3:04 Every ebike brochure that features these tires always say "puncture-resistant" but it's common knowledge in the ebike community that these are the exact opposite. Every ebike uses them simply because they're cheap. A 'goathead' impaled its way through my front tire on my second ride of my new ebike! The compound is too soft and the blocks are too small. However, CST's street tire, "Big Boat" are way more durable because of the wider tread and blocks. My Big Boat tires haven't given me a single issue. Here's my recommendation: swap out the BFTs ASAP and keep them as spares.
Thank you for watching and for the well crafted comment. You are correct. They look to be fairly thin tires. I always carry a spare and tire tools when I ride. My wife has had flats before, again on thinner sized CSTs. I would prefer Kenda tires, but even higher priced models from Juiced, Rad, etc., have CST tires. Thank for for contributing this information! 👍👍👍
