Anyone else here in 2024 still listening to this soundtrack? 🎧
Yup !
Of course.😊
Yep
Oh yeah
“Earth is a Memory Worth Fighting For”
11 years later, this is still one of the best damn sci-fi movies ive ever seen 🔥 🔥 super underrated
The best.
Просто людей с яркой фантазией и логическим мышлением меньше, чем тех кому нравятся комиксы🙃
Фильм сильный. Заставляет задуматься о многом.
Музыка тоже шикарная👍
Very good indeed. Way underrated, I still cannot understand why.
@@dimabogdan77 The 2nd-thrid act was not very good But the opening and ending was awesome. Still one of my fav movies of all time. Unmatched in style.
Because it makes us look inward as human beings, and most people don't like to do that because it is painful and it makes us aware of all the internal work that each of us should do.@@dimabogdan77
The music used for the end credits can elevate your movie experience tenfold. Oblivion was already a fantastic movie but when this song came on during the credits, it became a 10/10 epic for me.
I agree. There was the movie... and then there was the song. Both amazing. Together, a f'in masterpiece.
I liked the movie but this song at the end just made it a great experience for me
This also happened to me with Valerian and the city of a thousand planets. End credit song was perfect
Oh and Edge of tomorrow!
thats true as fuck dude
@@CRF250R1521 Edge also great, and yes together with a movie a banging tune can really hit the sweet spot. Oblivion doesn't get enough respect... brought to our knees by a vastly superior monster. Great ending. Cruise near his best. We could probably do with that scenario right about now.
Crazy to see how fresh and original this song still feels ten years later. Simply amazing.
Some songs never grow old.
Tom Cruise sci-fi movies like Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow are highly underrated
Strange. They are at my top then best movies of all time
yea, even though they are amazing
Fuck you Sally.
I watched Edge of Tomorrow more than 6 times,..... and I am not even a movie-lover..
Because these movies are not marvel.
I remember sitting in the theater when this film finished and this came on, normally I just get up and leave but the tune was catchy so I stuck around to listen to the whole thing & then I hunted down the song when I got home
Did exactly the same))
I did the same. This is a profound song, and movie. There is a lot more going on than is initially apparent it would seem.
@@leeleighton8479 - that's how I felt too. The way he sacrificed himself to save his wife.
who did write the lyrics ?
Totally agree just what I did when I heard this banger
It's not a song, it's something else. It's....
Magical.
...a celebration of life. (not by me)
I built my own surround sound so it would be a tiny bit like the cinema
I dont like your comment…..100 is magical! 😊
I could not have worded it any better.
Movie just got added to Netflix. Watched this for the first time. Can't believe I missed out on this masterpiece. Highly underrated.
really? i watched it on 2021, but now in netflix, man i gotta rewatch it 🤣🤣
We are now an effective team.
I watched it in February 2020. Great movie!
can't believe you missed out on it either lol. Saw it in theaters with friends. It was an amazing time and memory of mine in high school I'll hold on to forever.
Saw it for the first time earlier this year, after having heard this masterpiece of a song for years. I thought it was pretty excellent overall, slightly undeveloped characters and not the most original plot I’ve seen, but the way it was executed was nothing short of fantastic!
this movie is as underrated as the soundtrack... Loved it! so good!
What a Great movie!
Absolutely
the soundtrack is great but the movie has some issues.... secretly I loved it, but if I say so no one respects your judgement after...
Loved it sooooo much! One of his Best movies. Always makes me cry
U r exactly right
This song takes me on a magical journey of goosebumps and emotions every time.
exactly as i'm feeling after 2 years!

If you haven't listened to it yet, listen to "Outro" from M83 too.
After 9 years... This movie still amazing!!!
You said it 🤘♥️
Imagine 2023 that this put this movie back in theaters people would say forget that marvel and DC movie I'm going to see this in 4k or even a bigger silver string. Am I right or am I wrong for saying this.
And it will be amazing still in 50 years, I tell you.
Most underrated movie. I mean Jamie lannister is in it and no one noticed! 10/10
@@ronaldedge3317 not at all wrong ❤️
It's M83 - featuring Susanne Sundfør - it's really important to say that. She makes the song what it is; one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever recorded on planet Earth.
For me its the instrumentals, she definitely improves the song and adds lovely vocals to it. But it's a great collaboration
I remember listening to this forever ago lol. Even now, I still definitely agree with you.
In sasquatch it was Kaela Sinclair who sang the song and she nailed it. Is was one of the best performances i ever saw.
@@ChrischrosBelgium Yep, Agreed. 🤩 But we're talking about Oblivion here and the Star is Susanne Sundfør.
@@ChrischrosBelgium could you provide a link to what you're talking about or how i should search for that id like to see it 😁
A terribly underrated film. From the story, acting, production values and soundtrack; a thoroughly watchable and enjoyable film.
unfortunately there are just too many Tom Cruise sci-fi films and this one wasn't anything groundbreaking
One of the most beautifully filmed sci-fi films ever.
Suffers from what Tron: Legacy suffered - absolutely orgasmic audiovisual experience but brought down by clumsy writing
I personally am terribly underrated as well
The vocals are awesome, but it's the drums that carry this song for me.
OH MY The drums beat the rhythms of my heart
m83 really did it... they shows all composers that... drum really can kill it all..
yes, drummer's heaven
agree
Drums in m83 outro is also really good..better than this in my opinion
OMG! That voice of Susanne Sundfor is something incredible. Like Gathering or so. Super movie and super song.
If you'd ever traveld to Sundfør, a small, dark valley in South Western Norway you'd know why. An old, soulfull place. She's amazing
@@Sigve88dogbay i want to travel there. Please share your advice.
100th like
I don't know why, but this song literally makes me want to cry, but like in a good way.
m83 can just grab that part of us i guess, cos its not even a sad song right, I luv it.
iv forgot the name but there's another m83 tune with just 2 people looking at each other its amazing
Yes. It's euphoric.
It’s truly a love song. Add the orchestra and you have the complete package. The vocal is outstanding!

The drums get me so hyped

This song hits me in just the right spot. It’s expansive and epic, but also personal and intimate. 10/10
You worded this perfectly💚✨
Well said!
This song was my first exposure to M83. I've been hooked ever since. Incredible piece. My favorite part is the piano ending staring at 4:39 ... how hauntingly beautiful this piece is.
My first exposure was holes in the sky from insurgent
that parts too mellow for me, not as impactful
really? I am not fond of that part - but the song is amazing :)
Yep, the piano / string outro is stunning. It's like coming out of a storm on the coast, with waves crashing, you finally get some sun through the clouds, and the waters calm.
Seems like we share the same story
This song is a cosmic journey through the stars!
"For how can a man die better, than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his gods." Horatius
Since I was young, I knew I'd find you
But our love was a song sung by a dying swan...
And in the night, you hear me calling
You hear me calling
And in your dreams you see me falling, falling...
Breathe in the light
I'll stay here in the shadow
Waiting for a sign, as the tide grows
Higher, and higher, and higher...
And when the nights are long
All those stars recall your goodbye, your goodbye...
And in the night you'll hear me calling
You'll hear me calling
And in your dreams you'll see us falling, falling...
Breathe in the light and say goodbye...

I just realized this is the lyrics to the song...
You forgot "Ooooooooooooh-ooooh-ooh-oooooooh" Haha
I love this song

Thank youuu
I've watched this movie 50+ times over the years.... I love the music and I love the intense connection they have... I'd like to think that everyone could find their soulmate like this... Powerful!!
Whole song is great but piano solo at 4:40 is just beautiful , so much nostalgia in such short music.

This is peak movie soundtrack shit right here. Phenomenal movie. Can’t believe M83 did so damn well with this.
My favorite part is 0:00 to 5:57

M83 at their finest, and Susanne Sundfør's voice is haunting. This masterpiece never fails to move me. ❤🔥
That ending piano score. ❤🔥❤🔥
I thought it was a different song
This song reminds me so much of Interstellar, I can imagine Murphy in this song, seeing her dad become her ghost, and after this, just staying, waiting for him to come back to her. "Since i was young, I knew i'll find you" I don't know, but it works to me.
literal best movie in existence
I thought I was the only one who found it close to me.
Omg SAME
you got me on that one
Yes I agree this would have worked well for Murph also
M83 and Susanne Sundfor were definitely an effective team.
Man. I've tried a lot of headphones at this point and this is one of those songs that you can keep coming back to and finding new layers of. There's so many minute details and instruments that a variety of signatures really helps shine.
I use this song to test headphones lol

Wot a voice, wot a majestic voice...
Now it's not time for morn, I've already cried (all alone).
Thank you for the lyrics!
One of my fav sci fi movies ever. I watch it over and over. But this tune is in another level. Kind of hymnotic.
The intrigue, intensity and passion in this track (and the poignancy in the coda) are certainly the work of M83, but the vocal work of Susanne Sundfør absolutely matches and extends all those qualities and brings some of the desperate, vivid power of the track up several notches. Don’t sleep on Susanne Sundfør; she has several albums out and is a stunning music producer, performer and songwriter in her own right.
Whoever the drummer is, your work on this masterpiece is magical
He’s killing it😎
It’s a drum machine, M83 does all the music in this. He’s really good at making drum machines sound human

11 years of the movie 😢, still the underrated sci fi movie with the underrated song.....
I hear they made a movie based on this song. Seriously the song is amazing.
If you like scifi then you're gonna love it😅
This song, when listened with headphones, takes me to another place, it makes me fell fulfilled yet nullified , its beautiful, symphonic and just.. Magical
One of those songs you want to play full blast but even then you still want to hear it even louder for those drums
That last minute was it... I lost it. It hits the most when you went from a life that seemed to head for the stars only for it to come crashing down before you knew what was coming. I'll push through but damn, it's like the song invites you to shed tears so you can build yourself up.
I been hook on this song since the beginning... her voice is so amazing
Amazing mysterious attractive
Her voice just pulls you in🥰
This became one of my favorite songs, especially the piano at the last minute or so. This movie came out around the time that my dad died and it was one of the last movies we watched together.
I'm sorry for your loss. This is a good song.
It was a very good one as well.

M83, you are a musical GENIUS. Your work is amazing, and every song of yours I have listened too has been stuck in my had at least once. Especially this one.
Keep at it, man. You are the definition of greatness.

@@user-tf5qr7fy2i Her voice is just amazing
@@nicolasdubus669 Yes, her voice is angelic, crystal clear and soothing, and her voice compliments electronic music very well. I'm happy that Susanne collaborated with M83 and that they wanted her for the vocals. I really wish that there will be many more songs like this for the future :-) I really like it a lot when high quality electronic music is combined with a strong female voice, as is the case for this song. Luckily we are blessed that some artists really know how to make good music. ;-) If you want to hear another song by her, there are many ones to recommend, I really like "Running to the sea", which is produced by a Norwegian electronic band called Röyksopp and where Susanne has the vocals:

A true Masterpiece. One of the Best songs ever created and sung by Her magical voice.
this came out when I had my first job at Regals movie theater. Every time I hear this I get a flood of memories back
