Love this song, love Iommi, love Sabbath, love your channel. Had this main riff as my #7 of 10 best Sabbath riffs. (A video that almost nobody watched 2 years ago haha)
Another fine job Kelly! I don't know how you find the time! Ive been playing for decades on and off but can't match your expertise. I appreciate watching these, i pick up a lot. I work fulltime but as a hobbyist i really enjoy cranking it up and just letting loose! 👍
Great work Kelly! I think Tony uses c# in standard tuning, i'm pretty sure he doesn't use drop tunings (often). All songs on Vol 4 are in c# standard tuning i guess
Tony drops all 6 strings down 1.5 steps for this song, what your doing works for this song but wouldn't say for a lot of the sabbath songs after the paranoid album. Laney amp, Sg and P90 pick ups. Cool to see it played this way, great lesson,.luv the content.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar yes sir power chords, after the paranoid album he went down to C#.. It amazes me how many riffs he wrote in the key of c#. You still nailed the song though, if playing this live, it would be a great way of playing it without having to detune all the strings provided you don't have a second guitar for it. Already down half a step and throw the Eb to Db. Always love your song selections.
Cool, that's exactly the same way I've been playing it for decades with the drop C sharp tuning. It's basically tuning your guitar down to E flat, then dropping your bottom E another step. I find this tuning works great for Master of Reality, Vol. 4, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. It really drives other guitar players nuts though because I'm also a lefty and it freaks them out. But I believe that if my middle and ring finger had the tips cut off, I would use this tuning to make a chord with only my index finger, that had not been injured too, wouldn't you?
As the saying goes...I like my Sabbath like I like my coffee...Right on Kelly Deeean...
Iommi is the GOAT. Great lesson and great playing.
Love it! This song has been burned into my subconscious. Etched in with the bowl of a metal pipe.
This song is a testament to the greatness of Iommi. Absolute perfection start to finish. Thanks for the lesson
Great song choice for sure, enjoying it here at the office. Top Shelf ♪♫♪♫♪
What a great choice KDA! Merry Xmas Brother.🤘🏻

That change has always had kind of a Monkees/Beatles vibe. Killer job man!
Almost forgot that one thanks Killer tune
Thanks Kelly- I've always wanted to noodle around on this one. Vol. 4 is one of my favorites..

"THIS MACHINE KILL'S" WHAT??
I COULD NOT READ THE VERY LAST WORD ON YOUR GUITAR..
EXTREMELY COOL VIDEO..
EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE AND ACCURATE..
Fascists. Like woody Guthries guitar
I have only just came across this track and man is this track ahead of its time. Gives such heavy stoner rock vibes along with that heavy metal vibe.
“Every day comes and goes”- but on some days you find a little YT gem like this. Thanks.

from 1992 but can see Iommi's fingers: ruclips.net/video/I_PzJqaaMFQ/видео.htmlsi=UZF3C94nrnGmMSyl&t=13
KDA - love your lessons and especially your song selection.
One of my favs. Astonishing track every part instrument and vocal. These guys are innovative

Oh, so he's playing power chords? I just assumed that it was drop C# and one finger power chords. Still works I suppose.

@@Jonesy1978I kept a Peavey Wolfgang hard tail in C# just for old sabbath. Sadly like a dumbass I sold it
God I love this channel
Thanks man! Appreciate that very much.
You and I do it almost the identical! Cool!
👍

tune guitar 100% to C sharp/D flat. It`ll help big time...
