    Another good demo, well done.
    There is an alternative to all that masking.
    Paint the tires with something like washing up liquid. paint won't stick to the rubber and when all the spraying is over and dried, simply wash off the tire.
    It may sound like something from a comedy sketch show, but it does work.

    Top tip for masking tyres. Use playing cards and tuck them down between the tyre and rim all the way round. Then mask off as normal from the cards.

    I do like the aggressive look of the K02 tyres but I went for Michelin Agilis CrossCountry because they are rated better for grip in Rain and on Dry roads, Comfort, MPG, and slightly less noise & better tyre tread wear. The Snow/Ice performance is almost the same the K02. plus they have similar side wall reinforcement to the K02. The one thing the K02 have over the Michelin is they are designed to run with lower tyre pressure, when you need to increase grip on mud and sand. The other reason I went for the Michelin is because UK ambulances use them and they are C Rated for fuel efficiency, where are K02 are Rated E for fuel efficiency. I recently went from a C rated tyre to an A rated tyre on my other van and I noticed a massive difference. To the point where I had to constantly lift my foot off the pedal to stay under the speed limit. The Michelin cost £10-£15 more but with fuel prices I will soon make that money back on the MPG.

      I have to be honest i did not really consider these elements, i just went by looks and the fact at the NEC, every 'angry' and 'mean' looking camper were all sporting the BF's so seemed the 'go to' choice. great info though. thanks.

      @@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 Do you have 15 or 16 inch steel wheels on your van? I think 15 inch wheels can limit the tyres available. Which is why so many people upgrade to 16 inch alloys. The load rated alloys are crazy prices. My old ambulance is already up-plated to 4.1 tonnes and has a larger stud pattern, (130 PCD stud pattern on the wheels, compared to the standard 118 PCD) which also means more expensive brake disks with less availablity but I did get load rated alloys. As standard ambulances don't come with a spare wheel, so I had to buy one.

      Not an add-on im afraid, they come as standard on the 'enterprise' variant of the relay van.

    great video, think I'll do the same. I have same tyre as you 215/75/R16 but cannot find any BF Goodrich tyre the same size. What size BF Goodrich did you go with, please?

      I went with the 225/75/16 being the nearest and they fit just fine. I asked my local tyre company and they said these will fit the rims no problem. I would recommend you talk to your local tyre people first however for confirmation of fitment of course and not take a youtubers word for it.... good luck and hope they look really cool, I am super happy with mine.

    I was going to ask the last video what you where going to do with the wheels. I have a black boxer van and have been thinking of painting the wheels with black hammerite, that way they can be touched up easily. Are your wheels 15” or 16” ? Mine are 15” and I don’t think the BF’s come in my size

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  2 года назад +1

      Mine are 16". not sure about the BF sizes but I guess you may be able to pick up a set of 16" originals fairly cheap on sleazebay where people change for alloys.

      Thanks for watching. Best answer I can give is that if you need to ask the question then definitely dont paint yours.
