      The bike is more “quick” than fast. It accelerates much faster that most motorcycles that can go around that speed. But having the ability to pretty much ride on any trail with that speed and quickness makes it super fun

    Yeah to anyone looking to build one of these bikes … Don’t waste ur money on the zoom forks unless you just plain don’t have the money for an upgrade and can’t wait to save for better ones. I sold my zooms on eBay and got the DNM usd8’s and they are great but since then I got a new set of marzocchi bomber 58’s and will be selling my DNM’s. I am still debating on keeping them just in case I sell my bike, that way I can keep my marzochi’s for my next bike… hopefully one with a mid drive motor for sure this time. Maybe the SurRon, or even better… the Talaria (w/ a wider swingarm for a bigger rear tire) both seem like better options for me here in Florida with sandy offroad trails. Selling my bike seems a bit scary though considering I’ve heard so many nightmare stories about people just riding off on test rides and never coming back. Maybe I’ll make them give me 85% of the money up front before letting them take a test ride.

    • @jsmmao
      @jsmmao Год назад

      I’m trying to decide between a 8000kw alibaba bomber and the talaria. It’s a $1400 difference between them but bomber has 72v 40ah battery. I’m really nervous about range with talaria and using it in the road as that will be majority of my riding but like the off-roading capability too with talaria..anything with a hub and off-road is not fun for me. Maybe it’s different in these compared to my xclass but anything beyond a dirt/gravel road is painful

    • @jeromedickey5182
      @jeromedickey5182 2 года назад +4

      It's an 8kw motor but he's running 12600 watts. Watts are decided by volts x amps. 84(fully charged) and 150a (amps continous) motor power ratings are just the optimal wattage for the longevity of the motor but the truth is they can handle way more than there rated for. You can be under powered or over powered depending on the power of your battery. For instance If he ran 72v 50a he would be running 3600w and be seriously power deficient but he could run 72v 300a and run 21600w's. Be sure to focus on continuous amps when purchasing your battery 😁

As far as prices go i'm not sure I didn't get the best deal on mine but look around and i'm sure you can find a decent deal. As for the 8kw vs 5kw they would push the same power if given the same power. However the 8kw has a lot more potential for power. For instance both can run 72v 150a which fully charged puts out 12600w's. But if you were to run 72v 300a which is about 21kw the 5kw probably wouldn't be able to handle it which would make it over heat and burn up. The 8kw being a bigger motor could handle the power and wouldn't over heat.
