  • This demo is a joint effort between Universal Robots and Robotiq, featuring the all new UR20 and Robotiq's Palletizing Solution. The demo highlights the improvements in performance, such as overall motion control capabilities and more than 30% increase in speed and torque. The small footprint of the new UR20 results in a remarkably compact installation, optimizing utilization of the workspace. The new extended reach is demonstrated here stacking to the height of 1800mm, covering two standard euro (40in x 48in / 1200mm x 800mm)) pallets. The demo shows how our kinematics easily cover both the pallets and an infeed at the same time. Our unique control algorithms ensure a smooth trajectory between setpoints and stable pick up of the individual boxes. The complete setup is running via a standard single-phase power outlet (110-220 VAC), speaking again to ease of deployment. Learn more: www.universal-robots.com/prod...

Are any additional safety devices needed for this particular application? I assume there is no need for a human to go into the cobot work space. On the other hand the cobot manipulates boxes at head level. In case of misuse it could be dangerous.

Don't worry. No need for security fencing. Workers can also work alongside machines. Maybe the machine has a touch-stop function, when people touch the machine, the machine will stop instantly.

@@zodelucy9159 I'd like to see video of that in use to see how it really stops

Assuming the weight of the boxes is around 10KG, what is the maximum number of boxes that can be handled per minute by this robot system?

normally it can do around 10-12 bpm and even more if the weight of the box permit to multpick.

Empty boxes, easy, now with boxes of 13 kg, I don’t think you can suck those up?

What benefit do he get by lie to you? Maybe you can buy one and try it.🤣

You can. That's just a matter of getting the right gripper.

Robotiq have a gripper that can lift 18kg without a problem.

    稼働音とか聴きたいのに。

Obviously, it's just a simulation, so there's no 稼働音 as you expected.☺
