so satisfying to see a 40 minute gameplay of the cyberspace. now imagine the open world, puzzle, story etc with it. this game definitely is longer than forces
and then they said that the levels of sonic forces were short, anyway if we compare these levels with "generations" and "unleashed" they definitely lose

Just started playing this game yesterday and I got to say this is the kind of challenge I need before this came out the only Sonic game that was real challenge was Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Adventure 2
I like how a lot of the last Island's cyberspace levels FEEL a lot like levels from Adventure 2, Heroes, Unleashed and Generations, but you can't quite pinpoint if they are or aren't. The one that I know for sure is a level from Adventure 2 is 4-1 in Metal Harbor. Levels like 4-3 FEEL like Bullet Station but it's really hard to tell if it is. These levels almost feel like a sonic level design teaching tool for new designers, and they sort of made their own sa2 or unleashed-style levels for the last island. It's really cool.
when I got to 3-1, that's when I realized they brought back old stages. I'm very happy they brought back more obscure stages and the best ones. Green Forest is a jam.
I enjoyed these stages alot more than I thought, the lightspeed dash is a dope reintroduction to sonics arsenal, though if you use it in goofy ways, you get some goofy results in this game
i like how most of the comment section didnt even properly watch the footage and assumed all level design is reused when all the final island ones at the end are like 90% original level design and are like, really strong in terms of level design there's also long stages later on too so like, im a little confused
doesnt change the fact that 90% of cyberspace is reused and 90% of the levels dont reach the 1 minute and 20 seconds mark. obviously there are exceptions, but that doesnt change the fact that the comment section is generally correct about cyberspace being short and reused levels
@@kao7143 because their unfullfilling. compare forces lost valley to unleashed windmill isle. lost valley ends super abruptly whereas windmill isle feels satisfying because it feels like you played an actual level at not a minigame. it doesnt help that frontiers cyber stages can be even shorter with some reaching only 40-55 seconds. imagine if generations/unleashed had stages that were only 30 seconds long
@@gggsh7 difference is the cyberspace levels are side stages that can be skipped by avoiding all portal gears and actively finding keys by cylooping treasure spots if cyberspace was the whole game id agree but they're short stages that help you progress to unlocking emeralds
@@kao7143 but the thing is that they are the main way to get vault keys and the other ways are extremely basic and or repetitive. so the only fun way to do it is also the one where they are short as hell. side stages isnt much of an excuse for 40 second long stages either, now it doesnt need to be unleashed with the 5 minute long levels, but i think theres a major problem if a majority can either not or just barely reach the 1 minute mark. skipping them isnt ideal since you'll still be missing out on a good portion of the game (which also in turn introduces more repetition) and playinf them isnt so much better since like i said before they still are unfulfilling as hell
People are expecting Cyberspace levels to play like full length boost formula levels when they’re basically the special stages and supposed to be shorter lol. Even then a lot of them are still better than everything in Forces and a lot of Colors. Plus the levels only get better and more enjoyable as you progress. I swear people are just finding the stupidest excuses to hate on Sonic for no reason. Amazing game.
this comment is what happens when you meatride. the problem with this levels is that alot of them are just rehashes of previous levels but with worse physics, shorter length, and only 4 different level aethestics. i dont think people are being unjustifiably hateful towards this game when it has these kinds of problems. also it being better than forces is not an achievement because forces stages were hot garbage and most of these levels arent original anyway, they just take from past boost games. these levels are only better than the act 3-6 levels of colors anyway, which is also not an achievement since those stages suffer from the same problems
That moment when you can pinpoint which stage each levels is based on... Wait... Are they only from Sonic Adventure2, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations?
These levels are still better than anything in Forces. The best Forces had was Mortar Canyon and you can basically just fly over the entire level with broken air boost.
@@jesuspernia8031 Null space, capital city, arsenal pyramid, egg gate are all better than mortar canyon. You'll see just how awful Mortar Canyon is if you go look at the beta design. It's looking grim 😔 Cyberspace is them literally stealing a level layout from an older game and slapping green hill, sky sancuary, or chemical plant on it. Either that or just porting the original level. I'd be cool with it if the physics was like Gens, the game they love using levels from.
That's not how it works. You don't just 'port' shit over to a completely different engine. You recreate it _from scratch._ And it's not stealing.
