I happened to view ur video only today.zi like the way explained.I am a special educator who has brought many children to the mainstream Thank u for all the information.
I accept that it is 100% true. But you should not avoid the autistic people. Even normal kids also will need a support in certain areas. So definitely high functioning kids also will be considered as near normal and lead the independent life. Support your children in their weak areas that's all. No need to worry about whether the child is autistic or not. Lot of medical terms recently developed and they give name to our child as autistic. Ignore that learn with your child and support them.
Who knows even all of us will be in the same spectrum. But we need less support so that we think that we are normal. All kids are normal kids and all of them will have their own strength and weaknesses.
Parents knows their children very much than any one in the world. If you see the improvements in your autistic kids do continue the same. Once the kids understand he will be the master of it. Don't worry about them their brains are powerful and do things in different way. They find a solution unimaginably and they are made for this purpose.
I totally agree that - everyone needs a different kind of support ! But labeling children to be high or low functioning can be harmful, Autism is not a medical condition, It is Natural neurodiversity ! Yes absolutely ! Many undiagnosed autistic adults are around us, without being aware. Seeing Autism as a label can be damaging ! As autistic adults, embrace and celebrate their identity ! When a person knew that they are autistic, it becomes easier to ask for accommodations and advocate for their needs at schools, workplace etc !

Hi mam,my son was 4yrs old,he hv mild autism,we r taking therapy for past 1yr,now he's speaking nt by the sentence one one word,but he use to sing rhymes in sentence,he refuses to go to school,hes in pre nursery,there he use to cry/scream more to go to home,we r located in Bangalore now,education system was quite hard for hm to understand and to repeat,we thought to continue speech therapy with occupational therapy mam,wil it helps hm to understand and mingle with other children,pls answer mam
