Here's a great video with instructions for making a foam cutter from hot wire, and as the title suggests, it's truly a great tool! I was truly amazed by the creativity and ingenuity that went into making this device from very simple materials. Detailed instructions in the video make the job easier and not too complicated.
I didnt think it would work I did the math wrong I guess I thought there would not be enough wattage now you just need to make it rechargeable if m your going to be using it hook it straight to the power supply but you did good for using junk ro,make a usable tool Bravo!
Nope, the wood needs a much higher temperature to combust than for foam to melt. I built a table type foam cutter which runs on 12volt 4 amp going to a 28 ga nichrome wire and I can use thin cardstock for templates and the paper cardstock doesn't even turn brown. And, if you are considering making a hot wire foam cutter watch a few different videos and look for common advice, then build one. They are loads of fun to use, and do a great job.
Mere pas 12v or 1A ka transformer hai par wo boht heat hora hai or jo nicrom wire hai wo thoda hard hai wo itna heat nai hora but tharmacol easily cut jo transformer hai boht heat hora hai 30 second me hi boht heat hora hai kya karu
@@mozartips I'm just asking to lower the volume a tiny bit, the rest of the videos that I watch are all at the same low level, but when I click on your video it is so loud that it wakes everyone up from sleeping, there for I can not watch your video
Hmm, well… when undertaking a DIY styrofoam cutter powered by a 9V battery, safety is paramount. Ensure secure wiring, use suitable materials, and consider a push button for controlled activation to minimize the risk of accidents. Recognize that short circuits or overheating may pose hazards, potentially causing the battery to leak or rupture. The 9V battery supplies around 9 volts, and the wattage generated depends on the resistance of the cutting wire, following Ohm's Law (P = V^2 / R). ALWAYS exercise caution when working with heat-generating tools, supervise operation closely, and be aware of the potential risks involved in case of mishaps.
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best - and this certainly falls into this category!!

wow my friend, you are great, thanks for sharing your magic
Wow. Good job bro. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for a easy and helpful techniques which is easily explained by you. Thanks
Looking for this exact thing and can’t believe I found it.
Great Job. How long does the batter last?
Can you give the measurement of phi wire?? Do you think is better for bigger foam to add 2 9volts batteries in series?
He said .2mm.i have 22 gauge and it's. 5mm and I use a 12v 3amp power suppy for shaping plastics
Amazing work!
Fantastic. I just made one and it works a treat. Thanks for sharing. God bless you heaps.
Good idea 👍 Excellent 👍
Dankeschön, sehr gut 👍
Good diy, How many time it s ok? Please

Doesn't the wood burn?

How many volt is the battery?
Please lower the volume of the music during the video editing process, it's too loud.
Just mute it, no point leaving it on anyway.

Which wire used for heat cutting.??
Das ist ein tolles Video, ich werde mir diesen Foamcutter nachbauen, danke! 👍💚
Hast du ihn nach gebaut? Hab ne frage wie lange hält di 9 v Batterie?
So could you use a vape battery the same way I seen it done and was like is that safe
Bro 1st view 1st like really nice video
How long can this 9V support time
Не,не айс...нет выключателя.не снимать же каждый раз батарейку...
So nice
Why not you attach any switch
Box Fear , because the battery will be flat in minutes.
Hola.como se llama el alambre por favor
alambre nicrom
Intelligent 👍
You forgot an important piece of information. The info about the wire: what wire do I need to buy and where do I get it?
Nichrom wire.get it electronic shop.
simple but effective, I need to make one for making rc plane. Thankyou
Nice 👌👍
love thes😍
Oke...good..👍
first comment bro
nice idea
Easy simple an usefull tnx

Is it going to short circuit? since you connected the positive and negative?
No. The wire acts as a resistor and gets hot instead of just shorting
@@pareklund that was 4 years ago but thank you
@@pareklund How about the stick? All the metal and wire direct contact with it.
Nice
Awesome
ooo wow god brooo
whats that music
Mujhe bhi koi support Koro yr.....
