I really enjoy your PTX reactions.
Here are a few of my faves - most are live.
Gold (Kiiara cover)
Ride (21 Pilots cover)
Any of their Evolution videos
No (Meagan Trainor cover)
Carol of the Bells (Live at Christmas Under the Stars)
Joyful Joyful (live…Sister Act 2 cover)
And if you want to see their creative process …the Making of Evergreen
Thanks so much for watching and the recommendations !
Several of their originals touch on mental health topics, especially those co-written by Kirstin. 'Love Me When I Don't' and 'Be My Eyes' are two prime examples. A lot of Avi Kaplan's solo work also deals with these issues, example 'Healing'
Love that about them. Those songs you mentioned are amazing. Have reacted to all of them. Avi's solo music resonates a lot with me.
TX for this. Yes it was Ben Platt.
Pentatonix are absolutely great.
TX for this. Appreciate you. Greetings from South
The chances of this group coming together was so infinitesimally small that only the powers that be in the universe could have made it happen. I’m glad they decided to do that to allow us mere mortals to have something to brighten our days. Three kids (Scott, Mitch, Kirstie) meet as children who love to sing and decide to keep singing together in school and local theater. As a side note, can you imagine trying to keep those three reigned in in high school choir? Scott, Mitch and Kirstie say that she did help them learn to blend better. They become life-long friends.
Scott befriends Ben Bram who helps Scott get on The Sing Off. Ben introduces Scott to Avi. Scott talks Kevin into giving up med school at Yale and joining four strangers to compete on The Sing Off. They actually win the show. Sony drops them so they decide to start building their Pentaholic following on You Tube. Viral videos, and great music follows, and they get resigned to Sony. Avi decides to leave the group and they find another great bass in Matt. While Matt is not Avi, he is still excellent and I think he blends even better with the other members of PTX.
If anything happens differently along that path Pentatonix does not exist, and the world is a lesser place.
This performance on a theater stage appears to be both a plea for understanding (lyrics) and a desire to be seen (stage setting). Pretty good for some young theatre kids that kept performing and honing their craft, right?
I saw them live on their first tour after the sing-off ended ... very small venue, 250 people, tops. Then I was lucky enough to see an arena show with thousands of other fans. Go see them when you can. You will enjoy the show, and random chats with other fans.
If they do a show anywhere near me, i will definitely try to go.
I'm so happy that you reacted to this beautiful Pentatonix video. Thank you. I just knew that you would love it. Scott said that the song meant a lot to him when he was younger and wanted the band to cover it. I guess most people can relate to this song at some time in their lives. Fun fact: Ben Platt covered a Pentatonix original song "Can't Sleep Love".
Beautiful rendition of a beautiful song.
That is cool, going to have to check that one out at some point.
Saeed, here's a "Fathers Day" treat for you ! Listen to Kirstie singing alone with Voctave singing " Show Yourself". A Disney song. It will blow you away and show you how good she really is.
Definitely want to hear that one! I believe it is on my list, just havent gotten to it yet.
They all do, but Scott really shines in this one!
That poor piano must feel absolutely useless. :( Thanks for sharing your reaction with us!
If you want piano and PTX, check out their original Thank You. Bonus cello in that one too.
Nice decoration piece 😅.
Thanks for watching!
They have a passion for this one! There's a fun "behind the scenes" from when they shot the video for both this and "Shallow" as part of their PTXperience videos from 2019. You might enjoy it on your own- not necessarily for reacting to. Scott talks very briefly about how important this song is to him. ruclips.net/video/Ri7nUYCDWSg/видео.html
Thanks so much for sharing this. Will have a look!
Recommend their original of Thank You. Although it eludes to Christmas, it’s message is appropriate for any time of year.
Thanks for the recommendation.
Always the upgrade...
Omg.... Every time I listen to their version I get the very last note from Scott stuck in my head and I find myself random times throughout the day just going oh, oh oh oh
I LOVE this cover so much- such a perfect arrangement and performance!! Not enough reactors do it, so THANK YOU!!! Matt’s clear bass, Kevin’s 🤯beat- boxing, Scott’s passionate lead, Mitch and Kirstie’s powerful verses, the buildup, silence and climactic ending….🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for continuing with the PTX reactions. I look forward to them. I agree that the world is a better place with PTX in it, and I hope they continue to make music and spread joy for years to come!
Amazing rendition of this song. Love it.
Looking forward to more PTX. Thanks for watching.
I know I'm not anything discovering if I say that Pentatonix is a great group with nice voices. A few days ago I found out another "acapella group" called "VOCES8", maybe less known, and their performance of "Carrickfergus" seemed to me really beautiful. Just in case you feel like to hear them. Greetings 👋👋.
Thanks for the recommendation. Will add them to my list.
I'm so glad you did this one - I think it really shows off their theatrical chops. It's from "Dear Evan Hansen"
Great song! Love their rendition.
I first heard Ben Platt sing this song and I was in tears. I relate on so many levels. And then PTX did this song and no matter who reviews this song I tear up. Thank you for posting this reaction and for speaking about mental health! Love your reaction!
Very powerful song and very relatable. Love this version.
Thanks so much for being here ❤️. Take care.
Thanks for the reaction. Love Scott's runs. This song is tailor made for his voicej
Wish they would do something together in a theater setting.
They would absolutely shine in Jesus Christ Superstar. (probably dating myself)
Would love to see it.
A Jesus Christ Superstar Medley would be epic!!!!
Oh man- this is one of my favs -- Thanks so much for reacting to this one!
Amazing song and great version. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for great reactions!

A lot more to explore 😃
I do love this song from them, it does get me in the feels, and their voices are so GOOD for it!
I enjoy how you feel the music. That's so awesome. You and your family have a great day.
Thanks so much for being here. Have a wonderful day.
Love so much that you react and share about mental health and addiction and are so open to share. ❤
This is from a musical that's so amazing Called "Dear Evan Hansen".
So many PTX songs also focus on mental health and bullying, so it is quite relatable.
Keep sharing your voice and experience. 💜
Very relatable. Love that they have many performances that focus on topics like these. Thanks so much for watching. ❤️
