  • I went to Hong Kong again! I will stay at the Regent Hong Kong this time. I booked this (original) room using my IHG free night certificate + 26,000 IHG points. The room is quite nice. However, there was some plumbing issues, so I got upgraded to a suite instead. That is why there are two rooms shown in this video.
    Both rooms only have a partial harbor view. It is a nice hotel for sure.
    Please take a walk with me to Regent HK~
    All of my travels will use my OWN money, OWN points, and OWN miles. I do not use points/miles/money earned from any referrals. I have zero referrals. I also do not use any so-called "player 2" cards.
    I will not have any of the following in the description or in any of my videos:
    1) No credit card referral links;
    2) No sponsorships;
    3) No referencing credit card management applications;
    4) No recommendations of any shopping portals where I receive a kickback;
    5) No funny or confused faces in the thumbnail of my video; and
    6) No asking anyone to like and subscribe to my videos, although I hope that you do so.

    Does the staff escort every customer or its just that you are making a YT video and they choose to go extramile.

      Good question. I do believe that the staff does escort every customer to their room and introduce the stuff inside the room and not because I was making a YT video. I am also a IHG Platinum member if that made any difference.

    In the first room shown in your video, Isn't it a bit odd that you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the door entrance if you're sharing this room with someone like a friend or relative? It seems to me that it can be very awkward or even inconvenient if one person is showering or bathing and the other person is trying to enter or leave the room...

      Oh, you do bring up a valid point. It should be noted that the shower and toilet are up another narrow hallway that is not shown on the video around the 4:19 mark. It is just the tub and the sink that is kind of out in the open. Thanks for commenting!

      @@PingPingTravel ok. But there is no door to completely block the shower area from the rest of the bathroom? Your first room is kind of good that it still has a hallway. I saw some other rooms shown on RUclips is like the shower is right next to the bathtub. I think that design is just outright inconvenient for friends and relatives to share a room… am I right?? Anyway, I still don’t understand why they have this kind of design of having the bathroom right next to the entrance in most of their rooms… make no sense to me…

      You are right. There is no door to completely block the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. I do not recommend this hotel for friends and relatives who will share a room. It does look nice but is not practical for privacy purposes. The suite room is definitely better in that regards.
