Using a lipo battery and shorting it like this will cause it to vent! The resistance isn't high enough and there are no protection circuits for under voltage or over amp drain.
Not necessarily true. Also, that is clearly a li-ion cell not a li-po. To be sure, it would be wise to measure the resistance of the wire first and periodically measure your terminal voltage to ensure it's above 3.6V, but by the look of that wire and its length I'd estimate its resistance at >0.5 ohm, which is perfectly safe to drive directly from such a battery. That amounts to between 27 and 35 watts (7.4-8.4A) which I admit is excessive for such a short bow but even the crappiest 18650 cell should be able to deliver that without breaking a sweat. Chances are the wire would glow red and destroy your work-piece, but that can be remedied by using smaller gauge wire. Using wire sized such that that length gives you about an ohm would be ideal.

they are 3.7 volt. If you have a laptop and you are careful you can uses the batteries in the pack. Can be tricky to get out, but better to buy new ones. all the best.

I tried with spring wire and wire from a soldering iron.... i used 4 vold, 5 volt, 9 volt battery.. this is not working..plz help :(

This thing is just a bad idea. The battery used needs some kind of circuit protection to prevent it from being over heated or over used, this can cause the battery to fail and catch fire or worse. There are better hot wire videos and must better things to use found around the house.
no its not, copper wire cause the battery to heat up, but nichrome wire (used in the video) is completely safe and will not cause the battery to heat up. Aluminium wire and steel wire will also cause the battery to heat up unless it has some protective wiring around the copper wire but then it wont cut anything
Marshmello the battery can still vent with nichrome. It depends on the resistance not the type of wire. Check ohms law.
