Just bought the 2021 venture edition 11-14-2020. I got the trd skid plate and the black chrome performance exhaust. And so far it is awesome. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤤🤤🤤
I literally just got a Magnetic Grey Venture earlier this week. And then its been raining heavy nonstop since, and i have to go miles out on old county roads, dirt and gravel, and its an upgrade in every way to my old jeep i had to replace. Such a great all around capable ride.
Two things though, for the viewers:
That blue, seriously, looks incredibly great in person. Pictures never quite do it justice.
Im late to the party on new cars and was behind the times and looking for the CD player (who uses CDs still, right? Oh. Me. Oops.) but this isnt a complaint, its just a heads up. Clarification: there isnt one. - you have bluetooth, usb direct device plug in, sirusxm, etc options though.

I'm glad you did the laying down in the back test. I was wondering about that. I seen some people online say they remove the seat bottoms of the 2nd row so they can have more room to lay down.

Jeff, 'Nautical' dark blue is a classic hue we don't see often enough. Since you asked, Venture is very nice but the SR5 4Runner is the best deal in the 4X4 market.

@@jessieh.8443 The Toyota 4Runner get average gas mileage compared to other 4-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicles. With an average 17 miles per gallon in everyday driving conditions. This is a reasonable level of fuel economy for a rugged body on frame vehicle

Really hoping the next generation gets a heated steering wheel and a more fuel efficient transmission/engine combination. I’m thinking the 4Runner would be the perfect vehicle for my plan to spend a few months driving around the country. Would like to go off road a bit out west. This would accomplish that along with being comfortable enough for my wife and I during long days of driving.
Venture is the trim I want (about this time next year). Love the wheels and the black bumper (hate the silver/gray of other trims). Wish the radar was behind the logo like some models.

I have the 2020 TRD base in Barcelona Red. It has 98% of the 2021 Venture's features, but at about 85% of the price.
Driving across the US in this vehicle throughout February. Mine has some kind of a wrap on it so it's like orangeish red.

I am in between this one and the jeep wrangler. Although the wrangler is cool this car is growing on me. It looks comfortable but yet it has that look that I am looking for. It looks like its pretty customizable in the event I want to add aftermarket parts. Fyi. Your videos are awesome!!!!
Love my 2020 pearl white venture. Wish I held out for the 2021's LED lights but I got a good deal on mine. Watching from Northern VA.
I have the same vehicle as yours in super white. I added LED low, high and amber fogs for $110-120. Also interior LED’s for $15 or so. They are really inexpensive and simple to install.

The TRD pro should have fully adjustable passenger seats as well. There e is a comfort difference between the two. I never sat shotgun during the test drive so I did not notice it.
This is exactly what I want. Same color. No slide out drawer in the rear either.

Love the videos you do Jeff! I like the legacy of 4runner but they are so antiquated. Unless they do something about it, TRD editions are going to get crushed in 2021 with so many options including Bronco coming up.

New car smell is actually off gasing of leather, however I thought Toyota was not using real leather in their vehicles because they wanted to be animal friendly in their use of materials for their vehicles.
Smoke Stack I’m cool with that and personally I don’t care if it’s real leather or not. But the smell is giving my wife and me a headache. I have to put vinegar and mandrain peel to absorb the smell. Anyways it’s getting better and hopefully the detail cleaning will get rid of it

Jeff! Greetings from West TX! I have placed an order for a 21 Taco TRD Offroad manual trans back in July. It looks like Manuals are taking 5-6 months to deliver.. Is that correct? I own a series of Toyota 4x4's 90 Hilux Diesel, 97 4Runner and 00 LC... Oh... I like you'r 90's hits.... Don't forget to sing one or two hits...
The manual is worth the wait.

Why doesn’t the TRD Pro have the MTS AND CRAWL like the Tacoma? Only the Venture and TRD Off Road have the MTS and CRAWL. Seems like you’re just paying for that suspension and skid plates.
You need to come to Texas so I can buy my Pro from you.

It needs the update already. 36k for the subpar handling, mpg and technology. And that's just the base! This guy is bragging about freaking led headlights for gods sake in 2020.
