True, but they do pretty good around lots of mobs: Reaper 2:56 Bladesworn 4:59 Mirage 5:46 Scourge 9:17 Holosmith 11:44 Renegade 15:44 Deadeye: ruclips.net/video/FCkA5isFwfk/видео.html Obviously going full power will be better for killing mobs fast, but it is a downgrade against everything else. The build it's still amazing and I like it the best for soloing bosses, but it become much less comfy to play in those scenarios. Another example would be mirage in a zerg where you don't have time to setup your clones. Always an informative watch, your Guild Wars 2 videos are. And your knowledge of the game has increased my enjoyment of it, just by getting to run the builds you put together and describe. Topnotch work my friend! 👍
Thank you for that vid, your builds (herald willbender & spellbreaker) have been really helpful, managed to solo some content I thought I couldn't. Cheers mate keep up the good work !
Don't know too much about soloing in this game, but it's nice to see people arguing in the comments. That means that a lot of classes can perform well even if they are lower in your tier list.
Very complicated for Untamed? I'm trying Druid and missing Untamed for the simple rotation (we are talking open world builds after all). Each time Axe 3 is off-CD I use it, then unleash, use all pet kills, unleash again, ambush. Use different off hands for weapon swap, doesn't matter, Axe 3 is the clincher to make it simple. Can be completely ranged unlike Druid where I have to get close to use my celestial avatar. And the sustain is mwah, chef's kiss, also, simply incorporated in the DPS rotation where I find I ignore most of my Druid's CA skills unless fighting a champion.
For Untamed to reach "High DPS" to match Soulbeast & Druid DPS (check the screenshot in the description). The rotation is very strict since you need to land 2 dagger ambush attacks in 9s before swapping to Shortbow, also there is no buff to tell you "when you are ready to reuse ambush attack". So it is "very complicated" for the majority of players or new players to do. But in the end, this is a general tier list, if you are untamed main you won't find it a problem at all. Rotation: ruclips.net/video/QRrFeX42pIY/видео.html Note: if you check the "Medium Armor specs" video in the description I have 2 builds for untamed the one that uses a shortbow and the other uses an axe/torch, both have the same DPS. But i went with shortbow to showcase the same gear that i use for all ranger specs
@@LordHizen I respect you because you're a lot _(A LOT)_ better at the game than me, both in actually playing it as well as theorycrafting. But you were rating the builds by ease of use as well, and maining two axes makes the ambushes a breeze to use _(and it's not a waste if we are using celestial gear)_ , in turn making the rotation a breeze, and the Axe ambush hits hard(est?) . Then we have a beast of a build doing lots of damage and healing with a simple rotation of _'if axe 3 is up then use it and unleash, use all pet skills, unleash again, ambush'_ . For an open world build it is more important to have a simple rotation we can muscle memory than trying to squeeze a few K more of damage. I would even suggest swapping Wilderness Survival for Nature magic. Using both Sun and Storm spirits brings offense and defense with the Sun adding Might, a Blind, and Burn _(both Blind and Burn reapplied via Nature Magic trait)_ , and Storm doing a Daze _(triggering Quickness twice, same as before, which in turns makes the Might building from Axe autos ramp up)_ and Fury but also hitting pretty darn hard by itself _(around 4k, twice, so it's common to see it one shot normal mobs in a WIDE AoE)_ . Both spirits on a 20 second timer so they are both ranged and easy to use and the reapplied Blind and Daze eat up at CC bars, so it's actual triple duty for the spirits with offense _(Burn from Sun + 8 Might, Storm with Fury + Quickness x2 from Enhancing Impact + 4k ish x2 direct damage)_ , defense _(Blind twice, Daze twice)_ , and CC _(Blind x2, Daze x2)_ . I'm pretty sold to Nature Magic tbh. Increase hit damage from Bountiful Hunter makes Ambush hit harder _(and thus heal more)_ , the minor grants our boons to the pet so it hits a bit harder and survives better, Windborne Notes recharge on warhorn makes Vulnerability and Might easier to upkeep _(and I will not sneeze on the extra regen for me and pet)_ , and Nature's Vengeance clinches the usage of the spirits, which, as I said, prime for having both an offense and defense role when used instead of just one or the other.
@@CedricDur swapping wildness survival for nature magic is a huge DPS drop + wildness survival not only a DPS trait line. Wildness survival generates protection after dodging + 416 heal per second as long you have protection + 25% endurance recovery. So wildness survival is an important trait line to increase the total damage so you don't feel slow when you try to kill mobs and to provide a passive sustain to reduce incoming damage and heal at the same time.
@@LordHizen We lose the heal from Protection and lose Protection itself (and the 25% endurance is good too), but gain regen from beast skills, regen from using any warhorn skills, 20% better regen, and all the defensive stuff I mentioned above (which does not work on champions, I agree). There's also a third slot I did not mention which could be for Stone Spirit. Even at my ungeared level Protection lasts for 7 seconds out of 20, and since my pets shares boons thanks to Nature Magic Protection is 100% uptime for it by using Stone. I can't say how much damage is lost though the 120/240 condition damage is probably the most substantial of the lot. The pet is a bit too weak to really care about the boon sharing offensively and the Spirits could compare with the otherwise picked utilities, but probably will not make up for the 120/240. Regardless you're a pro at this and I'm a noob so it's dumb to insist when you must have it all mathed out and tested already. It does all hinge on changing the utilities to Spirits to enjoy the Quickness and the triple utility they bring (CC break, damage, defense).
Can anyone explain why he's saying Chrono can't deal average damage? Seriously because I get like 21.5k solo dps on a dummy and at least 15k while being nearly unkillable on champion bounties.
i definitly dont understand how you can put reaper and berserker at thos places and under the mech bladesworm soulbeast etc... x)) maybe you have just play them quickly
As a mirage, I can guarantee that it is very comfy to play.. Porting, dodging, and confusing enemies are so fuuuun to do :) Love the video! My top three classes are in the legendary tier
been playing Necro since launch. i liked Scourge when it came out, but just came back after a year break and probably a year before that since I played Scourge, and I hated it. It felt awful placing down shades. Idk what change was made but i think they go away quicker and I couldnt keep 3 up at all times. By the time Id get through a rotation, they were all gone, with one 1 recharge. just didnt feel good to play anymore. Went back to Harbinger. It is now the only spec I like (I never liked Reaper).
Great video. To me i feel like the comfy part lowers the tiers for me. Most of those are so dull to play because they are too simple. I love smashing the keys fast af on berserker. Other fave used to be power renegade, gotta take a look at other versions now!
Thanks man, amazing info! One question: which build would be effective on group content and benefit the most from celestial stats? I watched someone doing a bunch of CM fractals with dps/support healer CeleBrand (2022 video). It was frenetic but awesome. From your videos Herald seems to be the one. Also Replenishing Despair trait seems really cool to mess with lol.
if with 'group content' you refer to 5 or 10players and fractals or raids squads then nobody there should run builds with celestial gear. you run either power or condition dps or support /heal builds
The builds I'm promoting in this channel are for open world only. If you are looking for group content builds I highly suggest checking SnowCrows website SnowCrows: snowcrows.com/builds
@@LordHizen The only Celestial builds there is about CeleBrand. I asked because you seem the most devoted with celestial testing. Thanks for the response though. @@mateusbrilhante.Yes which is why cele firebrands are viable. However, there just isnt many other builds that have same viablility as them. Even if other classes can be played using cele, it still requirea a good enough player to maximise their potential and a willingness of others
@@embreis2257 Ehhh. There are builds that don't lose a lot of DPS when going celestial, allowing celestial builds to represent a decent hybrid between a boondps and a healer when you don't need maximum healing. You wouldn't bring it to anything with toughness tanking mechanics (unless you ARE the tank), but celestial healers are practical for fractals and some strikes. Wouldn't bring one without discussing it with the group, since it does mean less group healing, but there is definitely instanced group content where full heal builds feel like overheal.

@nefonous you don't have to NOTICE it as he said in the intro in vid it is build for OPEN WORLD CONTENT only not for raids nor strike or dungeons you can use it in fractals though if you're as good as lord hizen and the build that hizen created is for the players who love roaming around the open world and like to challenge them self for solo fighting champions, boss mobs or doing bounty they don't care if they don't have ascended or legendary gear exotic gear is good for them even how many times they died they will comeback and try to kill it until eventually they could.
I came back after 8 years and pushed for firebrand. It’s… ok, but feels like I have to do alot to get… some.. im tempted to try either mechanist or deadeye - which one is going to be more fun? I also tried herald but it too felt a little clunky for me with the stance AND weapon swapping constantly.
Mesmer chronomancer is a great power build that also does dps support with only swapping a grand master trait. Chronomancer out damages virt and mirage right now. And once you get used to the shatters it has very good sustain. Personally I run chrono for most pve with power mirage for pvp.
literally every class has one. necro, power cata and weaver will fk you and everything else, power chrono, power sulbeast, power untamed, power deadeye, power mechanist and scrapper lol
herald isn't squishy at all. But it requires you to time your healing skills correctly. A bit counter intuitive but herald healing actually performs at its peak when you steer straight into the damage field. Herald heal will negate all incoming damage + heal you by a lot, which is basically a reactive block heal. The downside though is that if you time it poorly you will completepy waste it. Also, maintaining protection uptime is important. But if specced in celestial condi, you will have so much boon and barrier uptime passively that it makes for amazing sustain on its own. My only problem with my rev char is that after a while it starts feeling ridiculously boring to play. I much enjoy my reaper or mechanist (and I basically never pick gunpowder classes in mmos almost as a fixed rule).
/bow Quite well argued list. I've tried most of those and while all are powerfull and some have more or less sustain the main reason I stick to a few is beacuse they are easy to play. My favourite is probably power Vindicator, but the celestial build is WAY stronger when you face foes really dangerous. I don't known hot to play Mirage yet had lot of success with your celestial build. I also like a lot Firebrand and Willbender, but while Firebrand is easy to play but performs weakly vs hard foes Willbender works well but is much more demanding. Also Bladesworn: a well played Bladesworn is like seing a Samurai Champloo anime chapter, but is hard and complex to play.
I just picked up Revenant returning to the game after a long break. Good to see its a top tier class for all specs. I'm just starting to unlock Renegade, but now that there's weapon master training, I might switch to Herald (i just really wanted the bow for condis, but all the boons sounds fun too).
It only talks about a particular build who only use two element (and I'm not even sure that you need to double attune) So the build is easy, but the class isn't (tempest is easier)
I made a celestial Herald build that has passive regen, swiftness, fury, 25 might and quickness. Due to traits it has 100% crit chance all the time and double boon duration. I made it for my girlfriend so she can just left click on stuff and it dies. I follow her with berserker gear and attack with Shiro's Impossible Odds (+ all the boons from being near her). We're virtually unkillable and it's so brainless to play. You just left click and do 12k+ DPS lol
I feel like there has to be a way to make a decent condi firebrand OW build. Litany is 20 sec cd base now, and you could use bow of truth same as willbender.
there totally is, this video is apparently 100% geared towards people who like soloing champions for fun. Go check out guildjen, they have very decent OW builds there.
Hello, virtuoso got nerf recently ? I'm back to GW2 this week and I would like to play viruoso as it was pretty simple and powerfull lately in raid/strike etc
This is a Hizen tier list. It has nothing to do with raid/strike/fractals, just solo play with a focus on high sustain. Virtuoso is a great spec for group content.
The comments on weaver confuses me. So its easier than tempest and catalyst but its sustain is slightly worse cause you have to stop and swap to water element to heal. So based off the rest of the list this sort of sounds A tier to me but it was put in B
@@legendaryvicius The best dps builds with FB and DH have very little self sustain or room to endure punish; yes they are amazing at bursting crowds of regular mobs or low HP bosses in seconds, but if the fight has to last 2-4 minutes they burn they tools very fast and then had to wait for the cooldowns... Meanwhile the top rated builds in his tier do damage while passively re-sustain themselves and are easy to play. Is hard to disagree with that.
@@Buran01Every guardian has S tier sustain. Litany of Wrath is an insane heal skill with a very low cooldown (thank you cooldown trait removal buff). They get 6 seconds of functional invulnerability every 20 seconds. Radiance Power Guardians cap out on crit at 40%, so they get to use many Dragon pieces which bumps their HP up to the 19k range, which is very helpful in letting them survive to their next Litany of Wrath cooldown.
@@rayray0987 I disagree. Dragon will lose the armor, healing power and boon duration from celestial stats and albeit the power burst will be higher and hybrid build with more condi sources works better vs foes with high thoughness as the heavily armored habitants from HoT. Litany is a powerfull 1 to 100% HP ins seconds if is well played, But Guardian doesn't have perma regeneration and vigor as cele Vindicator or Mirage. 19K HP is like 5k less than the Rev and Mirage, and those two barely get hit in encounters due the class mechanics... I'm not saying that Guardian is bad at OW, but is mid tier in that list for a reason: other professions and specs have either much higher damage, better sustain, easier gameplay or a mix of all and get placed above for a reason.
simplest? lol? constant swaps, pressing most weapon skills + utility + pet skills (both untamed and dont) and all of that should be timed well is 'simplest' now?
@@SilverWF Kinda is, just need to keep track of the ambush ICD. I use Axe 3 since it has a 10 seconds CD. So when ever Axe 3 is up I unleash, use all pet skills, unleash, ambush. Voila. Using two main hand axes lets the second weapon be a torch (or dagger) and a warhorn, so alternate, or don't bother and just stick to axe + warhorn. Other than Axe 3 it's literally press all buttons faceroll. In my case I roll with Nature Magic and two spirits so I have double Quickness + fury + might + blinds + dazes. It's a great little set up and as mentioned it's kinda half HP (or full HP) just by doing your DPS rotation. But Axe 3 is up? Stop, unleash, all pet skills, unleash, ambush.
I know this is only a month old but we have so so many big changes coming with the patch. So many powerful trait line changes to Mesmer and scrapper, herald etc and then the new weapons on the horizon also would love to see an updated list I think it’s going to shift a lot with some of these major changes.
I agree! I’d love to see an updated list as well. Power Chrono using dagger/sword and dagger/focus with Illusions and Domination focusing on phantasms is a really strong build for open world and dps is insane. Haven’t fought anything tough enough to test the sustain but it definitely has made its way out of under performing.
I run a celestial virtuoso build i found here on yt and it performs way better than i thought. I can solo stuff i couldn't before. So it isn't as bad as Hizen said 😄
I have to disagree with scapper being in C tier for open world... it has really decent burst damage, can keep up permanent quickness, has access to superspeed on demand, generates a lot of barrier, has an evade and a block on hammer skills, has amazing CC, you can run elixirs traitline to become nearly unkillable... im not saying it should be considered legendary tier, but atleast S o A tier for open world. Anyways, love your videos, keep up the good work :)
I've had an easier time as a newish player on scrapper compared to holosmith, I've tried to solo some story mode dungeons and scrapper was way easier compared to holo. But I am a newer player. Also went undefeated in a few PvP matches with Scrapper and got beat up with holo.
This is an old video before the Soto expansion release but it should be enough to tell you the differences between scrapper and holosmith. Note: Current holosmith have higher damage & easy to play Video: ruclips.net/video/n8X5qHCmHDk/видео.html
so what happens when you want to go into dungeons or fractals? your have to change whole build? also surprised you put scourge above reaper since scourge got nerfed?
WARNING ABOUT DEAD EYE: It's only legendary tier for certain encounters. Trying to play dagger 3 build on nearly all the content, you'll see why forced movement and missing some attacks (due to moving mobs, mechanics) will make it drop from Legendary tier performance down to literally C tier or even lower. Add the fact that you can sometimes still get hit in the middle of Dagger 3 and not having some skills off CD, you can just die or be stuck walking back and forth. AND add the fact that landing the backstab is critical in performing at all with this build, and you'll start to see problems. I'd realistically give it a A tier, because it is literally either super legendary or hot garbage (open world content, since that's what the builds are made for).
Let me simplify it: * "missing some attacks due to moving mobs, mechanics" This reason falls to all melee range not just deadeye + dagger 3 chase the target not locked in a specific area "back & forth". * Deadeye cant die easily also it's able to "evade" in the middle of Dagger 3 check this clip: ruclips.net/video/FCkA5isFwfk/видео.html * Landing backstab is part of the build to maximize the damage yes, the same thing goes to any other spec like bladesworn landing dragon slash etc, etc. * The reason I said legendary tier is not only because it has good damage or healing, but also can spam Shortbow 2 to kill a group of mobs and heavy CC by spamming skill 4 on Shortbow.
@@LordHizen "* "missing some attacks due to moving mobs, mechanics" This reason falls to all melee range not just deadeye + dagger 3 chase the target not locked in a specific area "back & forth"." Not true. If you try to use this build on certain bosses like the gangwar meta or soo-won, it becomes a problem which is perfectly fine with other melee focused specs. "* Deadeye cant die easily also it's able to "evade" in the middle of Dagger 3 check this clip: " I should clarify, I meant in the middle of spamming Dagger 3. It's not consistent, no matter what clips (that I've probably seen already) you provide, in my own actual use around many pieces of content there are disappointing moments where you are in the Dagger 3 phase and in between the skill usage, despite doing it as fast as possible, you CAN get hit (the worst being CC hits). Otherwise, I wouldn't bother bringing it up, but it has happened one too many times. "* Landing backstab is part of the build to maximize the damage yes, the same thing goes to any other spec like bladesworn landing dragon slash etc, etc." Considering you came up with this build, you should know better. Backstab is far more important that just 'maximizing damage'. It consumes malice, which gives back initiative in order to spam Dagger 3. You literally explained this yourself in the previous video about it. That's not the only problem with backstab: you need to be stealthed, and stealth lasts only for a few seconds. This means you have to resort to utility skills should a backstab fail, and it is during this phase that you are the most vulnerable. For something like Bladesword, you only lose damage, and it's a very short window. Being stuck without initiative severely cripples you as Deadeye since you lose out on damage, evades, AND your maleficent seven boons. Lastly, Shortbow 2 and 4 might deal decent damage to mobs but your main bulk of surviving is evades which was from Dagger 3. Of course, this doesn't matter too much for a lot of the open world but there will often be times where you cannot mob and survive as well WHILE keeping up the damage that most of the other open world builds that you made can. I'm not saying the build is bad, but it FEELS bad when pretty much every other build you have here has no trouble with the same content.
There is something I feel like I have to mention about this tier list, IMO, it's not a newbie-friendly tier list, and looks at elite Specs from the perspective of a professional who has already accumulated a lot of experience playing these elite Specs, I am a pretty new player to GW2 and I only played like a third of the available elite Specs, however, when it comes to the classes and Elite Specs I did have the time to play, many of them that you put in A, S or even Legendary tier I found to be extremely hard to play and very much not newbie friendly, so I was completely baffled when I saw that you gave them the A, S or Legendary tier, I think that maybe, if you have the free time, you should make a tier list for the most newbie friendly elite Specs in the game, since this list only makes sense for veteran players who had already accumulated lots of time playing around with all of GW2'S elite Specs
It always feels weird that deadeye, a spec that was released on the idea of a long range sniper assassin with rifle proficiency, is better in melee with daggers, pistols, and short bow. Using Deadeye as “intended”(quotes are necessary here, as the argument of intended can change from person to person; here it refers to the general vibe and flavor of the spec, not to the mechanical usages) is a great way to get instant gibbed.
herald can burst its damage pretty fast, while scourge takes time till the damage builds up. That's why I said Herald has amazing DPS since it will kill any elite mobs or lower faster compared to Scourge. but against a boss fight, both will perform almost the same DPS
He says, "I hope this video was helpful, I am not a fan of making tier list videos, so I hope Anet won't ruin this current tier list soon." And then ANET drops the proposed changes for the balance update to drop next week....sorry bud! I feel for you lol. But I LOVE tier lists so....I look forward to the next one! 😜

You can literally go look at all the information for why this isn't true, if you still think otherwise I would love to watch you solo a Legendary Bounty with Daredevil in a decent amount of time compared to Deadeye. If you are willing to show me this I would like to watch you attempt it if you're on NA.
Prove it. Daredevil is basically core thief with an extra dodge. Deadeye has all the self boons, initiative regen, and synergies with shadow arts which provides a ton of self heal and Condi cleanse and even more initiative regen. Specter has shadow shroud and tons of condi damage passives not to mention quickness from wells and also boons.
You talk about "builds" but mostly the classes specs, what about stats? Is it all celestial and crit rune? is it berserker or viper? For which class each?
I dont get it. How is weaver, arguebly the most complex spec in the game.. the easiest to play? Like at an optimal level? Are you making fun of elementalists?
The video is about the open-world builds that I made, not about specs in general. Check the light armor specs link video in the description and see why I said weaver is the easiest ele spec.
Weaver is very complex with Weave Self and full boon support. He benefits a lot from Quickness/Alacrity and his glass cannon build is very unforgiving. In Open World Weaver just degrades into a tanky button masher.
GS Mirage is pretty good for just open world roaming and tagging multiple mobs around. Has strong burst, allowing to slain regular mobs fast. Pretty bad vs bosses Deadeye can be good vs single bosses, but really hate when adds around, because too squishy Vindicator - not tested, not my style Mech is God everywhere, I love this class. He is like Deadeye on steroids, but can deal with lots of adds pretty well either.
I leveled a chronomancer cause I saw videos which said it was a tank now I see vindicator is the tank I dont get this game at all ! my all time for nothing
@@procerator it honestly just felt like there should be 4 elite specs. But I can understand if it was starting to get too complicated for the Devs. I'm perfectly happy with classes having a few more weapon unlocks. Like I still hope ranger gets a rifle one day so it can be a hunter. 😊
Catalyst is ez if youre an ele player like me. Untamed is difficult for rangers because other ranger specs and core have been easy so theyre not used to difficulty. Ele players are VERY used to juggling many buttons and weaver raid build is most difficult btw not cata
I have all the 3 specs of Ele while I have SB and Untamed for Ranger. I guess he is comparing within it's own class. As what bolt have mentioned, Cata is the most relax to play compared to the 2 specs of Ele, a more relaxed gameplay compared to the more fast paced counterparts. As for the Untamed, I guess since it is more complicated in general compared to the more simplier and straightforward other specs counterparts.
Untamed: High dps & high sustain but very complicated* Catalyst: High dps & high sustain but not easy to master* -The only thing required for a catalyst is to use skills and swap elements fast & constantly. -For Untamed to reach "High DPS" to match Soulbeast & Druid or catalyst DPS (check the screenshot in the description). Sorry but i totally disagree with your elementalist part. All elementalists can solo very easily with earth elementals bc they can tank and you have huge dps. And you can play catalyst with sword which is easier to play.

Thank you ! And the video is even better than the last one ! You did and amazing job !
Don't know too much about soloing in this game, but it's nice to see people arguing in the comments.
That means that a lot of classes can perform well even if they are lower in your tier list.
All classes can solo OW events, but this tier list is about showing who will perform better than others based on the builds I made.
Yeah I know, it's just it's nice to see that people can argue that their stuff is better etc.
I didn't ask for it. But, this is what I needed. tyvm
Thank you! Great video!
Do you have an update guide for the current game?
my dude hope all is going well love you
Very complicated for Untamed?
Rotation: ruclips.net/video/QRrFeX42pIY/видео.html
Note: if you check the "Medium Armor specs" video in the description I have 2 builds for untamed the one that uses a shortbow and the other uses an axe/torch, both have the same DPS.
Great job as usual, thank you for video and builds
alac specter with chrono relic and all wells is 100% uptime on alac and quickness for yourself in all content and its fun to spam
Thank you Hizen! Your builds never failed me 👍👍👍
I love both mirage and virtuoso for open world tbh, the daggers are so fun but so is the mirage gameplay
I used the Harbinger build and it gave the game back it's awesomeness to the point I'm going to try the other builds.
Can anyone explain why he's saying Chrono can't deal average damage?
Seriously because I get like 21.5k solo dps on a dummy and at least 15k while being nearly unkillable on champion bounties.
where i can find the mirage build showcased in this video?
can i use rifle instead of shortbow in deadeye?
i definitly dont understand how you can put reaper and berserker at thos places and under the mech bladesworm soulbeast etc... x)) maybe you have just play them quickly
As a mirage, I can guarantee that it is very comfy to play.. Porting, dodging, and confusing enemies are so fuuuun to do :)
Love the video!
:grins: Given that I have just made a Vindicator, guess who shall be heading off to see your build :D
Great video. To me i feel like the comfy part lowers the tiers for me. Most of those are so dull to play because they are too simple. I love smashing the keys fast af on berserker. Other fave used to be power renegade, gotta take a look at other versions now!
is this tier list works for other expansion too (HOT, POF, EOD)?
Love your videos
If you are looking for group content builds I highly suggest checking SnowCrows website
SnowCrows: snowcrows.com/builds
@@LordHizen The only Celestial builds there is about CeleBrand. I asked because you seem the most devoted with celestial testing. Thanks for the response though.
Some coordinated groups runs Fractals CMs without a healer. A hybrid build would be there to watch out for mistakes.
For anyone wondering about the video I mentioned: ruclips.net/video/8zfjv3ns0rY/видео.html
@@mateusbrilhante.Yes which is why cele firebrands are viable. However, there just isnt many other builds that have same viablility as them. Im trying cele scourge but it simply doesnt scale well due to output issues. Fb's have alot of value outside of their heal/dps output thanks to their flexible utilities.
Is this still relevant or have patches/expansion changed it a lot?
I don't get what's complicated on Untamed. But at the same time, I would never use a shortbow on Untamed, when proper hybrid weapons exist for ranger.
For Untamed to reach "High DPS" to match Soulbeast & Druid DPS (check the screenshot in the description).

I also tried herald but it too felt a little clunky for me with the stance AND weapon swapping constantly.
if you listen to the level of 'excitement' in Hizen's voice then Vindicator should be alright for you. an alternative might be mechanist
@@embreis2257 cool thanks! I’ll go mess around with them in the pvp lobby 😅
try herald a little longer bro, it will be much easierrrr if you get used to 😂
@@Lol-ui5dc I will, gonna try the shortbow build, looks legit
Dear Lord, after all the spears and new builds can you update the tier list?
I generally don't like playing condi builds. Aside from warrior and vindicator, what specs have viable power builds?
Mesmer chronomancer is a great power build that also does dps support with only swapping a grand master trait. Chronomancer out damages virt and mirage right now. And once you get used to the shatters it has very good sustain.
Personally I run chrono for most pve with power mirage for pvp.
Power herald is still really strong
reaper
literally every class has one. necro, power cata and weaver will fk you and everything else, power chrono, power sulbeast, power untamed, power deadeye, power mechanist and scrapper lol
I tried herald and felt it was super squishy compared to scourge.. Really want to love it though T_T
herald isn't squishy at all.
I much enjoy my reaper or mechanist (and I basically never pick gunpowder classes in mmos almost as a fixed rule).
i always solo dungeon with my herald.
keep going you helped me !!
Love you vids bro.
/bow
Quite well argued list.
And which you think is easiest to play while offers still good dps and sustain?
Hi ! I love your tier list ! when you do another one ? greetings from Poland ❤
as main guardian i want to cry
The only thing missing is the list of the most fun specs to play in the open world
adding a subjective variable would make it way less comprehensive, so it was the right choice not to include fun factor
Dagger/Axe + Hammer Spellbreaker is very satisfying. Dagger 2 leap, Axe 5 tornado, Hammer F1 stomp
The word "fun" itself is subjective
@@IceCommander1111 That's why I want to know lord haizen's tastes.
Fun is subjective
Guess someone beat me to it
is the list still up-to-date?
as a new player , necro and thief, which one is better
Necro 100%
I just picked up Revenant returning to the game after a long break. Good to see its a top tier class for all specs. I'm just starting to unlock Renegade, but now that there's weapon master training, I might switch to Herald (i just really wanted the bow for condis, but all the boons sounds fun too).
How is Weaver considered the EASIEST elementalist spec?? 😭
It only talks about a particular build who only use two element (and I'm not even sure that you need to double attune) So the build is easy, but the class isn't (tempest is easier)
I just roll tempest, couldn't get into weaver or catalyst. I like healing as tempest and i understand this spec way better than the others.
Is that Heal Herald+Power Vindicator?
@@Sarcaustik Heal Herald and Power Herald
I haven't played GW2 in a while but its sad to see guardians nerfed into the ground :(
I feel like there has to be a way to make a decent condi firebrand OW build.
He hates Virtuoso tbh
The comments on weaver confuses me. So its easier than tempest and catalyst but its sustain is slightly worse cause you have to stop and swap to water element to heal. So based off the rest of the list this sort of sounds A tier to me but it was put in B
Sustain much lower compare to catalyst and tempest*
not slightly.
it is easy? hahahahahaha@@LordHizen
bro the fact that literaly yesterday I change my ascended firebrand stats to dragonhunter….then i see this video….
I disagree with him on FB and DH tbh, both pull out great dps and are hella fun.
Hey!! Where i can find that mester lengendary build plzzzzz
As a Ranger main, untamed is the most powerful class for soloing bosses.
It also has the simplest rotation.
simplest? lol?
constant swaps, pressing most weapon skills + utility + pet skills (both untamed and dont) and all of that should be timed well is 'simplest' now?
Stop, unleash, all pet skills, unleash, ambush.
is it possible to get a best open world core build?
nice, thanks :)
I just run around with my Spellbreaker Warrior swinging a hammer all day. Pays the bills.
Can you please give your fashion, you look amazing
So it isn't as bad as Hizen said 😄
8:08 Is that a Condi Deadeye build? if so, what's the build?
Note: Current holosmith have higher damage & easy to play

WARNING ABOUT DEAD EYE:
It's only legendary tier for certain encounters.
Let me simplify it:
* "missing some attacks due to moving mobs, mechanics" This reason falls to all melee range not just deadeye + dagger 3 chase the target not locked in a specific area "back & forth".
* Deadeye cant die easily also it's able to "evade" in the middle of Dagger 3 check this clip: ruclips.net/video/FCkA5isFwfk/видео.html
* Landing backstab is part of the build to maximize the damage yes, the same thing goes to any other spec like bladesworn landing dragon slash etc, etc.
* The reason I said legendary tier is not only because it has good damage or healing, but also can spam Shortbow 2 to kill a group of mobs and heavy CC by spamming skill 4 on Shortbow.
@@LordHizen
"* "missing some attacks due to moving mobs, mechanics" This reason falls to all melee range not just deadeye + dagger 3 chase the target not locked in a specific area "back & forth"."
Not true. If you try to use this build on certain bosses like the gangwar meta or soo-won, it becomes a problem which is perfectly fine with other melee focused specs.
"* Deadeye cant die easily also it's able to "evade" in the middle of Dagger 3 check this clip: "
I should clarify, I meant in the middle of spamming Dagger 3.
"* Landing backstab is part of the build to maximize the damage yes, the same thing goes to any other spec like bladesworn landing dragon slash etc, etc."
Considering you came up with this build, you should know better.
Hello - do you have a vindicator build?
I came here for a solo warrior build but I just wanna play more vindicator... damnit! I love easy xD
قواك الله عالمجهود ضبطنا بكلاس زين شنو تنصح توني منزل اللعبه وابي شي قوي للمتعه 👌🏿
Rifle de is fine. It just doesnt have enough cleave for some encounters
I really like revenant but I can't for the life of me remember all the skills
You can try Ele and then everytning would feel simpler. Or just run Mirage, is quite easy.
i don't understand why you say than herald had amazing dps (18,3k) and scourge decent dps (18,7k)
herald can burst its damage pretty fast, while scourge takes time till the damage builds up.
That's why I said Herald has amazing DPS since it will kill any elite mobs or lower faster compared to Scourge.
but against a boss fight, both will perform almost the same DPS
Does anyone know the builds/talents for each spec Hizen is using for each of the specs mentioned on the video??
He says, "I hope this video was helpful, I am not a fan of making tier list videos, so I hope Anet won't ruin this current tier list soon." And then ANET drops the proposed changes for the balance update to drop next week....sorry bud! I feel for you lol. But I LOVE tier lists so....I look forward to the next one! 😜
Untamed should be on the Legendary you can have full HP every 9 Secs with the 33% lifesteal
For Untamed to reach "High DPS" to match Soulbeast & Druid or catalyst DPS (check the screenshot in the description).
The rotation is very strict since you need to land 2 dagger ambush attacks in 9s before swapping to Shortbow, also there is no buff to tell you "when you are ready to reuse ambush attack" unlike other specs.
So it is "very complicated" for the majority of players or new players to do.
Why you didn't put core specs in the tier list?
Effe-Skills
daredevil is the best thief spec most easy and best dps i dont know how u can put it in under performing
Tempest is way easier than weaver. It's much slower and your choices are not as punishing as weaver getting out of cycle.
Dang how is revenant so strong
My favorite is Vindicator, is god
vindicator also looks hot and others dont
It should have been Tier Herald at the top and then everyone else under that.
Vindi is tankier. Also, Seneb in 2'40" including going from the wall of bounties is just insane...
Overlord is hard working o7
Are you kidding me? Virtuoso is not Legendary tier??? Are you sure you tried the right build?
Virtuoso is pretty bad in solo open world content.
@@paul6350 i might be using the wrong build then cause mine is super OP compared to the rest. Not joking or anything like that.
GS Mirage is pretty good for just open world roaming and tagging multiple mobs around. Has strong burst, allowing to slain regular mobs fast. Pretty bad vs bosses
Deadeye can be good vs single bosses, but really hate when adds around, because too squishy
Vindicator - not tested, not my style
Mech is God everywhere, I love this class. He is like Deadeye on steroids, but can deal with lots of adds pretty well either.
upvoted for pronouncing AEGIS correctly 👍
I'm sad theyre done with elite specs. I so wanted Ele to get the Shroud. Go in and out of an elemental form sounds so badass.
I leveled a chronomancer cause I saw videos which said it was a tank now I see vindicator is the tank I dont get this game at all ! my all time for nothing
This is why i feel bad for new players. Gw2 patch can fck up new players who don't have legendary armor.
So spellbreaker jsut trash tier on all aspects? what an interesting game this is, guess its final staw to drop this unbalanced timesink.

I wish we had one more class in this game. Most of them are similar to play
Yeah hopefully the weapon unlocks later will help with that feeling. Like I hope staff warrior will feel like a spear.
@@lunerlillyohhh that would be awsome. But what about spear for everyone and not just underwater :D
@@danielwaldhoer7544 I wish!
we have 27 specs, you want more?
@@procerator it honestly just felt like there should be 4 elite specs. But I can understand if it was starting to get too complicated for the Devs. I'm perfectly happy with classes having a few more weapon unlocks. Like I still hope ranger gets a rifle one day so it can be a hunter. 😊
Untamed: High dps & high sustain but difficult to play: B tier
Catalyst: High dps & high sustain but difficult to play: S tier
I see. Okay.
Untamed: High dps & high sustain but very complicated*
Catalyst: High dps & high sustain but not easy to master*
-The only thing required for a catalyst is to use skills and swap elements fast & constantly.
-For Untamed to reach "High DPS" to match Soulbeast & Druid or catalyst DPS (check the screenshot in the description).
The rotation is very strict since you need to land 2 dagger ambush attacks in 9s before swapping to Shortbow, also there is no buff to tell you "when you are ready to reuse ambush attack" unlike other specs.
So it is "very complicated" for the majority of players or new players to do.
Sorry but i totally disagree with your elementalist part. All elementalists can solo very easily with earth elementals bc they can tank and you have huge dps. And you can play catalyst with sword which is easier to play.
