You can unscrew the peepsight and then mount any decent mount in the rails.. Not sure where to get the magazines, I'd usually check out the discount bins at gunstores or gun markets.. You can also check out eBay or ask around on milsurps.. How many do you got? And please note that there's two different types of mags.
I'm not even going to film the putting-it-back-together. It usually takes me a full hour of cursing and numerous attempts and the sudden realization I forgot yet another tiny-yet-essential part.
@@danielroesner2342 There's a website dedicated to dis- and reassembly of this rifle. You can find it with a bit of googling. Also, I don't own this rifle anymore.
It's a german sporting rifle.. not an M1 carbine.. not really a plinker either.. If you take good care of it, use the right ammo, it is more reliable and accurate than any .22lr semi-auto on the market, and I kid you not.
Anyone know where to get a recoil spring or a spring that will fit i took my stock off to clean and it flew out when i put it back it the bolf would not stay in battery or fire semi
you can make magazines for them quite easily by modding a Mossberg 22LR Plinkster magazine :) I did it and they work great :) sadly none of the nice magazine shroud to make it look right. Lovely gun though eh :)
Too bad. I gave it away to a young chap at our shooting club, some years ago. There are great disassembly/assembly guides (illustrated) on the internet, though.
The best ammo is CCI Standard Velocity (lead round nose) ....don't try CCI Stingers, they'll ruin your gun. Mind you that this rifle was made in a time when lead round nose .22lr were the only type of .22lr ammo available on the European market.
I have a problem with mine.... it seems every time I take it out to shoot it. I cock it then I shoot, the bullet shoots but my shell always gets stuck in the chamber. Is it because of the new magazines or the type of bullets.... I dont think its the bullets because the problem just started to happen recently.
Which one? Standard? Match? My experience with Federal (Standard) is that they put too much wax on the bullets, this wax may clog up the entrance to the chamber, and then shells get stuck. You could also clean the barrel and chamber with Ballistol after each session (and wipe it dry of course). Ever since I switched to Standard Plus 22lr (a German brand), all the feed issues dissapeared like Olaf in summer. And I haven't cleaned the carbine since, well, since this video. lol
hey I am trying to put the thing back together but when I put the slide on the receiver it will not let me put both of the pins in... when one is placed the other is one milimeter off too high, and when i start with the other one its the same... cant put this shit back together. tips?
Yes.. this one is famous. This part is the reason why I almost never took it apart anyway. Luckily, I found this website discussing reassembly: www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_EM9.html
Outstanding.. It's german made, so expect a lot of Teutonic Gnome Magic inside... Can't find a better .22 lr semiauto rifle. A shame they went bankrupt some years ago..
i came here because of your gun, but i kind of find your background music strangely familiar.. i get the feeling of familiarity but i cant put my finger on how or when i got to know this song hmm..
YaoiMastah no wonder it reminded me of something.. after googling his name i found he composed so many songs and this particular song was from totoro, i remember we had a vhs of that movie when i was a kid, ahh fond memories of childhood restored through a song hahaha.. anyways nice gun, i happened to pass by your video while i was searching for instructional videos on field stripping erma lever action rifles(lever action lead to semiauto.. youtube..), i have an erma werke model eg71 22lr lever action rifle but its kind of worn out it was given to me by my uncle, anyways again nice gun wish i had that same gun instead of the lever action one.. sure looks complicated when field stripping but id take it any day, thanks again : )
You need a bench block sir, then you won't be looking for parts on the floor!
Thanks for the video and the humorous captions!!
Thanks so much - you just saved me a lot of headaches - the link to the other website is a treasure trove of information.
Hay bro how about doing a video on putting together with over view I think it would help a lot cheers

Could you maybe do another attempt for re-assembly in close up for the inside parts? I cant get the trigger to work after rrassembly :(

I recently made all those puzzled faces, frowned in disgust and looked around for the parts that fell out.

Location of camera quite too far away from vision vicible.
Next time, maybe some closer camera views? Can't see anything past broad generalities in this one. I need details, man!

What ammo are you using? I explained the differences in ammo in the review vid.
Federal Premium... .22 Cal. Long Rifle

I'm late to the party but check that the extractor part of the bolt is not gunked up beyond moving. Most of these guns never had a proper cleaning,
@@paulhare662 NO kidding. And i can see why.
