A bit off topic but please build a pc with: asus x570 proart, ryzen 9 5900x, rtx 3060 ti. I'm going to build one based on your videos. I'm so glad i find your channel, extremely helpful!
would love to see how the 5700g would perform on a ITX in order to display four screens running at 4k@60hz :) i'm building a trading station and i want to put all the bucks in the CPU/RAM/SSD performance. or maybe i should go for a Ryzen 9 5900 + a small PNY Nvidia T400 ? any thoughts would be very helpfull :) thank you mate, you've made a VERY helpfull chanel for non gamers people out there who want serious informations
Personally, i'm waiting for a Lenovo M75 Q Gen3 with 5750G, or HP 805G6 gen2, as that has an optional GTX 1660, both the same size as a Mac Mini(external power brick)
I picked 5600g. I don't do games and heavy video editing but I want more cores and performance for virtual machines, multi tasking etc. and most importantly I didn't want to spend on external GPU
Hi, im planning to buy the 5700g to do 4K short format (under 10min) videos using Pr and Ae. I already have the rest of the Rig 3200mhz 32gb ram with all NVME and SSD drives etc. Will this work ?
Let's say I have two option; first one is I build a system with 5700g and without a GPU. After some time I added a GPU (let's say RTX 2060). In the second option, I'll wait and buy RTX 2060 with a 8 core CPU (maybe Ryzen 7 5800x). Which option would be ideal in terms of performance in the long term? P.S: what i mean by performance is the performans of these CPUs in video editing.
First option good After you buy gpu, sell 5700g then get 5800x Apu cpu still selling well even an older system Also dont forget you get benefit from using your system than wait 5800x
Love your presentations and getting caught up. What “budget” priced gpu would you recommend to add on to this with an asrock a520m/ac motherboard and 32gb of 3200mhz ram? Thanks.
You made this Video for ME! :D As i photographer i say to you: Thank you so much for sharing these infos! :-) I recently subscribed because i saw you're doing content creator focused hardware reviews - excellent! My i7-6700 is really starting to struggle with lightroom classic (i have a RTX 2060 super from when before the prices gone crazy) i was thinking about an upgrade to the 5900X at the end of the year but the 5700Gs performance seems good enough so i'll rather invest into a nicer motherboard! Do you know a MB that has 2 x M2 slots and SATA slot that won't slow down when both M2 Slots and the Graphics cards in PCI-E? I have a nice Fractal Define 7 with plenty space for drives but the PCI card for extra SATA connectors isnt as fast as i'd like.
Hi, what are your thoughts about the Ryzen 9 3950X 16c/32t processor? How good is it for video editing in Davinci Resolve, Premiere etc.? What Min. GPU should go with it for good performance and does is get hot like the Ryzen 7 5800X? Thanks.
I own the 5700g it is used as a gaming PC and for those going for this cpu keep in mind the faster the ram the Better Ryzen CPUs like high frequency ram and I advise for an aio like Corsair hydro h45 good temps and good ram equals great performance this cpu is straight down great
Very interesting test. I waited a long time to buy a Mac Mini M1 because I am a long-time Windows user and I hate not being able to customise something. How does the CPU perform in Davinci Resolve rendering?
Yeh great video 😀 point to point explained...I have this APU cpu 5700g..this is good for photo editor and music production..can I get better performance with another 8gb GPU for video editing?🙏
Hi, will 3Ds Max with V-Ray, Lumion Rendering work with this setup, have been waiting for the GPU prices to go down for around 6 months now Appreciate your efforts from India.
For photographers who use dual displays with Photoshop, what is the best motherboard to use with a Ryzen 5700g? Also, later on is it possible to add a graphics card to the above system or do the motherboards designed for the 5700g not include a slot for a graphics card? It seems like todays graphics cards have 12 gigs of memory! My current graphics card has only 1 gig and I do just fine. How much memory does Photoshop need on a graphics card? Thank you. Terry Thomas... the photographer Atlanta
As long as you get a board with a pcie×16 (often wired ×8 but that is fine) slot you are golden. I'd just get B550 tbh. I do not know of many boards that do not support at least 2 displays, and the ones that support but 1 are the low end A520 (probs A620 but didnt look into those) but then there are other issues you need to worry about (VRM for the 5700G, lanes allotment, etc). 5700G is often memory starved anyway so try and get at least 3200 mem, higher if the price is not too much extra. If you want to know how much gpu mem you need on Photoshop, you need to give a lot more details, but if your 1 gig is enough, I'd not be worried about it. Ctrl-Shift-Esc, Perf tab then GPU, should give mem usage there.
Could u look into the new apple mini 6 please? , it's said it could be used for video editing, but how good ? Could it be compared to something? I'm looking for a new tablet and if you say it's worth it for good fast video editing, I'll buy it!!!!
True, but not a big thing i'm thinking. Hopefully AMD start talking with Adobe to utilize the iGPU more than currently. That would be a big help. Something the likes of quicksync.
@@theTechNotice My wife is using a 3700X with a RX 580 as she don't game just school and work. So I may get her a 5700G so I can take her RX 580 for another PC.
Ryzen 5600G is the best bang for buck ... At $299 CAD The Ryzen 5700G AT $479 Very nice but not worth it over the 5600X or 5600G because they are so close in real world!
This is the chip I put in a Asrock B550 Steel legend and I am very happy. It is fast, runs flawlessly and runs WOW very well with no stutter. I would recommend this chip to any one. It leaves my X16 slot open for something else like an Asus x4 M.2 card. I first got 10300 on Cinebench but after 2 updates from AMD I now get over 16000 and 3600 Mhz memory.
Totally agree playing wow at 100+ fps n no stuttering, just turn off shadows n other settings that u really don’t need , my set up it’s on a inwin Chopin 200watts model perfect 👍
I'm posting a new question on an older video because I don't want to be off-topic in one of your new videos, but I have a general question about the R7 5700G. Have you by chance done some sort of testing to see what older video card(s) that can still be purchased for a cheap price might be matched with a R7 5800X to give the same if not better graphics performance as the R7 5700G with its integrated graphics? I have heard that a cheap NVidia card like the GTX 1010 or 1030 with the R7 5800X would give you better gaming performance than a R7 5700G. For editing a timeline in Premiere Pro, do the CUDA cores really make a bigger impact? That brings me to another question. I own a GTX 960 from an older build. It has 1,024 CUDA cores and 2GB of memory. I have a feeling that if I pulled that card out of that older machine and used it in a new build with the R7 5800X then I could likely edit videos or game better than with an R7 5700G. I'm going to get a new video card when the prices settle, but for a stopgap, I would like to know if the R7 5700G is more powerful than a R7 5800X with a GTX 960. I hope this is not too confusing, and I hope you are able to shed some light on this. It seems to me that a better way to future proof might be to get a R7 5800X and a really low-end video card or one someone already owns than to go with a R7 5700G and have limitations placed on you when you do get a better video card. If you happen to read this and have a chance to respond, I thank you.
I’ll just say even a 5600G outperforms a GT 1030 by 5% at least and even more on DX 12 environments. Do not buy any of those GT crap if you have an APU available. They won’t outperform the GTX 960, not even close. The upcoming RDNA 2 APUs will match the performance of the GTX 1650 though
I could buy that 5700G, but I have seen that in terms of gaming, it is not really that better than 5600G, thus 5600G was cheaper than 5700G so I chose 5600G. For me it is amazing CPU as it brings a lot for money that I've paid it (145 euros in Montenegro where I live, had a discount from 180 euros, while 5700G was 230 euros, also on the discount from maybe 270 280 euros not quite sure)
I want to make a pc for music production so I need as much CPU power as possible. How good is this CPU vs something like a 5800x? I don't want to buy a graphics card if I don't need one, not having a dedicated graphics card will help with noise, heat, and price.
I got the 5700g, I'm trying to send audio signal via hdmi from mobo to my avr. But I only an image signal, no audio. Do you know how to enable the audio there?
It depends on what you’re used to. This is my first build and I’m sure there are faster and more powerful setups, but I can’t imagine my experience getting any better. Fast start ups, downloads, video streaming, loading games. It’s all so much faster than the prebuilt system I was using for about a decade prior. No regrets on this purchase.
It could be a problem if you're using newer cards like the 30 or 40 series, but realistically if you need to have pcie 4.0, you should upgrade to something like the 5800x3d
