I love that it doesn't matter how much experience you have, it still seems like gigantic task because it is! Wow, it's so much work. I love embroidery, beading, tweed, and Chanel so this is just heaven for me!
Love this. It was very helpful. Would love to see you do a regular one to see what the difference is in the amount used. It was also helpful to hear you explain your process your thought process. Also, can’t wait to see the green!
You know i love your beads that are so extravagant, that i think, i wiil encorporate actual pearl and other antique bead necklaces, i have collected through the yrs.
I loved everything about this RUclips and want sew much more. Would love to know where to get this type of fabric. I hope to see more of your classes. Gail Budreau

Beautiful, a work of art. There are many of these sites in explain, and create Chanel jacket in different ways. Not that I’ve looked at every comment to see if anyone has asked this question and if it has been answered; how do you clean such a jacket? I am specifically though referring to the trim, what if something on there isn’t really dry cleanable you know sometimes we get creative and then realize that we are having to troubleshoot something. Like I made a beautiful handpainted blouse for my mom, but it has to be dry cleaned or it’ll be wrinkled to know avail. Luckily online I found something to glue the rhinestones on it that is dry cleanable. I believe that the trim could be made removable by small snaps, if it stitched onto some ribbon or velvet or something like that, but I was just curious, I think in all these tutorials, the artist needs to include how you clean such an item. Because inevitably if it’s well-made, and it lasts for years and years there’s going to be a time you’re going to want to do that. Thank you for your patience and your creativity.❤
Thanks so much! I made a whole video about how I clean and care for these beaded tweed jackets. With this one I carefully cut the stitches that hold the trim onto the jacket, dry clean the jacket then sew the trim back on. It's cheaper than going to a specialist dry cleaner.
Very interesting video. I watched it got the trimming - very unique. I just wish you’d slow down with moving the camera around as there’s no time to focus on your beading and I felt quite seasick. Beautiful jacket though.
This was my first video. I was searching for Chanel jacket trims and up you popped. I’ve been on a few courses for the jackets but they never spent enough time on the trims which, I think, are the icing on the cake. I look forward to exploring more of your videos. ❤️
Thanks! I've had the dress form for years. Any box store, like JoAnn Fabrics will have them on sale a few times a year. I just keep checking then buy it on sale. Stiff net can be found in the costume/cosplay/dance section. Tell them you're making a 1950s petticoat and they'll point you to the stiff netting not the soft tulle.
I use netting as the backing fabric. No, I haven't seen it done before on jackets. I got the idea from vintage Christian Dior gowns, they often have a structural dress under the pretty outside dress. The internal dress holds everything in place, the outer shell is just very pretty. The hand sewing takes a lot of time but it means my jacket will age well and look the same for decades without me having to do a lot of maintenance.

Thanks so much! Yes, it really is a lot of effort but when it'z finally done you get to wear the jacket forever, so I think it's worth it. 🥰🧥🎨
I loved how your vision for the beading evolved. I didn’t think the soldiers would work but I’m converted!
Thanks! 🧥💕

Thank you! Yes, it's an older video. I'm much better at the camerawork aspect of making sewing videos now. It did not come easily to me.

@@PerfectJacket thank u for responding to me
What pattern did you use? It is very flattering with the nipped in waist
Thanks! I used the Vogue 7975 but I cropped off 4 inches /10cm at the hem because the original pattern is too long for me. 🥰🧥🎨
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! 🥰🎨🧵🪡🧥
