crossbows. However, it is so damn fast, I don't think a deer could react to it inside of 60 yards. It's missile launcher!!

    • @TheFieldArcher
      @TheFieldArcher  2 года назад +1

      You missed the decibel meter reading? The meter tells you how loud, if there was no music, it would be as loud as your speaker volume really telling you nothing. I have plenty of crossbow reviews with the decibel readings giving you real numbers on noise level.

    I know that these top level manufacturers have tested prototypes that are ready to manufacture that will produce over 200 pounds of kinetic energy and launch bolts at 600 fps. They keep dripping out small increases in power as a reason to upgrade. Two years ago they had powerhouse models like that ready to market.

    • @DIRTISTERRIBLE
      @DIRTISTERRIBLE 4 года назад +1

      Unless it travels faster than speed of sound, I don't see the point of all that excess speed. Deer start ducking immediately once trigger is pulled

    • @FinehomesofNewHampshire
      @FinehomesofNewHampshire 4 года назад +7

      @@DIRTISTERRIBLE True. My only ethical bow shot for me is full side view with head turned away.
      The 3k is ridiculous. It instantly pigeon holes the product to the 1%.
      If they went to $1000 they would capture a much larger market. The product would sell itself thru social media alone.....saving huge cash from unneeded advertising. If the product is that amazing folks will find it in this day and age. Its a senseless price for an already niche market.

    I know 0 about crossbows so this is probably a stupid question, but if its a 12 lb draw weight, couldnt you just pull it back with a couple fingers instead of using the cocking handle?

      make sure the nock snaps onto the string. You can hear it and feel it snap. This disengages the anti-dryfire device and is a common problem for what you are indicating.
